APFM stands in the middle of prospects and senior living communities. They fraudulently bill for leads that they did not provide. If you refuse to pay they cut off all new leads. They should be ashamed of the "service" they provide.
The people that answered the phone each time I called were very nice and helpful. I was transferred to a senior living advisor named Carrie. She stated that they could not provide the service I was looking for and stated she would email information with other resources. I never received the information and called back and was given her email. I emailed her and she has not responded. I was disappointed because I was already stressed about finding a facility for my mom and the lack of follow up was very disappointing.
The care my Mother in law is receiving, the friendly staff, and the nice room are all exceptional.
We have had dinner and the food is great. The upper patio is beautiful.
When it is time my Mother will be there also.

I have never received a call back from this company. I am very disappointed. I was really hoping they would help.
They only help if there are funds for the to get a cut of. Swindlers. Don't use them. Do your own research.
They are a kickback agency for certain assisted living facilities. If you are low income or low assets they want nothing to do with you. Stay away. There is no diversity with this sham.
I had no idea what "A Place for Mom" was. My mother-in-law had used the service for her brother and insisted I call. I was beyond thrilled with the associate (Virginia). She was warm, compassionate and efficient. She was not only able to identify locations that fit my needs but also made the reservations and gave me the point of contact information. She also followed up to get my opinion of my experience. I now have successfully literally found a place for mom which she and I are very pleased with. Thank you!
People usually have great luck and sadly I was in a desperate situation with my mom I. Rehab and called them 6 times in 48 hours begging for help. I needed an assisted living or nursing home. No one EVER called me back while everyone promised to do so immediately. I needed their help but it definitely was NOT there
A Place for Mom provide the resources and support that I needed to find the perfect residence for my dad.
I was challenged with getting my father in assisted living and " A Place for Mom" helped me get virtual tours since; I was in California and he was in New York. We picked a place we liked. Flew out and saw it in person. My father is now safe and well care for!
I am so happy that I decided to reach out to A Place for Mom, the advisor for our area called me within 10 minutes after reaching out to "A Place for Mom." She was very knowledgeable and helped our family make the best decision for our aged Mother. She is so happy at Avanti in Covington and actually has a life there which we could not personally provide for her at home. I would highly recommend this company for anyone who loves their elderly parents and wants the best of care for them.
Although we had searched local assisted living facilities in our area several times, we felt a bit overwhelmed trying to narrow down the choices. We appreciated the assistance from Barry. He made suggestions and we visited most of them. Only had one where there had been a miscommunication since we needed a pet friendly location and a favorite option did not allow pets. However, we did find the perfect match after that. Mom is enjoying the food, activities and socializing that she needed. We feel better knowing she's being well card for.
This organization was a great help. Mary Lou Wason was fantastic. She provided a list of several places in my area. She was very sympathetic with what I was going through. She called several times to offer support and ideas. I understand that she has left A Place For Mom to work in a memory care facility. She will be missed. I'm sure the other representatives will do a fine job. If you are facing with the situation like this and need help in making decisions on how to take care of a relative, this is the first place to start.
Everyone was very helpful and kind, my only concern was the place where we ended up going into didn't exactly live up to what they said they would be doing for my mom. They misrepresented what they said they were about, so maybe making visiting they properties a priority would be good! T
I didn't know what to expect when I called for this service but what I got was immediate local contact, followed up by several options to explore and consistent follow up contact by the service and the facilities referred. I tend to procrastinate so this was helpful for me in getting me to do the legwork of making appointments and taking tours and doing the due diligence needed to find the best place for my Mom.
I toured five faculties close to my residence and by the end of these tours I had a clear winner and a runner up. I also had a basic understanding of the business that gave me the confidence that I was making the right decisions for my loved one.
Kelly was terrific. We needed a place right away and she was able to set up a visit with two facilities that same day and two the next day. We found a perfect place for Mom and she is very happy there. I would highly recommend making the call and letting them help with this process and relieving the stress of having to do it on your own.
A Place for Mom led us to housing and care opportunities for my mother that we didn't even know existed. During a time of real stress, it was everything to have someone helping to identify options. Our advisor was calm and certain; his demeanor was a welcomed light during what felt like a dark time.
The moment I contacted them they were very helpful in helping me make an informed decision as to where my dad was going for his needs at this time. The articles they provided me were very helpful in dealing with my loved one going to an assisted living facility.
We didn't know where to turn to. Our sister, who is a senior, needed a place to go to after hospitalization for mental health issues so, I called A Place for Mom to see if they could help. They had helped us find an assisted living residence for my mother in the past so I was hoping they could help here too.
At first they were not sure if they would be able to meet our needs. But, Alyse Engle was amazing and even with our difficult situation/requests, she was able to find the perfect place for my sister and they were able to accept her immediately. I was so impressed with her compassion and diligence in trying to find some place for us. She really understood how stressed I was about the situation and how I felt like no one was there to help us. She was my angel. I don't know what we would have done without her assistance.
I called A Place For Mom while looking for a Memory Care center for my mother. Leslee was able to narrow my search as my mom needed somewhere that would take diabetic patients. I was extremely pleased with the selection and was able to find just the right place for my mother! Couldn't be happier!

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
