I was looking for a place to take my sister. I just happened upon this site. While asking for help, my phone rang and it was person from a Place for Mom. They had so much help already on the way. Once I expressed my need I had a list of places to visit. That helped so much. Once I had several places I liked I became so confused. I called Amy and expressed my confusion. She helped me think about my choice and agreed that I'd made a good choice, I'm so thankful to have found their site.
Called and they were very quick to react because my Dads move was an emergency move. Alicia and Q were very responsive and the picks were good fit for my Dad. Ended up choosing one from their list.
From the very first conversation, the experience with A Place For Mom, made our search for my MIL so much easier and helped with this huge decision. They were helpful throughout the entire experience.
I entered information for my own search, which yielded results I might not have found without this service. I chose one of the places they mentioned.
A Place For Mom was outstanding in my experience, even answering my emails & texts over the weekend. My agent was kind, compassionate & thorough in helping our family. Times like this are challenging & emotional. It really helps to have this service and support!
We didn't know where to start or what to look for, before contacting A Place for mom. My representative (Georgia)helped us through every step of our journey to find care for my father in law. She went over and above to help in a stressful time for our family and we are so grateful for her.
We had special needs for our sister and A Place for Mom did a great job identifying the facility that was not only best suited to her needs but also within our budget. We also appreciated the suggested interview questions that A Place for Mom listed for visiting facilities. We have already recommended A Place for Mom to several friends and family members.
A Place for Mom provided a broad variety of residential options available to us, also helpful assistance in arranging visits. Deborah frequently asked for feedback, facilitating our final selection of Merrill Gardens!
A Place for Mom really opened my eyes to some potential places that were very close to me that I didn't even know existed. I visited several places and finally found the one she needed.
I can't say enough good things about A Place for Mom. When our family needed to find care for a loved one, we felt overwhelmed and unsure where to begin. Their team stepped in with compassion, clarity, and urgency—and in just five days, they helped us secure a safe, loving place for our family member.
They listened, understood our needs, and guided us every step of the way. What felt impossible suddenly became manageable. If you ever find yourself in that position, know that you don't have to do it alone. A Place for Mom truly shows up when it matters most.
We needed a place for my dad that was very close to us. A Place for Mom recommended a few. We looked at three, all of which were close and very nice, and settled on one. A Place for Mom made it very easy.
A Place for Mom helped me find the right fit for a dear friend that needed a community that wasn't too big or small. She needed a place where she could continue to be independent but have assistance available when required. Our counselor worked with us to find a community that integrated both independent living and assisted living. My friend is very happy with her new home.
When my previously 100% healthy 80 year-old mother suddenly had a stroke, I had no idea what to do, who to ask, or where to go. I simply google searched "assisted living facilities" and APFM came up. I simply filled out their info request form and within minutes had a live person calling me asking what they could do to help. I had no idea what came next. APFM staff was understanding, kind, patient and gave me many options and lots of information. Ultimately, I put mom and stepdad in a lovely facility close to where they were already living. They are cared for safe, warm and healthy there. APFM helped me navigate uncharted Waters. There was no charge for their services. They just helped. I couldn't ask for more thank you so much APFM.
This is actually the 2nd time I've used their services.
Now I'm helping my sister with her move from an independent living home in Tulsa OK (A place for mom assisted with this in 2022) to an independent living home in Las Cruces NM.
I was able to connect with Amber, who was my original coordinator and, as usual, she sent me all, the information I needed to locate a home for my sister in Las Cruces. She also arranged a couple of tours for me.
I really appreciate her patience with me because I felt so scattered.
I tell anyone who will listen to utilize A PLACE FOR MOM when they are looking to help someone.
The representative was SO caring and loving! It was a hard time that they made easier! They gave me choices, which I checked out, before signing my husband into one!
Felt high pressure and uncoordinated. Folks calling from so many locations and multiple calls from APOM (not a single point person). Wanted to review some of the online material but stopped when it became clear that looking at your site triggered your cookies, which would then be followed by endless calls, emails, etc.
They helped me so much! So many referrals to different places. I was able to decide on one. I was panicking because after contacting them, I had 1 day to find a place. So happy, they gave my # out to places. One called me and i went to see it, and a miracle, my friend was able to move in the next day when Rehab was making her leave. So fortunate. I highly recommend A Place for Mom. Outstanding communication and caring for my concern.
The agent that helped me ( Stacey) provided a list of places that I was able to explore and finally find a perfect spot for my mother.
Your service has been truly a blessing. With your expertise, quality, and unbiased recommendations, you helped us work through a very overwhelming experience to find a place for our 102 year old Aunt.
I was given 5 days to figure out what to do with my mom. The hospital wanted to kick mom out and not put her into rehab, so time was of the essence. I had never been through this before and A Place for Mom really helped me. It's like, they're the main hub and they connect you with everything and everyone that you need to talk to. From the VA benefits, to Eldercare, to assisted living facilities in whatever region you are looking for in the USA.

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
