Anyvan

Anyvan, I see a lot of bad experiances people have had on anyvan, it is not the company itself, its that there are a lot of cowboys signed up to the site who don't have the proper insurance cover in place barely speak English and havnt a clue what they are doing,
Anyvan gives companys a GOLD BADGE which can be found in the right hand corner of a transport providers profile, this shows that the company has submitted there insurance documents and relivent licences ect. My advice is that they might not be the cheapest but they are more than likely to be professional and give you the piece of mind that your items are covered by the relevant insurance

BORDERING ON CRIMINAL! A total shambles from beginning to end and ANYVAN's infrastructure is dire. They have no other method of contacting the service provider than you the customer, so when there's a problem (and believe me, that is HIGHLY likely and if you're VERY lucky there may only be the one, unlike me who had 2 full weeks of hassle and NO SERVICE WHATSOEVER!) they have no way (nor desire it seems) to help you. The only thing I can say that I got for my paid up front money... despite the fact the website informs you that you don't have to pay in full until the job is completed but by the time you find this out, youve already parted with a £10 deposit... was wall to wall frustration. The whole set up was totally unprofessional from beginning to end. I opted to use 'Roger's Removals' of Blackpool... not the cheapest option but the one who pledged he could do the job on the day required... Parcelforce would have been cheaper in reality. In total I lost the £35 outlay plus the brand new microwave (£65) that was supposed to be delivered back to me, a return that I had already paid out on and had to write off in the end as a direct result of Anyvan and Roger's Removals failures. Fortunately Paypal refunded me the £10 that Anyvan charged me but refused to return, despite the disgusting treatment metered out by them. I will never, never, ever use this bunch of cowboys again and strongly recommend potential future users to think long and hard before investing into this set up... put a match to your banknotes instead... at least that way, you will have something to see for your actions and it's less painful than banging your head against the wall!

I do not recommend Anyvan to anyone, it is an extremely stressful experience. Paid for the service but the removal van never came, there is constant excuses from the removal van driver, we have lost trust in this company.

Well I bought a kids electric bike weight 18kg. I had to get it from Bristol to Sheffield. I looked round for a carrier but most sites didn't go over 15kg. So i went on a site called Anyvan thinking if there was a van going to Bristol they could squeeze this on and make an extra £30 to £40. I was surprised to say the least when the quotes came in at between £74 and £106 a lot more than i paid for the bike. SO this sent me off on a search to find a cheaper way and I found it a company called Senditnow.com. They pick up from your home and deliver to the buyer the next day before noon for only £16.00. They are subsidized by the Royal Mail. So the moral of this tale is if you cant get it cheap enough KEEP TRYING.

Booked a delivery company through ANYVAN to take my household contents (32m3) very little furniture, no white goods just normal average household items from South west France to South East Spain. The drivers turned up at the appointed time (both Polish drivers and non English speaking) in two 20m3 vehicles very slowly started the loading process. They seemed more interested in talking to friends and family on their mobiles. Several hours later they stopped loading vehicle one which was about 50% full. Then proceeded to load vehicle 2 another few hours later when vehicle 2 was about 45% full they stopped loaded and stated they couldn't take anymore due to weight. They departed some 8-9 hours after arrival with more than half of my goods left in a house that I was vacating. House Owner very pissed off with me. The only solution offered by the UK company DD Moving supplying the service that they could send more vehicles at extra cost to me but not guaranteeing if it would one or more vehicles. So to sum up, I watched two half empty vehicles depart for Spain, a large pile of my things sitting on the ground in France. Two days later the drivers arrived with the half empty vehicles and to keep things consistent very slowly offload my goods. So what is the point of getting a quote for a normal transport job of normal household contents and only completing half the job. Vehicles supplied unfit for purpose, or perhaps it is just a scam way to make you pay more when you are in the worse situation to do much about the situation. So the moral of the story the quote you may receive will likely be the starting cost and no where near final cost. BEWARE If you are working to a budget as I was, you will find it blown out the window
As the saying goes cheaper is not necessarily better or in the end cost you less.

From the business

AnyVan.com is the UK’s largest delivery and removal marketplace in the UK and Europe. With over 2.9million users and 80,000 transporters, and partnerships with Gumtree, Zoopla, and Preloved, our sole objective is to make moving, easy and affordable for everyone. From a King-Sized bed to a picture of the Queen; a Piano to a classic Capri; we move anything, anywhere.

Our low prices and customer service quality has earned us a Trustpilot rating of 9.6/10.

AnyVan was initially launched in a reverse-auction style, which offers customers a range of quotes from trusted transport providers, eliminating the search process usually involved in arranging a delivery, and allowing them to choose the best quote for their individual needs.

Continuously evolving, AnyVan now offers a more cutting edge, on demand solution alongside the traditional auction environment - including accurate price estimates and instant booking.
