Cancelled at the last minute, didn't call me to tell me what was happening and had a phone line (which I called 10 times) that would put you on hold for three minutes than hang up. I had to scramble at the last minute to fix their mess, which involved spending a lot more money and cancelling all of my evening plans. As compensation, all that they offered was a refund (which I was obviously entitled to in any event). Would not recommend.

Do not believe that company, or this driver, had a delivery to be realiazdo 22, until today the delivery was not done, and still do not want to give me the money back, the driver does not answer the calls and still block my calls

Horrible experience

Driver showed up 4 hours late at 8pm, the van was not fit for purpose, driver was rushed, stressed and not careful at all with our belongings. Overall horrible experience. Please stay away from this company.

I made a booking through AnyVan in September 2017 to help me move, I requested in my booking that I needed the '1 man help', as my new flat was on the fourth floor, so I needed help carrying my stuff up to the flat, when the 'helper' arrived, not only was I asked if I would mind leaving my belongings in the van so that he could go to the next job - meaning that already I wasn't going to receive adequate help, but also he was a 60 year old man with a limp who did not in any way help me empty my former address, and when we arrived at my current address, the 'helper' literally dumped my stuff in the doorway - which opened on to a road with no regard to the security or potential damage, I had an iMac and PC worth a lot of money and he had no interest in securing my belongings. He emptied the van as fast as possible and then left.
I contacted AnyVan immediately for a refund as I did not receive the service, it took them over 8 weeks to reply and then said they could only refund £25 as I received the service. I absolutely did not and their lack of help was appalling, if you plan on moving avoid this company at ALL COSTS.

After days of promises from the driver that he will call me and also he kept changing the times of collection.
I have emptied the storage and he was supposed to be there at 12.pm and than he changed it to 2.pm and 3.pm and 3:45pm. I told him the storage is closing at 4.pm
Finally at 4, pm he called me that he can't make it cause of the traffic.
They did not refund me or help me or even answer my emails.
My furniture were outside of the storage for the whole weekend (luckily no damage) but had to pay for another company on the next Monday to collect my things.

Received really terrible service, even as a first-time customer. My delivery item was made two days late at great inconvenience to myself and the seller involved. Communication was poor throughout - the driver only called to say he wouldn't be arriving on both days at the time delivery was due. When contacting customer services for help, I was met with an aggressive and accusatory member of staff who positioned that I was just angling for a refund, and went on to state it would be taken from the driver themself. They told me I was 'wrong' to feel uncomfortable about them contacting the driver directly to complain about the situation, even though I explained it would pit me as the customer against the contractor before the job is done. Made to feel guilty for trying to seek help for a service which simply didn't deliver on its promise, as it was sold to me (for a heft price, no less).

All in all, inept and callous business operation which simply didn't deliver on the service as it was sold to me. Offered an arbitrary £15 off which did little to cover the inconvenience and displeasure of using the service. My main learning: it's cheaper and less hassle to just hire a van and do it yourself.

WORST SERVICE

The worst service. Moving home is a stressful situations and they made it more stressful. The agreed time for picking up was 10am and the driver turned up at 8am bearing in mind they charge if you delay the time. Upon arrival the driver complained throughout moving the items and asked me husband to do some work. The worst things is he took a picture of our cooker without our permission. Why?.
Once the items were uploaded to the van he requested extra £38 for the work and we told him we already paid the company £48. Once we got to the new flat the driver refused to offload until we pay the money and they we contacted any van which didnt help becuase they said the driver is self employed. We agreed to pay £20 extra and whilst i was making the payment via any van the driver was off loading. He asked whether we paid and as soon As he got a confirmation he DROVE OFF. He didnt take the stuff inside the building, let left and DROVE off. Ive complained to anyvan who said they will verify what happened. That was 2 wks ago and today they said that i wont even get £20 back. They were rude and they lie to get the money and leave you hanging.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM ANY VAN IF YOU WANT A DECENT SERVIC

Took two shots
October 28, 2017

Having been in the business years ago, I know the difficulties, but the sharp website persuaded me that things might have changed. First failure was to subcontract to a driver/van owner who can simply lie and then hope for the best. At least, they then remade the booking using there own van which they then had some control of. Driver was late but we had mobile number and were able to communicate with him.

Terrible

Anyvan sub-contract out there work, they caused £1500 damage to my motorbike, and when i approached anyvan about this, they washed there hands of it, and said take the driver to the small claims court, but they refused to give me his address, so its impossible... avoid there people

The team was two very young bulgarians kids, not professional movers. They have damaged by corridor while taking out the furniture and the company is refusing to deal with the third party who actually did the delivery. Priced as professional services, very unreliable.
And yes they did not come at the time stated and i have waited the whole day with no one contacting me to reschedule it

We booked a transport for a car from UK to Italy two weeks in advance and gave them availability for one week to arrange the transport. After the day of the booking (and the whole payment) we never heard from them, except when we contacted them first to know if everything was ok. They always told us they were just finalising details.
One day before the last day available for the collection (day we had to move from the address we gave them) we called them again and they said they couldn't make it. Never even had the courtesy to tell us first.
That caused us a great trouble, and in the end we had to drive the car ourselves to Italy without even having the time to organise the trip because we knew about that last minute. Never use them again! Strongly don't recommended!

Promised a luton. Promised to do ALL the lifting. Promised to be there between 12pm and 2pm. Promised to disassemble and assemble furniture. Any promises kept? NONE came in a transit van with all furniture stuffed in and scratched after doing the light inventory while me and my brother in law done all the heavy work after disassembling ourselves. Would not take furniture up stairs in a house because they said it is not a ground floor? Damaged walls and door ramming the furniture that they could carry in. Basically sub contracted the job out to a couple of skinny looking junkies from east end of Glasgow complaining that they only get 40 pound each for the job and called my wife out as a liar when she demanded them to fulfil their promises which they stated. After getting their useless asses out our new damaged house phoned the company anyvan 6 times to complain each time being hung up on. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY AT ANY LENGTH NO MATTER WHAT THEY PROMISE

NEVER, EVER AGAIN!

I wish I'd seen some of these reviews prior to booking! I thought by using this company I was doing things properly for my move as they weren't cheap.
Initially they hadn't recorded the booking yet the website said 'congratulations you're booked in' so on the morning of the move I chased this up. They promised faithfully that a van would be with me that afternoon but got no apology. By 4pm (they said they work until 10pm)my buyers were waiting to move in and I was now sat in their house with my belongings and no van. When I spoke to AnyVan they'd done nothing then told me no one was available until the day after so now, embarrassingly I was holding up the whole chain from moving. I was expecting a Luton sized van or larger for my itemised belongings and stressed this on both occasions so when a Mercedes Sprinter turned up to move the contents of a 4 bed house I knew it wasn't going to fit but was assured by the drivers after inspecting everything that it would. By lunchtime they had filled their van and I still had half my belongings in the house - I spoke to AnyVan again who told me that without paying a further £500 I couldn't have another van & they didn't think they had one until 2 days later anyway!
Thank god for good friends who hired a large enough) van on my behalf, drove 200 miles to get me, packed my stuff & delivered me to my destination, as it was midnight we just wanted to empty the van & go to bed but the carnage that greeted me at the new property was unbelievable! I couldn't even get through the door! They'd literally thrown my stuff in. It cost me another £300 to get my abandoned stuff to the new house and a couple of very tired friends. Never, ever again!

I would recommend avoiding using this company at all costs. Firstly an item was damaged in transit, and then there was an attempt to blame me. That evening I called the customer helpline only to be given a series of half-baked answers before calling back and waiting on hold for 21 minutes before hanging up. When the item was delivered the following day, repairs had been made to the damaged glass of the framed picture, but with a chunk missing from the picture frame. Coincidentally this was not mentioned to me by AnyVan, and only came to light when my client told me and had to fork out £70 to replace the frame. My subsequent efforts to get this matter resolved has simply been met by vague responses that somehow dispute the validity of my complaint, and delaying tactics. I have sent copies of invoices and offered to send emails from my client, yet from start to finish AnyVan have tried to swerve away from any concept of responsibility. It's been extremely embarrassing and unprofessional. The problems all stem from their cavalier approach to firstly looking after the item in transit, and then trying to wash their hands of making it right. I'm out of pocket due to their sloppiness and will recommend advising people to avoid using AnyVan at all costs.

When things go wrong
September 11, 2017

Wait until you have to deal with customer services, be sure to keep a detailed note of what was said when and by who because if they have to listen back to the recorded conversations they are very choice about what they quote back to you. My issue will be going to small claims as a matter of principle. The rest of the experience was quite professional.

NEVER use this service

I would give zero stars if I could. After being messed around with drivers cancelling at the last minute, and arguing with the new driver via text over whether I really needed a VAN like I ordered, he showed up the next day with a HONDA CIVIC HATCHBACK, which is in no way a VAN. The call centre rep refused to send an actual VAN without charge and wanted me to pay again. He had no intention of assisting me. All he wanted was to rip me off again. He got very uncivil. After long discussion with the call centre, they told the driver to unload the vehicle and leave, and told me that they will not refund for that. The driver left and I had AN HOUR to find another mover. I called the company I previously used, and they provided a van, as I asked. Anyvan made my move super stressful, nightmarish and ripped me off for a service that was not provided.

Beware using their services.

Having read positive reviews about AnyVan I decided to book and pay online for a removal service for my elderly Grandmother to save her any hassle. Unfortunately the company decided to charge her an extra £60 on the day for moving a chest of drawers instead of a wardrobe - despite there not being any problem with room in the van or lifting the furniture. This caused her distress and confusion, the team were unhelpful and did not offer any way of resolving my complaint. I'd be better off using a local no thrills cash in hand removals firm next time.
