We've outfitted the entire house with cellular blinds from American Blinds for over the past 10 yrs. Recently 2 of the original blinds we purchased started wearing down. The top down button up cords were getting frayed and breaking from years of use. No fault to the company or the manufacturer. When we inquired about ordering new blinds to replace them they told us that color we used was no longer in stock and sent us some sample colors. None of those would match so we were lost on what to do next. When we asked if there was some way to have them restrung they looked into it for us. What surprised us was that not only did they find a way to have them restrung but they did it for FREE and FREE shipping back to us. ( We did pay to ship to them) A reminder this was way past the warranty on these blinds. We were very impressed and will use them for all future window coverings!

I ordered a rolling shade that was about 7-ft in wide, and 5-ft high. The shade needed to fit an inside mount, which means there was very little margin of error. I measured four times so that I was sure the shade was going to fit because I didn't want to have to deal with a return. The online ordering experience was very thorough, the process covered all the options that a non-expert person would need to consider. After the order, I received updates on the delivery status. The shade arrived, and was packaged in a tube that prevented any type of shipping damage. The directions to hang the shade were very clear, and to my satisfaction, the shade fit & functions perfectly, and does an amazing job of darkening the room.
I RECEIVED THE ORDER AT THE ESTIMATED DATE; HOWEVER, THE ORDER WAS SHORT 6 PIECES AND BY THE TIME I RECEIVED THEM, MY HANDYMAN WASN'T COMING BACK TO INSTALL 6 PIECES SO I HAD TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO IT MYSELF AND CUT THEM A LITTLE ON THE BOTTOM.
I chose the flat roman shade selection for three dining room windows, and they were perfect. Accurate sizing, great fabric, well packaged and the value was exceptional. They also came right on time. Very pleased and will order again!

I like online shopping and have had past good products from AmericanBlinds ever since 2007. But there are changes in your designs, so my current order has these problems:
1. Your new plastic handles sag down making them hard to grasp at the windowsill. They also don't have a universal position option like the blinds in the past making them inconveniently placed for some of my windows... it's not ergonomic.
2. The lift/descend cords are now separated about 1/2 inch. Past blinds had those cords fed through the same hole. The separated design leads to lots of play left and right so the blinds are difficult to "park" at the same height/level. It doesn't look good and it takes more time to get the blind parked evenly.
3. The magnets buried under the plastic casing at the top-down bar are insufficiently strong to grasp the metal "button" of steel on the top rail for a secure and again LEVEL position.
4. The installation bracket for one blind had a manufacturing irregularity. Upon my phone call, Brian Davis agreed to send a replacement which has not arrived as yet.

I ordered 4 windows worth of blinds, 3 of the 4 were perfect but one arrived with the height and width reversed. I spoke with a representative and they don't offer returns/refunds for size problems unless it was "designed". At no point in the ordering process was this made clear. I am not sure where the mistake was made but a refund minus shipping and handling would have been reasonable.
It was very easy following the instructions on how to take the measurements for the opening where the blinds were to be installed.
Great company, fits perfectly! Always use American Blinds for my window coverings.
