I had ordered 2 lamps on 23rd December and they still did not arrived on their destination. IT'S ALMOST 4 MONTHS that I wait! Could you tell me please how is the shipping process going and when should I receive what I had paid? I'm trying to call to german and UK number and nobody answers.
Please give me the products that I paid for or retourn the money back.

I ordered and paid in full (using direct debit - stupid me) for an armchair for 3,500 euros in October 2014. Six months later, I have no armchair. I have repeatedly emailed the company to follow up my armchair and on the 2-3 miraculous occasions I have heard back from them, there is always an excuse along the lines of "it is the supplier's fault". I am trying to get my money back now but it proving impossible. They are scammers. Do not give them any money. I am devastated that people like this exist in this world that so blatantly steal from other people. I can't believe this is a company run from Germany which I thought had a sound business legal framework that would not allow such unscrupulous operators to continue to do business. Ambient Direct needs to be shut down.
Wanted to buy lamps into my house and what do you think? No money, no lamps, no answers. If you can find something more awful, than this market - tell me.
I have never been so disgusted by an online company. This company is a total joke. They do not respond to emails. Everyone in their shipping department must be on drugs or drunk because from what I experienced and from what other online reviews have stated, 99.9% of everything that ships out from them is either 6 months late, broken upon arrival, missing merchandise or never shipped out at all. If this is the case, good luck getting them to reply to you. They simply don't care. Apparently there are enough new customers dumb enough to buy something from them that they continue to get new orders and are still in business. I ordered two expensive light fixtures back in November and the idiot that packaged my order put one in the box and then labeled it as containing two. Now, over 3 months after contacting them about the mistake, I am still banging my head against a wall trying to get them to send me the second one. They finally agreed to, only to respond a few days later and tell me that all of a sudden it isn't compatible for use in the US even though the one I received is working just fine. Then, when I asked them why all of a sudden this was the case they stopped responding. What has now sent me totally over the edge is that on Facebook there are photos of people that work at this joke of a company partying and baking cookies. Seriously? Perhaps that's why no one consistently answers emails. They have more important things to do, like bake cookies. I really, really wish that I had googled them and read their reviews before I ordered anything...
At least they are on Facebook and it's gratifying to know that I can continue to leave public comments online and on their Facebook wall in the hopes that perhaps they'll fix the issue and if not, at least over time perhaps I will succeed in warning others not to buy from them.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
Avoid by all means possible. It might seem that their prices are lower but at the end you will pay a very high price for ordering from them. This is what happened to me:
- ordered over £2k worth of stuff. But once I paid no communication from them at all. I emailed them at least 10 times, sent them messages on Facebook (which they proceeded to block me), tweeted at them (which they closed down their account).
- I cancelled 2 items they said they didn't have in stock but haven't yet received a refund
- got the partial order delivered today and of course instead of what I paid for, they have shipped the cheaper smaller versions!
Complete scam. If you have also used them and been scammed, please report them to Facebook so that their page would be removed. I had seen their ads and page on FB which made me feel safe enough to use.
IT's A SCAM
First time ever that I got scammed. The site looks very professional, they have all the niche-designers. I ordered a very expensive lamp. Got a professional e-mail my payment was received. Never heard from them again. It's now 2 months ago, lost my money, never got the product. All i got was a very high invoice from my cell phone, after trying to call them for half an hour.
Avoid! This company is a scammer.
Does anyone know how to report Internet fraud in German? This company must be report to the police. If you are in German you could report to cyber cup for fruad.
We must stop this company to avoid more victims in the future.
Follow up: despite so many mails asking them not to send the item said I am on holiday will not be able to collect the parcels, they still sending it to me. They ignore my mail and send me a mail with tracking no from DHL. I read from other reviews claim they received faulty goods or damage goods, I think the best way is not to accept the parcel at first place.
Product may be fine but the service is quite appalling. Pay a few pounds more and go anywhere but here. They really are dreadful. They don't answer phones, don't respond to emails. Wish i had never come across them. Dont make the same mistake as me.
Great stock but terrible delivery service. We ordered a sofa and when it was delivered they would only bring it to the front door, I'm pregnant and live on the first floor and they wouldn't help at all. The guy just drove off:-/ leaving my sofa in the building entrance.

My order is now 3 weeks overdue. No apology, no information, no delivery date. The so called 'service' hotline keeps you in a loop for over 35min and costs a fortune. I was promised information - again nothing.

This is the worst service I've ever received from a website and I'm shocked they make any money as I'm sure most people return or cancel their items. Don't be fooled by the great stock, I ordered some Hays glasses, my order didn't go through about three times (I should have known then!) I didn't hear anything until I chased the order, I had to chase 3-4 times, I tried to call (just hung on the line for 5 mins) and then finally got a response, which was fairly not sensical and not helpful at all...

I complained three more times in the same day and threatened to write a bad review and only then did they respond and agree to a refund. This is the only good bit of service but as of yet I can't confirm if the refund has happened.
I really recommend paying a bit more and not using this site. It's not worth the hassle.
We recently ordered a Arne Jacobsen floor lamp from this company.( a bit of a risk as we live in Australia) On arrival the lamp base was both dented and scratched which was strange as there was no damage to the packaging. We can only assume that the light was already damaged before it was sent. Ambient have not responded to our emails regarding our concerns and therfor we can only assume they were complicit in sending us a damaged product.
We also had to wait 4weeks for new stock to arrive even though their site indicated the product was in stock
Worst site. I made an order on September 2014! The order was suppose to be delivered within 2 weeks. It's now end of November and they still send the same idiotic email saying sorry but it will now take another 2 weeks. I have request a immediat reimbursement as they of course debited my credit card back in September for the full amount and they ignore that part of the email! It's obvious they don't care about their consumers! I am starting to think they are scammers!
Ordered 2 items which should have been available in 2 weeks. 4 plus weeks later still listening to customer services saying they will probably be shipped next week. Customer Services couldn't care. They simply read off a screen saying items not yet available. If I ever get the goods it will be the last time ambiente get my service.

Ce site est vraiment incroyable. Ils ne répondent jamais aux mails. Ils demandent même de vérifier des commandes en proposant des virements avec remise de 3% alors que j'ai déjà payé par carte bancaire... On a l'impression d'un site fantôme... je ne sais toujours pas quand je vais recevoir mes produits.
Considérant les avis des autres clients qui se sont exprimés sur ce site, je suis très inquiet sur le délai, mais aussi sur la conformité des produits commandés!

Ordered a Paola Navone sofa for our rental property which arrived late and poorly packaged.
When we had the property inspected for rental we were advised the sofa did not meet British Standards Fire Regulations and in the event of a fire the insurance would be invalidated and - God forbid if someone harmed we would be responsible.
They had assured us the sofa was to British standards and clearly lied.
Our advice - avoid them and if you buy online do it via a UK authorised dealer.
Ordered a very expensive replacement Italian glass lampshade that I was unable to find in the USA. The Ambiente invoice indicated the 36cm lamp shade was sent (which is the one I ordered); the 26cm lamp shade was shipped instead and doesn't fit my lamp. I have emailed several times and only received the automated response that they would be in touch in 24 to 48 hours. They have never responded to me about making this order right. I finally called my credit card company to file a dispute against this vendor. I was told I had to return the order (with a tracking number) and then they could file the dispute. The cost to return this glass lamp shade via USPS was over $60.00. Do not do business with this outfit - the hassle isn't worth it!
I bought 3 very expensive stools in June. The paint was chipping off them after a short period of time, even though we were very careful with them.
I have been trying for MONTHS to get replacements or a full refund. They do not respond to emails or faxes, and I have had to call them multiple times to be told different things by different people. I was promised a new set of stools by one, just to be told by another (4 weeks later) that they weren't coming.
Their Customer Service is appalling, and I would avoid ordering from them again. They do not stand by their products, their defence is that they sell a lot of them and no one else has complained!
Saw some nice Scandi furniture on the site that was a bit cheaper than UK prices. PayPal option didn't work when checking out which did make me wonder... Checked out using my card instead. Following morning I received an email asking me to "Send my credit card statement" to verify my identity. Upon getting this I took some advice from my bank. I then emailed back to cancel the order (given that I no longer had confidence in the transaction). They agreed to refund my card which they did within a couple of days. They were helpful & friendly. Undecided as to their legitimacy.

Answer: My order number is AB00006347 and I ordered my products 29.01.2015. 3 months later they finally respond to my countless e-mails and tell me one of the products is not available anymore and was wondering what to do about my order. I told them that I want to cancel my order and want a full refund, since I also paid my purchase in advance. A person called Mai Nguyen returned my e-mail on 14.05.2015 saying that they have cancelled my order and I will get a refund within 14 days. I posted a review on this site about Ambiente direct and then Christine D. Answered me that her colleague Mai is taking care of my case and I get my refund asap. Today is 17.07.2015 and still no refund. This is just the worst company ever! I did expect a German company to be trustworthy but no. Tell everyone not to have anything to do with these people!
Answer: The way I finally was able to get my issue was resolved was through messaging them on their Facebook page. I had ordered two light fixtures and was short shipped only one. After bringing up the mishap to them and getting no response, then filing a charge-back which was reversed because of the tracking number for the single light fixture that I was shipped I started reaching out to them on Facebook and after pestering them for a couple of months via Facebook they finally refunded me my money. Their Facebook admin was actually quite responsive. I would never order anything from this company again. It was a nightmare to deal with them. Good luck!
