When you order something online and its says thanks for placing your order does that mean it was purchased?
Our last 3 orders, within 2 months, with Amazon have been total disasters. We pay for prime shipping and our order was a month late even though they show it in stock.
The other 2 were Warehouse Deals. The first time I ordered a Polywood teal patio table. I received an ugly dark green rocking chair. Many emails and time wasted to resolve this to our satisfaction. Initially they offered free shipping... what? Already pay for that.
The 3rd order was a dark brown, nautical Polywood set for our condo in FL.(we do not live in FL) This was handled through freight shipping where they dump it in the parking lot so I had to pay a person to take it up to our condo and assemble it. BUT, they shipped a light colored, BAR HEIGHT set. Nothing like what I ordered! Useless to us. They will NOT replace it and tell me Warehouse Deals is a third party seller, trying to divert the blame. We can not disassemble it or waste more money and time paying another person to wait for a return pick up. STUCK AGAIN. Will not buy from them EVER AGAIN! Beware when you buy a so called WAREHOUSE DEAL, that you can waste your time, money, and in the end receive the poorest customer service on the face of this planet. Call centers in India. All that they do is apologize. Never a solution to the problem.
I really don't want to go out into lines this season. I've been ordering online with Amazon Prime. The tools have all been great and the other items no problems. Have not had to return anything. Items come very fast
I've been shopping at Amazon since 1994, and always come back. Their customer service, and now their marketplace (where you can purchase new or used items from different suppliers) have no equal. Their shipping is quite expensive, you can't group different orders into the same package, but all in all, it is totally recommendable.
I probably hold the record for most purchases on Amazon. They almost always have what I am looking for at a good price. I no longer have to run from store to store dealing with traffic, crowds and uncaring store personnel. I love having my purchase delivered to my doorstep within a few days. I have had to return a few things over the years and have always received a quick refund. Amazon always gives me an opportunity to review my purchase. It is obvious Amazon cares about customer satisfaction and their vendors value their partnership with Amazon.
I am very pleased with my shopping experience at Amazon, if I ever have an issue with a product they take care of it immediently, and they always follow up to make sure everything was resolved to my satisfaction! I give them a five star rating for sure! Great company!

Other sellers will zero postage costs automatically- Amazon DON'T - so watch out for this unwelcome increase, as it is very easy to overlook. Not only that, the delivery isn't any faster than if you selected the free option!
They have everything you need for anything. Only reason for 4 stars is because they have way too many different things to sign up for... audible, prime, Amazon books, etc and if you do a trial and forget to cancel they never notify you. They just take your money. They are good with refunding if you call to cancel a service.

So I placed an order from Amazon, it was bedding for my granddaughter, when I received the package inside the box was the receipt from Walmart, this private seller ordered the bedding from Walmart and then Walmart sent it directly to me. The private seller charged me twice the amount along with a 12.95 shipping. When I contacted Amazon they say there is really nothing they can do to stop private sellers from over charging. To me it sounds as though anyone can use their site for theft by deception. I always thought Amazon was a legit site, but after this no more.
I can order an item I have been looking for as they have what I need 99% of the time!
Amazon is a n ecommerse site that no one needs to review and mention. Its among the best online marketplace for all range of products from books to cell phones. They provide a very good service and value for money if you see the overall services offered by them.
Incredibly fast one or two day shipping if you are a prime member.
Real hassle free returns as well unlike other merchants. And almost everything you need. Walmart usually beats them on pricing, that is if you can wait for a decade. Now Amazon delivers wine and groceries as well. If this goes on - we may be seeing Walmart in the gutter.
I love shopping with Amazon. All of my orders have been timely and all my items have been as expected. I became a prime member and love all the perks that come with it. Free music, movies, videos, and FREE shipping! I have yet to have an issue with any of my orders.

I ordered a highchair as a gift and they only sent the tray and seat cover, but never notified me that the high chair itself was no longer in stock. Then they thought it was ok to refund me only half of the total cost of the high chair. They were not willing to notify me when another one was in stock or provide me with the same price when it becomes available again.
Dont buy from diapers.com they are not reliable. They dont ship the orders on time, neither tell you when the products are out of stock. Takes forever to give your money back

I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
