The Amazon Echo or Dot is one of the most useful items that has been produced by Amazon in recent years. So useful and full of fun,, just imagine being able to hold a conversation on any subject and also able to control many appliances just by asking Alexa to put on or off the one you need use. I would think that there are many older people that are on their own and perhaps lonely to be able to get some satisfaction of being able get answers to many things of interest.
I like shopping at amazon.com because some products they have are priced lower than the in- store prices.
I love Amazon, I don't find it to have the best deals but it's so easy. I have Prime so free delivery which tends to arrive way faster than it's supposed to.
This is my all time favorite online store. I have yet to return any item. I love the easy format, they have just about any item that you are looking form. They have a hassle free check out and if you ever have a question or any problem whatsoever, they will respond quickly and make it worth your while. I ordered 2 of the same thing one time by accident, and they fixed it within minutes. I can't say enough good things about it!
Amazon is the number one site to shop anything from everywhere. But now discounts are not up to the mark.
Their refund policy is the only advantage of using Amazon.
Amazon puts up "deals of the day" and "lightning deals". Lightning Deals are limited time and quantity noted. Not so with deals of the day. Today I saw a Butterball Electric Turkey Fryer, a deal of the day at $87.19. I placed it in my cart, and went to speak with my partner before confirming the order. Upon return, it was gone - and marked as sold out. I contacted Amazon customer service, and ended up with an agent ("Riti") who, in rather poor English, instructed me that Amazon deals are only good for as long as Amazon says so, and once it says its over (even a deal of the day with hours to go), it is over, done - my only option being a link to buy it for $50 more. REALLY? I think my option includes shopping elsewhere. Who the hell do they think they are? I think I, like many, get lulled by their seeming convenience, but other companies list the same items for pretty much the same prices or sometimes less. Message to Mr. Bezos: We have choices. Oh, and fukc you, you can take your turkey fryer and stick it where the sun don't shine.
I don't even know where to start with this review. I think anyone who's paying attention would see there are cheaper and easier places to shop, but clearly people simply shop for convenience these days. Not to mention they're building a complete Monopoly and yet paying zero federal taxes. In my opinion Amazon is everything that's wrong with our culture. We don't typically shop there anyway but were recently gifted an item from a prime member. This experience has been a catastrophe from start to finish:
- First, the price jumped $9 from the time I found the item to the time they were ordered, which was about 24 hours.
- item arrived and sizing was completely off.
- This was a gift, yet I was told exchanges are not allowed unless the item is defective and you're exchanging for the EXACT same size, color, etc. So they would send a return label then send a gift card once the item was received.
- item shipped back quickly and the card was sent to my email... for the cheaper price of the item, NOT the price that was paid for it.
- I emailed customer service, who said "well, send us the original order number and we'll look into it." (Obviously I'd provided the original number when I requested the return. But, fine, I'll play their games. At this point I've already decided I won't be doing business with them ever again. I'm just trying to get through it to get my son his birthday gift!)
- I did a customer service chat, and was told sure they'd send the remaining balance, although they had actually charged us (the gift recipient) for return shipping and subtracted it from the value of the gift! Unbelievable.
- We just realized they sent the shipping fee to the original sender, so my son is still short $9 on the value of his gift. The prime member who sent the gift suggested we just send her the gift card number and she'll reorder the correct size. This is far too many hoops to jump through to send or receive a simple gift. We will not be doing business with them again.
Ordered clothing on November 5- never notified order was canceled. Called customer service- they said out of stock- but they were still selling it on Amazon website! Rep said it was being sold by another 3rd party seller because "maybe the other company was Chinese" What kind of company is this?
A digrace.
I order almost everything with the exception of food and I find the prices competitive with prompt delivery service.
No mater what you are looking for Amazon will have all the product you want and their customer service are very helpful! Definite will recommend to people!
DO NOT EVER TRY TO SELL ON AMAZON! Amazon is a credit card fraud company.
11/10/17
I made what I thought to be an individual free simple account, I added no item and had no activity on it and immediately received a 60£ charge from my credit card, no authorization, no invoice, no explanation. No window in the interface as to why. But to receive the refund, I am being told I need to be "verified" as seller. Who the hell would ever want to sell there after that? Amazon, if you haven't decided I am worthy to be your seller, you cannot charge me in advance either! The experience for a month to get the refund for that and close the account is the most horrific experience with "customer service" in my life! Seller Support is a scam department lying to you about 'escalating the issue" and the Account Specialist calling you back till kingdom come. I was told two times, in writing, the refund was sent back to my bank account and actually waited for it to pay my bills. When you call Amazon Seller Support, everything they say is a deliberate, scamming, Mafia type lie. They are all in India, barely speak English, and all called John and Mary. Every single time, another person with another name answers, has no clue about your case and tells you a different, contradictory story/solution. They keep telling you they 'escalate" the issue to a phantomatic department/account specialist that never answers and you go in a loop forever. Thieves and scammers! DO NOT EVER ADD YOUR CREDIT CARD IN THEIR SYSTEM. You can't even delete it afterwards. The worst Customer Support on the planet, shear incompetence and thievery.
Tip for consumers: DO NOT ADD bank information of any kind on their website!

I purchase hundreds of items from Amazon every year and have NEVER been disappointed. Great prices, great service, and I love the wish list option where your family and friends can post what they would love to have and you can click and buy the items for them for gifts any time! It makes my Christmas shopping so easy.
I am homebound due to Multiple Sclerosis, so I do most of my shopping on line. Though Amazon doesn't always have the best pricing, they are reliable and if I need something fast, I can rely on Amazon for almost anything I need.
No wonder why amazon got "Customer Choice Award" their customer support always topnotch and i am buying products here since my childhood.
I ordered a motherboard 15 October while it was still in stock. It's 10 November now and it still hasn't shipped. The item was in stock when I ordered it and 3 weeks after I ordered it, but it still wasn't in stock. I was told countless times that my order would ship and get to me within the 30 October time frame. When the delivery date passed, I was still told that it would be expedited to reach to me as soon as possible. When the motherboard finally sold out, I was told that it would be restocked the next business day and that the shipment would be expedited to reach to me quickly. Lie after life, 9 November rolled around and I was given a gift card and told to reorder so my order would ship to me quickly 10 November, I cancelled the order and was told that the shipment would be standard and that it could not be change. Well played Amazon, nice scam you've got going on. Well played, I will never use amazon again. Thanks for the great customer support. I hope you treat all your customers like this
If you have a kid away at college, youll love Amazon! My daughter orders her college textbooks via Amazon, sells her textbooks, as well. We share a Prime account. It simplifies sending her anything, to her out of state college. Recently, I sent her groceries, and a Nutribullet! I also use the Amazon books, with my Prime membership. So convenient! My daughter, a writer, even wrote an article of her love of Amazon.
I order from Amazon weekly there's never a problem with delivery they have such a variety of products that I can find what I need they're awesome number one place I check before any others
Love these guys. Great prices. Fast shipping. Item always arrives. Free returns.
I've been buying from Amazon.com for years without a single problem. Highly recommended.
Have been a customer for many years and always got what I ordered, on time, and as described. Recently, I decided to write reviews. They were all good, until I wrote this for an order of Dove's Powder roll deodorant: "My favorite deodorant. Hard to find in stores. Pricier at Amazon but always in stock". And then I gave it 5 stars. And then some pencil head at Amazon, said they couldn't publish it because it violated their rules - of course their problem is that I said the product was "pricier". So, no more reviews.
Answer: I concur with all of the above answers except about the kindle. I have contacted Amazon via phone and they were very helpful.
Answer: Bought a hair dryer for my daughter in Melbourne. Arrived no probs.
Answer: Try Walmart! They deliver food too, and they accept EBT as well. I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.
Answer: I have never shipped or had things shipped to or from Australia. Sorry
Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
Answer: Yes I do on the items I purchase and also through google and sitejabber
Answer: It takes longer if you don't pay monthly for Amazon prime.
Answer: The shipping cost is in the listing if that's what you're asking. If you click on new/used, it will be below the cost. If you have Prime, most things are free shipping.
Answer: You answer on the actual question I believe.
Answer: The above answers are good - I agree that a personal contact on the phone is best. - Go to 'Your Account', then click 'Let Us Help You' -then click Help - Then 'need more help',- then click 'Contact Us' - fill out the 3 steps and choose 'more no norder questions, - then clock on phone - from there it will direct you (how long the wait etc and they call you back)
