How is it so easy to tell which roof is insured by allstate oh 98 shingle repairs. Meanwhile all my neighbors have new roofs because it's not repairable with only 20 damaged shingles.

Not in Good hands

One of there insured hit us head on becuse he did not scrap the frost off his windshield this truck is only 6 months old and they do not want to pay out. Have 15 hrs in in fighting them to take 100% of the blame. Still can't get them to pay what we payed for the truck. Horrible Bullies stay far away from this company should be illegal for them to do business.

Allstate is a black hole
February 23, 2021

Allstate is the worst homeowners insurer. Hail damaged 25% of the homes in our neighborhood, and only Allstate won't fix it. A roofer, who replaced three others on my street, documented hail damage at 22K. Allstate says 7K. Rude adjuster— bad service. Allstate is a black hole. I can't get them to respond. Mobile App says the case is closed. I have written the adjuster. Followed up with customer service and even called my agent. Aside from the agent, no one acts as if I even exist. When they presented me with the ridiculous estimate, I told them I did no accept it. Had an independent roofer send photos and an estimate. I told them I would not cash the check and not send it. Hell on Earth :)

All state is hands down the worst of the worst when it comes to any type of car insurance in my experience. As of yesterday and today (02/21/2021) i have been on call with them for 7 hours. 6 hours being on hold... and not to mention being hung up on 3 times after holding for an hour. The agents or reps are rude, ignorant, and are clearly untrustworthy. To whom it may concern. Do yourselves a big favor and do not get in touch with All State for anything unless you wish to be treated like garbage. After saying all this i must say nothing is perfect, but for such a large insurance company this is absolutely unacceptable. I've said my piece and i hope you enjoys the rest of your day.

I have had All State for years, both as my home and auto policy. Had a pretty bad car accident around November. The first week, the liable party's insurance 'Geico' took care of everything, from my injury settlement to getting someone to estimate the damages. Upon inspection, they decided it was total damage however the other policy holder had a limit of $15,000. They agreed to pay the $15,000 and All State would take care of the remaining ~2-3k. Not only was it incredibly difficult to reach my adjuster, it seemed they had a different answer each and every time I would call. First they told me that they would make an uninsured motorist claim to get the remaining $2500 for me and that someone would come to tow the car away. A few weeks passed, and several phone calls later... they eventually let me know that they have to take another look at the vehicle even though the liable party's insurance already agreed to pay 90% of the value. Eventually, All State sent me something that I had to sign from the repair shop, stating if I agreed for repairs to be done and that it would be roughly 5-6k to fix. I wasn't going to sign anything and it seemed I was stuck in limbo. I called the repair shop and talked to a gentleman who let me know he knew the car was totaled the second it came in, and sent it back. How come I didn't hear anything till just now? Now, a few days ago I was contacted by another adjuster who attached a bogus value report with no merit. Somethings not adding up and I have a sick pit in my stomach. Why the hell can't I have a straight answer? Enough is enough! It's absolutely ridiculous, for a few dollars they are spinning me around in circles. What happened to being in good hands? After this experience, I'm definitely taking my business elsewhere. Geico definitely took care of me. Geico (the other party's insurance) took care of me in less than a week, All State (my insurance) has had me running around for almost three months. And by the looks of all these poor reviews, it seems I'm not the only one. Take your business elsewhere!

I was with Allstate for about 5.5 months. Mistakes in my name and address from very beginning. When i dropped them for another company I received an alleged bill for coverage that was never mentioned when I told them i was leaving. It was a final due letter with allegedly 2 prior ones having been sent but never received. I promptly paid bill via credit card on their website only to received a collection letter 3 weeks later. My payment never was recorded. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Notice of Non-Renewal
January 26, 2021

Bad business Allstate. After 20 years or so my son received a Notice of non-renewal due to excessive towing - 2019 one tow / 2020 5 tows in May/June (car problems) and 1 tow November. No where in the policy is there a limitation on tows - my agent even advised. The only way to get reinstated was to sign a letter foregoing the tow provision. Thinking about calling an attorney - sounds like maybe a class action!

Allstate has proven to be an unfair company. They always deal me a bad hand in terms of insurance rates": lying and horrendously raising their rate EVERY 6 months. You are NOT in good hands! When I filed a claim for my home policy, they denied the rectification of my hail damaged roof and gutter. The new insurance company denied insuring my roof because of hail damage. They asked me to file a claim to Allstate to fix the roof which Allstate rejected. I have had four contractors prove that the roof does indeed suffer from hail damage. The adjuster is annoyingly stubborn and will not budge despite the FOUR contractors' opinions! The adjuster says its just wear and tear. I have photos and can blatantly see the hail damage. The adjuster wants me to spend $1500 to get an independent appraisal to go through the settlement which is outrageous. What do I need insurance for if they ignore the fact that there is hail damage? The adjuster only gave me $850 which is less than my deductible for more than $11,000 worth of damage. It has been over 2 MONTHS of constant phone calls and arguing over my rightful claim. The key point of this all is that Allstate is not a fair company. I will never go back to them, and I will fight with them for my claim!

They take forever

Currently don't have housing due to a accident. The person Shaquille who they assigned has not called me or my landlord after we left voicemail. I keep trying to get someone else assigned and they won't even talk to me. Worst insurance i ever had.

AFLAC is better
December 7, 2020

I get this supplemental insurance through my work. I got cancer in 2017 and luckily was with AFLAC. They paid out after five days and I received my money.
This year we have allstate. I got online and tried to create an account but it would not let me. I called in for assistance. They said it was because they entered the wrong zip code. So, I put in the one they gave me. Still does not work. Asked for it to be fixed same day since it was their mistake and I have already been on hold for 30 minutes.
I truly believe they do this on purpose so they do not have to pay out. They are counting on people giving up trying to get their money so they do not have to pay.
I will be recommending we change carriers. I will be cancelling this policy and going back to AFLAC.

Bunch of jerks

Ok I'd like to start off with the fact that I'm a normal nice human being. Someone backed into my car who has Allstate insurance. My first thought was "oh I'm in good hands". But I could not have been more wrong. First of all it took 3 days to get ahold of someone to speak about my accident, after being on hold for hours at a time day after day. I then was told that I was going to have to pay for a rental car out of my own pocket. So if I'm getting this right... I'm the one one who is hit by someone, and then I have to pay to get a rental car. Sure they're going to reimburse me, but what about the people who aren't able to pay for a car out of pocket. What about them Allstate? This new policy is gonna screw thousands of people and all just to save a couple dollars. #2020

Had windstorm damage to roof which caused leaks from ceiling.
Allstate sent a person to take pictures, these were sent to Allstate adjuster in Texas.
Allstate set total caim amount to $3500.
Quote for Roof repairs$22,000 tree removal $3500 and plaster repair $8700.
Total for repairs $34,200.
My next step was a public adjuster.
Allstate appraisal was $16,000
My appraiser was $44,000
Read your policy!
Allstate always told me that I had their best policy
The deliux home owners policy which had replacement value.
What Allstate neglects to inform home owners is the code upgrade clause.
If you do not have this on your policy get it or drop
Allstate. IT WILL COST YOU IN THE END.
THIS COST ME AROUND $13,000
State Farm, Amica and USAA code upgrade is part of their standard policy.

My carpet

Somy door damage and was leaking water and carpet got black mold Allstate woulddot replace it im going to have to fight them over this they wanted to put the carpet with black mold back in after cleaned but I threw it away and was not told to keep it and they also said it wasn't covered then why they wanting to put the old carpet cleaned back in if that's the case

A policy should never be cancelled. If a condition is bad before hand the preimums should reflect that. Rule number one. The customer is right rule number two, if the customer is grumpy, he is still right. Rule number three, customers put food on your table. Rule number four. See rules one through three. Im not in good hands with allstate. They dont need my business.

Horrible Experience

Please do not choose allstate! I was with them for years and they dropped me with NO warning. No calls no letters no nothing. Claimed too many accidents when most all were not my fault (deer, weather conditions). I was told by multiple reps that theres nothing they can do. Extremely cold and rude people. They do not care about their clients! Meanwhile my family suffers. I have home insurance with them as well which I will be cancelling. Horrible customer service. I've worked in customer service for 15 years, I know when I see bad service. If you care about your family, never choose allstate.

Our family has been with Allstate for decades, with multiple properties insured through them. However, they lost all of our business when we filed one single claim -- for water damage inside a wall -- and they found a way to weasel out of giving us any help toward repairs. I knew I was in trouble when we had the contractor in to look at the problem and he said, "This will definitely be covered by homeowners insurance -- unless you have Allstate, they will fight to avoid paying you anything." He was right. The agent even implied that we were negligent homeowners for not discovering the problem -- which was hidden behind a wall -- sooner. Not only that, but an Allstate rep discussed our policy at length, revealing many details of our contract, with someone WITHOUT KNOWING WHO IT WAS OR HOW THEY WERE RELATED TO US. Suffice it to say, your personal information is NOT safe with Allstate.

Pathetic Company

Allstate is the biggest joke in insurance! DO NOT use them. They keep sending me junk mail and Im about to send them an envelope full of glitter bombs because they are that pitiful. I don't know who runs this company but they should be fired. I continue to get FAKE quotes then when I have called it's over $1000 more and they claim they bought my information which should be illegal and based the quote off of that. Then they email me with another fake quote. They want way too much and use way too many excuses as to why it's so high and apparently according to the other reviews they don't cover jack. There are companies out there who will actually appreciate their customers. You're NOT in good hands with Allstate. They need to go bankrupt.

This is by far the worst insurance company to ever do business with. I have never been late with a payment, no accidents or tickets in 12 years. I was ONE day late posting my payment and they cancelled my policy. They are thieves no other name describes this company. I have since gone with nationwide they have given me more coverage and discounts that Allstate never did. If I would have known they were this low my business would have never gone there. I hope my review will help others. My advice run from this company!

Went to Allstate office in Decatur and set up home/auto policies and auto debit from checking account. Had this account for a few years and they were constantly sending changes to policy etc, which I never asked for. Didn't pay much attention until I had a debit from my checking for 260ish$.

I called Decatur office and they had no idea who I was and said they don't manage my account some office I had never heard of in Fort worth does. Woman was rude and acted as if I was stupid for not knowing this, despite the fact I had set up eveything at that office.

Cancelled my policy with other office - well before the bill was due and they stopped the auto debit from my checking. Then they sent me a bill. I thought it was autogenerated, so I didn't pay it. They sent it to collections. Absolute thieves. All of them.

My wife and I were rear ended by an Allstate insured driver. We were at a stop light and he was looking down (probably phone) and he hit us. We have filed a claim with Allstate, taken all the pictures they have asked for but now Allstate can't get ahold of their customer so they can verify he was at fault. I gave Allstate the police report number but that report won't be ready for another 10 business days. We have had no help with a rental at this point nor has the claim process moved any further along so we are stuck with paying for a rental and have a busted car. The next step is contact an attorney and let him figures this whole thing out.
