I had allstate homeowners insurance about two years, where i live had heavy snow which i was told was unusual and some strong wind, ended up with a leaking roof, turn in a claim, allstate sent a inspector out to look at my roof, i had a roofer looking at my roof with him, from what i understood from both of them i needed a new roof, i had another roofer look at my roof, he also said i needed a new roof, allstate allow me three hundred seventy dollars and seventy six cents. There is no way i could recommend them, i am looking for another company.
I have been with All State for the past 14 years for both a detach house and two cars.
Last year, things was not good with me financially because of the pandemic I called them to cancel my house insurance and take off one car until September. Now, I called to get a quote for the house insurance once again. They told me it will cost $467 a month with 2 months down. I told them I was paying $135.00 previously. The customer service said when discounts applied to the quote that is the amount. Now, how it is in one year with 1 claim on file, 14 years as a customer and still have a car with them. How is it possible for monthly payments to go from $135.00 to $467.00. This is ridiculous. What is the use of staying with the same company and when you have an issue and told them them you would opt out and return in 1 year. Don't they check-in past history of their clients. I was very disappointed with the quote given.
Refuse to pay for auto stolen and women arrested ran ftom. Police charged a woman and arrested her with grand theft when she crashed and All-State bailed on me Widows beware they scam you take your money and don't pay pay u need them and ruined credit All-State is a fraud
States that we had glass coverage ( we asked) then said that we had a 500 deductible. So what good is that? Ok maybe they did not understand when we set it up and yes we have full coverage and said that we wanted glass coverage. Paid out of pocket fine whatever but when we called to get it again, they said they do not have full coverage glass coverage!? Went to another insurance company paid less and have full coverage and glass no deductible
I got home Insurence with Allstate, then I canceled on the same day after they changed me, few day later they refunded me, and that was that, but two months later I get a letter from a collection agent with the same amount threat they refunded me for, and I keep calling all states to stop the collection, but they refuse to so and they say that they didn't charged me but they refunded me and they want that money back, I sent them my bank statement shows that the actually charged first then refunded me, so all zeroed out, but all their costume services look at the account and the charge but they don't want to dispute and stop the collection and they say I have to pay, seriously what is that I need to pay for I don't have policy with you, and you don't provide me with any services, why do I have to pay you. This company is a big scammer once they get your information they never leave you alone. It's been a month and I keep calling hone that one day a good costumer services with some knowledge understand and solve my problem.
I bought car insurance the agent told me that the payment will be $220 a month I agree paid 2 months in advance, after 2 months the payment doubled $513 for no reason I'm very good driver with clean license, I called the agent to cancel the policy, switched to progressive for half price and better company, now it's in my credit report, I'm disputing it.
I was found not at fault by the police after someone pulled out in front of me trying to cut across traffic. Allstate told me they were assigning blame, as I have gigantism and "the pain from a car accident shouldn't have been any worse than the pain I'm (allegedly) already in. " Yes, they told me I was at fault because I have a genetic disability. My "adjuster" also told me nearly 2 years after they had paid me off for my car, that they would be revisiting the amount they paid out, that Allstate felt the payout amount was too much, considering the depreciation of the vehicle during that time. They also found me "responsible" because I didn't price check 911, or the ambulance, and accused me of doctor shopping by going to the ONLY ER in the county, accused me of running up my bills by going to an expensive luxury doctor - who was my longterm regular doctor and worked at a Medicare clinic. Yes, the local Medicare clinic is apparently a high-priced luxury facility one goes to pad their bill according to Allstate.
Allstate is utterly terrible, they will say anything, lie, bully, do whatever they can to save money. This company is beyond disgusting, and I wish cancer and aids on everyone who works there. Yeah, you know you're in "Good Hands" when multiple reviewers are wishing cancer on people. Allstate is an utterly disgusting and immoral company. I wish the worst for anyone involved.
I recently closed on a home and had considered both All State and USAA for my homeowners insurance. I decided to go with USAA. I never told AllState that I chose them. I did not sign anything nor fill out any paperwork with USAA. I also told my loan officer that my home owners insurance would be through USAA, and USAA is what shows up on my closing documents/escrow. I also told AllState that I was not going to use them. And, I did not receive any communication from All State until today. They sent me cancellation notice saying that I owe them $1500 for non payment. Non payment of what? I never received a bill, and I do not have a policy. So what are they talking about? They are clearly con artists.
Allstate is putting me up for collection because I won't pay their ransom after having left their coverage because it sucks and costs more than any other insurance. Instead of thanking me for my years of patronage, they are choosing to try and hurt me and kick me in the head as I leave. Well, I want to ask all my friends and family right now to switch away from Allstate if you are using them and use any other insurance other than Allstate. Linda Lang in Washingtonville is trying to hurt me and I have made it my new life-long task to hurt Allstate's business wherever I can. In this pandemic, it is cruel and unreasonable for Allstate to attack me and my family. I paid my bills faithfully and now have to wait seven years for this to get them removed from my credit file. There's no way I will ever pay them. I will piss on their graves before they get another dime from me. Every month that they hurt me, I will be taking business away from them Linda Lang: Allstate Insurance - you will lose 100X the amount of the bill you are trying to ransom from me - I promise you that you will lose this fight. I am networked throughout this area for the past 40 years and I will work every single day to take business away from you and cost you far more than this unfair and corrupt bill that you are trying to get me to pay. In the next seven years, you will lose hundreds of thousands of dollars in profits due to the work I am doing and will continue to do to fight back against your corrupt and unfair practices. Corrupt insurance companies must stop trying to hurt people who do the right thing! It's time to move your insurance business to a company that actually cares about people. I'm with Nationwide and Progressive now and am happy with the service and cost. Switch now and save money.
In May 2019, I'm appalled that I was ran into by a teenager whose afterwards, his Truck was drivable and my paid off Toyota Limited Avalon was totaled. A police wrote a report detailing I ran into the teenager and a couple of demeaning social observations against me to support that I had ran into the teenager. Mind you I was in the turn lane and the teenager was in outer lane. My conversation with Allstate representatives was I was at fault and I incurred a $100+ Monthly increase to my policy. They said if I wanted my policy to go back to previous cost, I HAD TO GET THE POLICE REPORT changed. So in essence a dirty cop can now determine your insurance rates by writing an inaccurate, unethical report against you. Lucky for me I located a film of my wreck from the liquor store in which this teenager had almost sent me flying into. This video was provided to Allstate as well as the Police. The Police at 3 levels finally agreed to amend the report but yet stated a certain statue directed I should have turned at a specific corner as opposed to 10 ft away at an entrance to store plaza, which happen to be my intended turn. Concluding I was at partial fault. How about they refused to admit they made a biased decision against me and believed the teenager over me. The statue only states "make the turn, when practicable". The video clearly showed that the teenager was not turning at any corner at all as he was past any corner or entrances so his errant turn into me was just dangerous and with fault. I obtained an Attorney and because of Covid we are just now getting redress for this incident. The teenager has changed his story and admitted to faulty equipment (no rear view) mirror and that he never saw me. Freaking Allstate was happy to suddenly refund $250 of my $500 deductible which means what people? They allow Inept or dirty cops to do their paying customers in so they can reap the $1200. 00 a year increase to my policy and which guarantees it will be that way for 3 years since wreck is on record for 3 years. I'm pissed and when this case is settled, I will be announcing to the world. You are NOT in Good Hands With Allstate, cos they will not even consider your story if a Police writes something different.
They tell you one thing to get you to sign a low ball offer and then pay you a different amount. They say that they told you but no they didn't. Liars!
Sold our home in Mi. And told allstate repeatedly do not renew home or car insurance and they acknowledge it and gave me the phone number of an agent in Ky. Never in the office and when I did reach her her phone dropped me after about a minute-tried again same result and she never initiated a call. To top it off they DID renew home and auto insurance to the tune of $2,500 out of my checking against my direct orders-they have had it for 7 days now and ignored my calls(always she will call you back). So today I left a message that I am writing reviews on Sitejabber and also calling state of Mi. Tomorrow to the DIFS which is the state insurance agency. What if my checking would have been lower and checks could have bounced courtesy of their false charges. My personal mailbox was always filled with nonsense to further irritate me. One year of the bozo insurance agency. Never again!
This is the worst insurance company I've ever dealt with. My car was hit April 18. They didn't respond to the auto repair center to BEGIN repairs until May 19. And then didn't send me the reimbursement check for my rental until June 21. That is entirely too long to take for any of those steps, and there was no communication, no explanation as to why it was taking so long. I would call, leave messages, and get nothing back. Because they were so tardy, I had to keep extending my rental contract out week after week until the bill totaled nearly $4000 (which I had to pay out of pocket because their company doesn't contract with rental agencies, instead the reimburse you which is foolish because not everyone has the necessary funds for costs like that up front) but then learned they were only going to pay a little over $1800, less than half of the reimbursement! I tried to fight them but they kept saying no, they were not responsible. Their client hit me and they as an insurance company made a promise to cover the damages caused by their client. That's what an insurance company is supposed to do. I never would have had to spend that much if they hadn't dragged their feet. It's almost negligence at this point. To top it off, they sent the letter with the reimbursement check, but not the check itself. I had to call their corporate office to get it direct deposited to me.

And it wasn't even the fault of only one individual. The main agent I worked with took an extended amount of time off and forwarded all his calls to a different agent, who was also gone and forwarded all her calls to a different agent, whose voicemail said he was not taking anymore calls. And the manager I spoke with was no help in resolving this. And then the person who forgot to put the check in the envelope. It's the whole company. The only reason I give them 2 stars instead of 0 is because my car actually got fixed. But this was a headache I would not wish on anyone.
I was with State Farm for 27 Years and Allstate gave me a better rate for my homeowners so I switched everything. It has been nothing but a horrible experience. My son's truck was stolen and now almost a year later he has no vehicle because the money we got was a joke compared to the "actual" value of his truck. The money they gave us was no where near the market value of his truck. And the App where you pay your payment is horrific and has now caused them to cancel me. I received zero notification other than hidden in the app. No phone call from my local agent. No email. No letter. Nothing. Absolutely nothing stating my insurance is set to cancel... Here's the best of it. I earned a drive wise credit the best I can ascertain for safe driving that they subtracted from my payment due in the App. I paid the balance showing. They said I did not pay the full balance so therefore I was cancelled and the full amount for that month and next month was due? Again. No notification. Between the time I got this notification I added yet another car and was on the phone with them, they sent me the "new" insurance cards, then cancelled me literally 3 days later. Here's the best of it. Now they can rewrite me at a much higher rate... There's the catch. Buyer be very aware here. Just got really burned. Now paying equivalent of a house payment for cars because we dare to have nice cars. Not for long.
While continuing to pay to full coverage, a deer related accident to my vehicle has left me without transportation for TWO FULL MONTHS. I reported the claim the same day. Customer Service has been absolute chaos at Allstate. I have been provided numbers to adjusters and to various representatives with each call including a thirty minute hold time and being led to staff who no longer exist (at least at Allstate). Phone calls have been dropped, representatives have neglected to return and answer calls. TWO MONTHS is TOO LONG to be without something so terribly fundamental to my life especially without a customer service team that is helpful and concerned with my wellbeing.
Suffice to say, I DO NOT feel I am in good hands with Allstate.
I'd give 0 as the rating if that were possible. My fence and home were hit by a vehicle. The driver had Allstate. After 4 months, Allstate offers to pay half of the estimate to fix our property. Stating they don't have to pay certain contractor's fees and such, and only wanting to pay for sections of the fence that were destroyed. Claims agent was unreachable by phone and had several excuses as to why he couldn't respond in a timely manner to my emails. It is 0% my fault, that their insured destroyed my property to the time of $42,000.00. The company also has never responded to 2 letters from an attorney. I will never recommend Allstate to anyone and I am actively telling anyone who has Allstate to switch immediately.
DO NOT GET ALLSTATE!
My Dad was an Allstate customer for 70 years. I was an Allstate customer for 10 years, until today. I'm canceling my home and auto insurance and never recommending Allstate to anyone after this experience with a claim. Repairs were under 5000 and Allstate has drug their feet with supplements and payouts for my claim. I've called Allstate over 20 times for 30 days for a repair that could've taken 1 week. Now my rental policy max is up and they refuse to extend it. Oh but they offered a "possible reimbursement" after I foot the bill and send the invoice. HA!
Switching to State Farm.
A situation worthy of a lawsuit, I signed and the rep in CCC type in the wrong date for my auto policy. It was supposed to start in April but this fool got it starting in May. I guess the 4 and 5 are next to each other on the keyboard. They took my money real quick. They could fix this with the stroke of a key or a click of a mouse. Long hold times and they just bounce you around...
I had them for one month to get a new car off the lot, in that same month we called the General to get a quote and it was for literally 500$ less each month, you dont save 700$ on average by switching to Allstate, you will spend an extra 700$ each month.
They are the same company that invented E-surance just so they could offer cheaper rates lol, they are too expensive and dont trust them.
The customer service representative Ms. Angelica Yanez, was rude, aggressive, argumentative and went out of her way and her job description to intentionally try to add more tension and complications to the initial problem I called about.
She tried lecturing me on her training class experience at Allstate. When I would not give a reaction she got frustrated and began insisting I give her a reason why I felt my car should have aftermarket parts.
Regardless of the fact I called bcuz I stated I didn't want aftermarket parts on car due to depreciation concerns.
She went on discrediting my reason and began over talking me. When I asked to speak to her supervisor, she said "No! You can't speak to my supervisor and hung up on me.
It should be known that you are not in good hands with Allstate. Actually some of the worst customer care in the industry.
The adjuster, Eric H. Dale sent me an email stating, "Mr. X, I have investigated your claim and Allstate. We use aftermarket parts and will be putting aftermarket parts on your car"?
No offers for other alternatives, no customer edicatesy, just rude and demanding. Telling you that you have no control over what's being done to your property, despite the fact it's your property.
I would not recommend Allstate to anyone if they expect to be well taken care of.
