I have just ordered two of the same book -- one to ship to Canada (cost $17) and the other to ship to USA (cost $7).
My first review was negative because of the +200% shipping price increase -- revealed to me ONLY AS I FINALLY CHECKED OUT.
For this 2nd book, the reverse occurred ie. A decrease in shipping to Kansas.
This is also a SHOCK... as it should be stated in your online page 1 advert -- that the $7 shipping is to USA... and "other countries will pay higher shipping... to be calculated (along with taxes) at Check Out".
That kind of up-front notice would engender more customer trust -- and less customer shock and frustration/ill will.

The book was kind of easy to find in paperback, but finding the hardback was a chore. Went to Alibris and they showed me a lovely looking version for a fair price, far fairer than most booksellers were offering. It was sent from California, and it was almost as good as new. Couldn't be happier. Can't wait to dive in.
It was unclear from descriptions if my "Land of the Lost" selection is the complete season of the '74 TV show; I hope it is. In general, I liked the site search for items very much.
Alibris is my go to for any kind of books for the included discounts provided on books and the weekly additional discounts that are sent! Always a pleasant experience buying.
The author I prefer is seldom found on used book stores, but always available thru Alibris
I looked for a rare catalog, found it in seconds, and the items are purchased within minutes.
After several tries to find way way to actually communicate with someone who could give me an answer (by either phone or email) I sent a plea into the void of general contact. After 2 or 3 days I got a canned reply saying it was probably slow delivery service and to wait. But the order itself was updated showing it wasn't sent until the day after I contacted Alibris!

I usually buy books as gifts. Not for myself. I'd be better off buying new from the store because the SHIPPING costs are ASTRONOMICAL! My family likes to read. They don't care if the books are secondhand or not. The books are affordable. Shipping is ridiculous! Stop sending me "emails" that are misleading. What should be a half hour on line takes me HOURS trying to figure out the best place, price and shipping... then... add the TAX! May not be back.
As always, easy to find what I was looking for and then to order.

I needed a textbook outside of school, and could not find it in a single library or store near me. All option online were out of my budget, even ThriftBooks. Happy I found it cheaper on alibris!

Shipping - items should ship together not individually. My Cart - hold activity is not consistent. I know it's not Aliris' inventory but do better with the hold time. This purchase was the first time I place a DVD in my cart and 2 hours later the price changed more than double. Not cool!
