Alibris enjoys a strong reputation among customers for its extensive selection of books, particularly rare and antiquarian titles, coupled with competitive pricing and reliable service. Many users appreciate the straightforward pricing structure and flat-rate shipping, which enhance their shopping experience. However, some concerns have been raised regarding the checkout process, including difficulties in changing shipping addresses and the requirement for lengthy reviews, which can be frustrating. Overall, while customers express high satisfaction with the platform's offerings, there is room for improvement in user interface and customer support aspects.

Email with voucher only good for over £20 which was of no use as only wnted one book. When resetting my password I couldn't get back to the order page easily and had to reopen site. And then the book I ordered was only showing up as the hardback version so I then had to start all over again for the third time! Frustrating to say the least.
Nothing special, so good as usual. I always like the unrushed layout (like being alone in a department store).
The price given on Just Books included shipping, I ended up paying a very slightly lower price for the book, but then got an unexpected 3.99 shipping charge. Probably my mistake somehow but still annoying.
If the billing address is the same as the shipping address, you don't know what the address is until you find it is the wrong shipping address!
Would prefer to see postage costs before adding to basket
The shipping cost should be displayed in the cart for clarity.
Two of your sellers have cancelled my orders for the same book title currently being recommended in today's Guardian newspaper and showing as available on their lists. Very frustrating!
Happy New Year.
It's always problematic for me when the shipping address appears as last one used.
Maybe 2024 will be the year when the default address appears as the user's address or the user has the option to select which address appears within their account settings?
Here's hoping.
Terrible experience with addresses defaulting to random choices on the list.
Sick of how the site defaults to the last used address and doesn't allow an order to be amended immediately after placing if this happens.
It's OK but not exceptional - hate that you really have to be attentive about addresses and that it won't let you change once you've ordered. Always a tense experience.
Very difficult to navigate - and past experience relating to inability to change a mistake in shipping address or cancel order within a short timeframe after placing as is possible on Amazon makes me reluctant to use the site.
I found what I wanted, although I would have liked more options
I found what I wanted, the prices are good, shipping costs a lot
Great, found what I wanted right price
I searched far and wide for this obscure publication of Kenneth Angers' I was quite pleased to find you were the only Bookselle this book (and for an exceptionally reasonable price! Thanking you in advance for this brilliant find!
Otherwise fine, but there were so many technical problems in the end (during and just prior to checkout) that it made the shopping experience feel insecure, nearly non-functional. Otherwise all was fine!
I have bough quite a few books from Alibris over the years and have always been very satisfied with my shopping experience. Well pack and described, and very reasonable postal rates 10/10
I am a returning customer, but haven't registered before, merely buying as a guest. I have always been very happy with my transactions with Alibris.
Selecting payment method is patchy on mobile - I had to use "view desktop site"
Easy to find the books I wanted and to select the bookshop I wanted to buy from.
I first ordered from Alibris (in the U.S.) some 20 years ago. I have never been disappointed.
Voucher issue doesn't seem to be proportioned to spending - how about sending more vouchers to those making more purchases, with a higher threshold each time?
Found you on search engine. Easy just. Waiting for book now
When trying to pay by credit card the screen does not offer me an option to enter my security number on the card. So I have to leave the site then return then it offers me such an option. This is frustrating.
Easy, bit expensive but everything is going up in price.
OK, but took some time to work through changing password
Great shop, I wish it was easy to put in several titles at once to see if can get from the same seller to save on shipping
Does what it says on the tin. I knew what I wanted, logged in, found the books, ordered them painlessly. What's not to like?
Straightforward. I want, I search, I find, I buy. What more can one want?
Found what I was looking for, clicked, paid. Simples.
Easy and seamless purchase experience
Does what it says on the tin without any fuss.
Works well, as expected. You usually have the books I want, and purchase is easy.
Get what I want, straightforward checkout process.
