I had a very positive experience renting a vehicle from Alamo. I had a last minute trip to Portland, Maine, and was able to reserve a vehicle for a reasonable price less than 48 hours before departure. The staff member who greeted me at the Alamo desk was friendly. The vehicle I rented was a 2026 Jeep Compass in excellent condition, I appreciate Alamo's practice of sending an email to confirm the details (day, time) of vehicle drop-off. My flight was delayed, so I was able to extend the rental period by an hour by responding to the email. I would choose Alamo again.

If you're booking with Alamo, be prepared to enter an adversarial relationship. Take your own photos before and after you pick up and drop off. Take fuel level photos when you drop the car off.

I was called to inform me that I left the tank 1/4 empty and would be charged for the fuel. When I informed the staff that I had a photo at drop off of the tank being full with well over 700km worth of fuel magically they checked their records and indeed the tank was full.

What a stupid way to ruin your reputation as a company.

Paid for fuel and car insurance I thought upon check in. When I returned the vehicle the fuel insurance was not included the system. The paperwork was not clear. There were way to many people trying to check in and not enough front desk employees. I should have done a more thorough check of the car I chose of 2. The one I chose front and rear windows needed had a film on the inside making driving dangerous at times. The QR code link advertised at the line area was misleading saying quick check in. The problem though was that the three other people trying to use it had the same problem… it did not work as advertised on the sign. If any of us had left to go to the garage before completion we would have been stuck in a very long line but starting over in the line.

The rental van I had was a good vehicle that performed well. However, Alamo is trying to charge me $4,000 for a minor scratch on a door. This scratch was present when I received the vehicle and this was documented by an Alamo employee. I am still fighting Alamo on this ridiculous charge.

Was overcharged due to Priceline miscommunication. Call your customer support and the woman rep solved the problem immediately and I received the refund! 100% loyal to Alamo for looking out for customers

I was absolutely surprised and elated when I found out the employees of Alamo at El Paso International Airport were still waiting for us after closing. Our flights there had been delayed significantly so we arrived well after closing. Without that rental car we wouldn't have been able to get to our hotel which was about 2 hours away. Y'all were the best thing that had happened during our travel to vacation! Thanks!

The online rental/skip the line process was flawless! What made it even more awesome was the long lines at the counters, prob due to spring break.

Has a reservation with another car rental company at the same location. Was in line for about 30 min, then they didn't have the vehicle type I reserved. Tried to sub with an SUV, but I needed a minivan. I was allowed to cancel.

Looked online for a minivan, Alamo was first on the list with the best price.Took less than 15 min to reserve on the spot and get into the right vehicle.

Employees were welcoming and helpful. The process of pick-up and drop-off was quick and seamless. Car was clean and comfortable. The only minor issue was that the dashboard alarmed for oil change/service due, which made me worry that we could run into potential issues, but the car itself drove fine for the 3 days we rented.

We rented a Pacifica because we had 6 passengers to transport from the airport. Our passengers and all of the luggage fit easily. The vehicle was brand new and worked out perfectly. The Alamo agents, at both ends of the transaction provided excellent customer service and helpful information for our trip.
