Would never recommend this company to anyone. Avoid at all cost. Was charged twice and still no refund! Terrible service and awful customer care.
We were traveling across Europe on our 30 day honeymoon. A month prior to our arrival, we had booked, confirmed and paid for a three night stay in Paris at the Heart of the Latin Quarters. We had visited three other countries and our next stop was in Paris! The night before our flight, we received an email from Agoda that they had been notified by the property management that we requested to cancel our reservation, which we did not. Agoda notified us that they would not cancel and could not cancel the reservation unless they heard directly from us. Thinking everything would fine based on this information, we set out the next morning on 14 hours of travel from Lagos Portugal to Paris France. We arrived in Paris at 1am in the morning. Knowing that we couldn't check in that early we booked a room at the airport hotel. Later that same day we transferred to the Heart of Latin Quarter. Upon arrival we found ourselves stranded outside in the streets with our luggage in the rain! Our Uber driver tried to contact the listed property number but there was no answer. We had no instructions, no code to get in and no phone number to contact Agoda. All we could do was message both parties. However, the automatic message said "it can take up to 48 hours for a response"! After several hours of trying to talk to the locals, a tenant of the building who spoke a bit of English gave us access to the building but there was no way to get in the apartment. As the sun started to set on our first day in Paris, both the property management and Agoda messaged me. The property management said they never gave confirmation of the booking to Agoda and Agoda said the property management canceled the booking without explanation! Obviously no one wanted to step up and take accountability. Both were pointing the finger at the other. Regardless of who's to blame, there need to be some financial compensation other then refunding our reservation. Our 3 day honeymoon in Paris turned into a 3 day nightmare!
Booked a hotel room that was one day off of needed days and they refused to amend or refund. Horrible customer service and will keep your money
I booked a hotel on website.
The booking dropped out mid booking. I went back in to try and continue but had to start again. I received confirmation formation the cancellation email. 2 days later realised funds had been withdrawn from my account. Contacted hotel who cancelled booking. Despite over 20 emails Agoda still have my money even though hotel have been very helpful and agreed to full refund.
Do not give them your credit card details. They are thieves
Left 4 pensioners stuck in Sydney for most of the first day after a lot of phone calls we were given a hotel that was absolutely fantastic but only for 2 nights when we booked for 3 had to pay another$1ooo for 2 rooms for the 3 night the hotel the Fullerton hotel were so good but as for Agoda Thay will be the last place to book with just give you the runaround, so we lost a hole day of the holiday

I currently live out of hotels in Thailand. Had problem in a hotel. Booked the nicest room with a pool view got an older outdated room. Hotel referred me to Agoda. Agoda has spent 2 days waiting for a response from the hotel. Now my time is over in this hotel and I did not get the room I payed for. Thier response time is 5 to 6 hours on an email. Other sites are cheaper but your best bet is to book direct with the hotel. You will get what you pay for or atleast have someone you can talk to immediately if you have a problem
Agoda is not accommodating to my request of name change. The room is good for 3 guest and the name that I need to put as the new Lead guest is one of the 2 guest because the current lead guest can't go because the wife become pregnant after the booking was made. I called the hotel directly and they are very ok to have a name change if ever Agoda will call them. The hotel said there was no call made by Agoda but when I contacted Agoda, Agoda said they tried everything to contact the hotel but the hotel don't answer back. That was a total lie because it didn't take me 2min to call the hotel and they answer immediately. I tried my best to pursue the name change but Agoda don't even bother. It was a waste of money because no one will use it even one of the guest and it was expensive.
I gave up after 2months of explaining repeatedly to Agoda. There were many agents involve and every one of them does not know the history of the request. So I keep on explaining all over again in each of the agent that respond to me. I got tired and gave up.
I will not use Agoda anymore. I will rather book directly to the hotel since I was been doing that. This is the first time I use a 3rd party booking service and it was not pleasing at all.
Terrible, rude, and inconsiderate. I reserved a room online and paid in advance. When I got to the hotel, I wasn't allowed a room because I was less than 2 days shy of 21. Extremely frustrating because there was no mention of that when I made the reservation online but fine. Then they refused to refund me my money because I "should have known" and it was outside the cancellation time frame.
They wouldn't even give me Agoda Bucks for it. They were rude about the entire ordeal and made the entire experience horrible.
First user got 10% promo discount, but when make the booking, it got cancelled by vendor and Agoda said because the booking has been made, promo code will not back even it's vendor cancel the booking. And ask me to check agoda's Terms to have a better understand. Really bad experience by attract customer with word game.
I suppose I am not the only one who face this issue, as booking being cancelled by vendors happens from time to time, actually other platform will give back the promo code because first user never make the booking successfully and the cancellation is not customer's fault.
Agoda customer support just Responding with official correspondence by copy and paste those few sentence again and again, they doesn't really care you or help you. Terrible!
Was surprised to be told at check-in that there was an extra $40 per night charge for a bottle of water, the crappy coffee maker in the room, use of wi-fi and a beach towel. These were not fees I could opt out of. Just put it in the bill rather than misleading me about the actual price of the room. I have not experienced this before and am disappointed. I will not use agobo or this hotel again.

I was cheated by Agoda. I have booked a room from Agoda website, after a strenuous journey from Manali to Delhi. I have booked accommodation at "Hotel Grand Lawson IGI Airport", booking ID - ******* to stay for one day. I have contacted this hotel through the number provided by Agoda, he mentioned that this hotel is closed already and I need to claim refund from Agoda. I have called Agoda customer care no. I could connect to an agent after 12 minutes and the agent told me that she would revert to me soon. I have searched for this hotel and its not available in the address provided in Agoda booking confirmation. I have no other choice except to book for another hotel.

Stay well clear of Agoda, when things go right its ok but when things go wrong its terrible, we booked hotel through Agoda in Bangkok but when we arrived the hotel reception explained there was no booking and to contact Agoda! We were also explained to that the booking for the next day was a lower grade room from what we booked and paid for so we explained we obviously no longer wanted it and was left walking the streets of Bangkok trying to find a New hotel! The issue now is the hotel explains there was a no show and Agoda is not refunding us for the 2 days which cost us about £130, what does one do now? Unbelievable.
I booked my hotel using Agoda but when i reached to location i was surprised to know that hotel doesn't exists, i asked Agoda to help be with other hotel since it was their platform which i had used to book hotel. They asked me to wait for hours and disconnect my phone call after 1 and a half hour, i called them again they assured me i will get call in next 30 min but i didn't get any call back. After hours of suffering they sent email saying they can not arrange hotel i will get amount refunded, i was shocked where i will go in this situation, they had already spoiled my holidays.
It's very pathetic experience when you are traveling with family and hotel which you have booked doesn't exist anymore and have to wait on road with family for hours and staying on calls with Agoda customer support for hours.

To get refund phone bills on international calling cost us almost the cost of the hotels bill. This people are corrupted to bone.
Be careful of this scammer company. The price displayed when booking is PER NIGHT. To see that the price is shown as PER NIGHT, you have to click on the number.
Answer: I didn't know that? I have had the best deals from them and I find them very helpful.
Answer: I don't bother making lists just search for where I am going and select the best deal for at least 1 mth before its needed and keep track of prices

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
