When you try to book anything on the app or websites please beware. Their customer service is below average. They will only lead you in circles and in the end they can't help your situation. The private property they list on the website is inaccurate because they don't do inspections and it will be your fault if you get a lemon.

I have provided the pictures of the property. They could clearly see how dirty was the bedsheet, toilet were not cleaned at all, ashes on the floor etc that did not bring any conclusion!
They wrote in email- "hotel advice that no issue found in my room", then what are those pictures saying which I sent to agoda in previous email! They could not even explain me.
I can clearly see that agoda was in favour of the hotel not in the client!
When we saw the condition of the room, we were trying to cancel on the website but agoda didn't have any option and hotel manager said the only way I can cancel is through agoda.
I even called agoda customer service to raise a refund due to poor condition of the rooms at the same time. But all useless.
Now, the hotel is telling agoda a different story! And they believe in verbal evidence, not in physical one(photos) which I have sent agoda in last email!
It's a scam!
Never ever book anything with agoda if you do not want regret in your holidays.

I booked a room, i was there and the owner said she doesn't have space for us, there are fully booked and Agoda doesn't reply me, i want my money back!
I canceled the online hotel bookings overseas 5 days in advance via Agoda due to a family emergency. I was following up on the cancelation refund and the processes. The Agoda customer service agent is very rude. Not only did they not help me resolve my issues and did not refer me to a Manager but hung up on me. A total of $670.20 was withdrawn from my account and e-mailed that I could not refund the money. I called my bank and they will take care of this. I WILL NEVER BOOK VIA AGODA AGAIN. Very rarely do I complain but this was a lot of money. THEY ARE SCAMMERS!
I used Agoda to make a booking for a hotel and payed using my paypal account. I received the booking confirmation email, my credit card was charged so all in all it was a good experience.However, after 1 hour I received a cancellation email from Agoda and when I contacted them they mentioned that they could not charge my card. I believed them, thinking maybe there was an issue with my PayPal account, and rebooked at the same hotel, for the same days using directly my credit card this time. Guess what though, my other bookings were somehow not cancelled and were still active so I ended up having two bookings for the same hotel at the same date and of course cancellation of these bookings was non-refundable.
It seems that could be a common practice of Agoda to extort money from clients?
Do not book via Agoda (owner company is the same as Booking.com - vastly different experience though). Both Agoda and their hotels falsely advertise. I paid more to stay in the hotel in Ho Chi Min because of the amazing looking pool picture and the fact that it appeared the hotel transfers were included in the price. The pool photo was a fake photo taken from another hotel's website - the pool looked nothing like the picture. Also, I eventually had to contact Agoda customer service after emailing the hotel twice to try arrange an airport transfer and the hotel not replying. Was informed by customer service that there was an additional fee for the airport transfer - I sent them screenshots showing them that nowhere did it say the fee was additional - they washed their hands of it saying 'they apologise for any misunderstanding and inconvenience'. Wrote a review warning others of the hotel and using Agoda on the Agoda app - funny that I couldn't find my review as being posted - you also can't sort by latest review' - funny that! Such scammers.

I booked 2 properties with their high price and it was showing pay at the property, took my card details and made the payment, I made the booking by mistake as I chose some different dates. They said they cannot refund and booking amount was very less for the same day. Property people said Agoda takes non refundable prices we can't help. They are the scammers, I hate Agoda. I made a mistake. I wasted 4500 INR due to their stupidity.
Agoda will show low flight prices but when you click on it and open it, they will suddenly increase the pricing.
The hotel booking is many times not done even after payment and their refund never comes

Book a hotel with the POOL as a feature.
According to AGODA that is a complimentary feature and wont cancel the booking without penalty. COMPLETELY ACCEPTABLE
The Agoda rate appearing on Google Travel was lower (or so I thought) than the conference rate for a recent stay -- I wound up paying a higher rate and there were hidden fees to boot.
In 24 hrs I lost $700 in bad flight reservation and hotel stays. This site will not refund you for cancellation or rebooking the correct dates. The airlines finally changed my booking for an additional $100 plus baggage fees that were already paid for. Save yourself a lot of headaches and use another site. Pics are from the room we reserved. Agoda says too bad so sad.
They cancelled my booking after failed to charge my card as i lost and freeze my card during travelling. They gave me ONLY 1 (ONE) DAY to key in new card for payment, but i was travelling who checks emails on such short notice?
When i arrived hotel in Tokyo, hotel staff couldnt find my booking detail, prices for hotels doubled. I stood at lobby like a fool for 2 hours after a 15hrs flight from JFK.
THEY COULD HAVE LET ME PAY UPON CHECK IN. NOT CANCEL IT RIGHT AWAY WHILE I HAVENT READ THE EMAIL.
Truly upset with Agoda
How often can you find a hotel in ANY city with early AM check in the hours past midnight!? I'm arriving at 3am in DXB, so waiting till 12 pm is out of the question. Those Sleep N Fly time listings are inflexible & overpriced, most hotels are inflexible regarding check in regardless of price. When Kayak displayed that rarity (but special price good if booked within the next few minutes) Agoda was the only booking site shown, so I acted quickly. At first, there was a glitch with my preferred payment method that could have derailed the time limit, I kept repeating the attempts without success, also it took extra time to reduce the file size of required documents for a successful upload. My Amex CC had over $7000 available credit, I couldn't understand why the repeated rejections, so I used the chat line. After being referred to Iman (if he was or is in the UK, it was 5 am there) he managed to straighten out the problem and get it resolved. Although I'm anxious, I am also patient. It took more time than I expected, but I sensed he'd be successful. Thanks Iman & thanks Agoda!
Wanted to book a room for me and ky wife for a night. It was booked in an oyo room by agoda and I paid the entire money in one go. But when I went for staying after a long train journey I understood that agoda didn't inform oyo about my booking and in turn oyo also didn't do the same to the property. Finally I was not allowed to stay in the property and I lost the money and stood on the road in the rains with my luggage along with my wife. Agoda's customer care was very pathetic and the calls were being transferred to one another making me more tensed. It was the worst experience of my life. Do not trust Agoda...never use Agoda app.
I made 3 reservations and literally after a min i wanted to change date they wouldn't allow me and also 1 reservation i reserve it for someone and they wont allow it.i emailed them I actually stated that i am making reservation for different people they are too dumb So my 600$ is nothing they just took my money and wont do anything actually they offered 35$ back their customer service named LOWENA told me that they will take an action but i havent heard from her in 3 weeks now! They are total BS! I want to sue this company BEWARE!
I booked a hotel through this company and my appointment was cancelled, and I called this company for refund and they promised they refund me. And afterward they refused to refund and they took my money and stopped answering my request. Don't trust this company and they don't honor their word and they after your money to take it

I booked a hotel at 5pm, but I got the message, that something went wrong. Therefore, I had to book a hotel with a different agency. The next day, I got the booking confirmation and AGODA deducted 170€ for the Hotel. The customer service does not even try to understand the problem and also does not answer any more.

I booked a room with Agoda in January 2023 in Bali. While I didn't get ripped off like most customers who have reviewed the site, I can say that you really cannot rely on the reviews of the hotels they advertise. They screen the bad ones out in order to sell their rooms. I wrote a very bad review of the room and it was never published. Their policy states that they publish real and true reviews. I beg to differ and believe that this is not very honest marketing. Do not use this site. You are setting yourself up for a disappointment.
Agoda would provide wrong info of the listings. Don't ever pay through their portal even if you are placing a booking. Go to the property and check it out and verify before paying. Apparently most of the listings are procured through third party portals and manipulated by Agoda.

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
