Agoda is a very helpful and fast and easy way to book hotels at your destination. After using Agoda, I doubt if I ever use another sight to book another hotel. Not only are they the cheapest sight but they also don't charge your card when making the reservation.

We have recently used agoda.com to book a hotel in the UK, we had an exam the day after we landed, we arrived at the hotel at 8:30pm only to discover that the hotel had our dates incorrectly booked, from agoda, and the hotel now was of course full and could assist us further, my confirmation email from agoda had our dates correctly, but the hotel had a totally different conformation for us.
We called agoda and they tried to relocate us to a hotel 40mins away from our original booking, we had hired a car, and traffic in london city is crazy enough as it is, we could not be that far away from our testing centre, which is why we had booked the place we had booked in the first place, had that been correctly booked we would have only been an 8min walk away. Agoda went on the try and explain that the hotel was not that much further, and we would be ok there, I did not need any location advise at this stage, they were really rude and condescending about it, about a problem that should never have happened in the fist place.
Agoda called us again at midnight saying that they could not help us, all they could do was refund our booking and went on to offer us a 10% discount on the next booking, at this stage I was so frustrated words cannot convey the level of frustration and there they went and offered a discount... after incurring me extra charges on roaming for all the painful useless phone calls back and fourth, and we had to find our own place the night before our exam and! Paid 60 euro extra for the accommodation, ridiculous, not to mention all the added unnecessary stress.
I then emailed agoda again when we got back home to ireland, explained the entire situation again, they still proceeded to offer me a 10% discount on the next booking and totally ignored the entire email, it all fell on deaf ears.
So, therefore, I would like to advise anyone who is even so much as contemplating booking with this unreliable service, please reconsider as it was a complete nightmare all thanks to agoda.com.
I would never book with them again, I would advice anyone to do the same! Honestly the worst experience by far.
Tried booking 2 rooms in Bacolod Philippines. First room fine but when booking second received message warning not to use same name so I booked in my sister-in laws name. Ended up being charged for 3 rooms so sent message requesting cancellation of third room. Checking my credit card yesterday and today shows not 2 or 3 charges, but 5! This put me over my credit limit that will result in penalties and a negative report on my credit report. In addition it now appears some local flights I booked did not go through, presumably since my credit card was over limit. Never again.
Many times in the past we (my wife and me) booked our hotel rooms via Agoda. And we have never been disappointed. Quick, easy and reasonable prices.

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
