They literally steal money from the accounts of the people who bank with them. They'll withdraw money from my account with no explanation no call nothing money that I'm going to my job and making and they are taking. This is the absolutely worst bank to ever go with.

Horrible
April 8, 2022

Honestly, I've never wrote a review ever in my life. I just feel as if it's doing to much. But this bank is HORRIBLE. They take hours to answer the phones, it was a time money was taken without my permission but the woman wouldn't dispute it. You can't add their card to Apple Pay. After 9 you can't transfer money, after 5pm any money from cash app wouldn't appear instantly, so you'll do better pressing the next day. It's just horrible.

NSF charges
March 23, 2022

Worst bank I've ever dealt with I had money in my account to cover everything then I see they hit me with 68.00 NSF and when I called I was treated like crap. First she said their was no NSF charges so once I pointed it out she said we should have charged you 3 times and never even once explained why. Watch out!

It is better to hold onto your money. Currently I am locked out of my account because for whatever reason they designed the app and website to ONLY send a password recover to your phone that you can't pay the bill on because you don't know if you have the money for so you can't get the recovery; and when you talk to them they say to go through the website and the website asks for your phone number to send the recovery password to that you cannot receive messages from because you can't pay your bill because you don't know what is in your bank, because you can't remember your password, and can't recover your password because the bank sends the recovery password to ONLY your phone, and the cycle goes on. This is one problem in the list. This bank doesn't have cash deposit on the ATMs which would save the poor tellers so much time. Just choose another bank, for the love of god, USE ANOTHER BANK.

Don't use this bank!
December 15, 2021

We opened an account with this bank to have a second bank for cashing checks etc. when our regular bank is closed. We had less than $100 in the account. When I tried to use my debit card it was denied. When I went to the branch they said I didn't have an account. Couldn't find anything in my name or SS#. Then they kept my card. My husband went to another branch, same thing happened to him but he kept his card.
Manager said since there was no activity on the account they charged us fees until all the money was gone. Then they closed the account. We NEVER received statements or any form of communication stating they were charging fees and closing account.
If you use this bank be aware of your balance at all times! I will never use this bank again.

Thieves
November 23, 2021

I closed my account after a dispute issue in which they owed me $. Every time I called to resolve it, it was over an hour wait to speak to anyone- only to he transferred to another department and wait another hour OR be hung up on and having to start the process all over again. It never got resolved. The ball got bounced from person to person until I finally gave up and just closed my account. Yup, they kept my $. Their goal is to make things as difficult as possible so that customers finally give up. DO NOT BANK WITH THEM.

Their customer service is beyond terrible, not only that, I tend to have many problems with my bank account "missing" money, and me temporarily not being able to use my card due to It saying I have a negative number in my account when it's definitely not the case. It does this very often and no one seems to care, or find a solution to help with this ongoing problem and it's common in every first convenience bank I've been too.

Horrible
October 4, 2021

If you are looking for a bank, do yourself a favor and pass this one up! You can never get a hold of any local branches by phone, the automated phone system is a joke, you stay in the waiting queue for 30 mins to an hour then when you finally reach a live agent they normally can not help as they only know basic information then they end up transferring you to another department, after waiting for another 15-20 minutes you are send back to the automated system or the line is disconnected. If your like to use mobile deposit for the (convenience) don't waste your time they normally place a hold for (7) business days even if you are using repeat customer payments. I live over an hour from my nearest branch so most of my banking is done via app or online or through the phone system. This bank needs to take the word convenience out of the name as there isn't one thing about convenience with them. 0 stars from me. I'll be closing out my personal and business bank once I have my account resolved with missing funds and hold and unauthorized charges.
I do not recommend this bank!

I found first convenience Bank to be very slow when it comes to direct deposit transactions compared to what I'm use to using. I also noticed how slow it is for them to transfer money into my account when using cash app. So I'm going back to Green Dot. Last year I earned hundreds of dollars on cash back and I also like that idea as well and I didn't have to have a savings account to get it. Only thing bad about Green Dot is it doesn't have a local location unless you upload at Walmart or someplace but other than that there are some conveniences of having a local bank so I will keep this account open in those cases where a local bank is required to do certain things. I'll just keep a few bucks in it to keep it going. Customer service was average as usual and everything was nice as well about them.

Not enough limit
July 12, 2021

I called my bank about having my limit increase for Zelle and was advised they are unable to increase it. I asked the rep so in order to pay my rent I either pay a late fee because you won't increase it or I change banks. She said yes mind you I have been with this bank for a long time. I guess it's time to move on and let them close the account.

Since June 1 /2021. I keep call first convenience bank customer service to remind them to send the new card for me because my debit card expire on June 30-2021. They told me they send the card to me on June-2-2021. But on June-14 -2021. I call the customer service again because I don't receive the new card. And I am traveling overseas at the end of the month. I need my card because I want to update my auto payment to pay my bills before I leave. And the supervisor he said if you need the card now you have to pay 25.00 dollar then I send it to you rush mail. Or I have to wait until the end of the this month if Don't receive the card he can send another card for me. When I call him the June -14-2021 around 12:00 after noon. He was no good with me he don't care to resolve my problem he speek rude with me. So I don't recommend this bank to anyone. Because very rude customer service especially the. Supervisor that time at that day.

They're Okay
June 4, 2021

This bank sits between meaning OK to mediocre. A huge positive is that any check deposited into your account gets displayed a day early.

A huge downside to it though is the lack is their lack of help with overdrafts. We all overdraft our account every now and then, however, most banks offer a grace period for you to pay that off before they apply an overdraft fee, but this bank doesn't. They will literally apply the fee the second your account overdrafts, even if you pay it off two seconds after it happens and they will do everything in their power to make sure that they do not refund you that fee.

Another huge flaw is their customer service, both in their local branches and their call center. Every single local branch that I've been to is filled with just out of high school employees that just stand around chatting. Their call center is fairly helpful, if you can actually manage to get someone on the line. I have been told by the automated system that my wait is less than five minutes, only to wait an hour for someone to actually get on the line.

So overall, it's an okay option for a bank if you can deal with their flaws.
