This company is way over priced and does not load the truck properly, they are clean and look nice but get pass that the know nothing about the Junk removal business, go with a local smaller company get twice as much for your money and better service. DO RESEARCH just do not hire them for their ads. ALL companies pick up what you point at.

Your experience depends on which team shows up - some are honest but others will lie - give u the estimate then stand staring at u telling u the price went up - a real shakedown be aware. Scary

We had to clean out a garage full of random old junk. Thankfully to have the super friendly DeAndre and Leon help us out on a hot summer texas day! They were very friendly and accommodating! Highly recommended!

MY NAME IS MARCIA AND ON 13 JULY 21, I CALLED 1800GOTJUNK TO GET A QUOTE TO PICKUP A TV AND STAND. THEY GAVE ME A QUOTE OF $130+ AND I MADE THE APPT FOR 14 JULY 21. I TOLD THE REP, I LIVE IN A 3 STORY TOWNHOUSE AND HE SAID IT'S FINE. THE THREE MAN CREW SHOWED UP AND I TOOK THE ONE INCHARGE UPSTAIRS AND SHOWED HIM THE TV & STAND (THE TV IS VERY OLD HEAVY). HE LOOKED AT IT AND SAID IT WILL COST $600 TO TAKE IT. I TOLD HIM THAT'S NOT WHAT THEY QUOTED ME. HE ASKED ME HOW MUCH THEY QUOTED ME AND I TOLD HIM $135. HE SAID HE WILL DO IT FOR $500, I SAID I CAN'T AFFORD IT. HE ASKED ME HOW MUCH I CAN AFFORD, I SAID $200. HE SAID HE HAVE TO CALL HIS BOSS, HE LEFT FOR ABOUT TEN MINUTES. WHEN HE CAME BACK HE SAID HIS BOSS SAID $500, I SAID NO. HE TOLD ME IF I CAN GET SOMEONE TO TAKE IT DOWN STAIRS AND PUT IT ON THE CURVE, THEY WILL COME BACK AND PICK IT UP FOR $200. I TOLD HIM, IF I GET SOMEONE TO TAKE IT TO THE CURVE I WILL GIVE THEM THE $200 TO DISPOSE IT. THEY ARE A BIG A** RIP OFF. AFTER THEY LEFT, I CALLED MY HANDYMAN AND HE CAME BY AFTER THEY LEFT. HE AND HIS FRIEND TOOK IT TO GOODWILL AND I GAVE HIM $50 AND $50 FOR HIS FRIEND. MONEY WELL SPEND. YOU SHOULD PUT IN THEIR ADVERTISMENT, 1800GOTJUNK, WE'LL RIP YOU OFF. NEW NAME 1800RIPOFFS. I WILL MAKE SURE THAT NONE OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS USE YOUR SERVICE. CALL YOUR LOCAL HANDYMAN OR THE BUM WALKING AROUND WITH A SIGN ASKING FOR MONEY.

Positives: The men were very friendly, strong, capable, and careful not to bump into anything on the way out. They phoned to give heads-up they were coming 14 minutes before arriving. They wore masks and gloves, and observed social distancing. They were fast, and didn't waste any time getting the job done. Negatives: I had a sofa and easy chair removed, and it cost me $302.84! The once-reasonable prices of 1-800-GOT JUNK HAVE GONE UP TO RIDICULOUS HEIGHTS since the first couple of times I used their service. I think they should spend less money on expensive media ads, and keep their prices at more affordable rates -- especially in the case of seniors who are on limited incomes!

SO I called 1800 Got Junk because I have a pickup truck bed size load of regular house hold stuff that has to go (because we are moving/downsizing). I was very clear when calling on the amount we have and that we have 1 twin mattress/box spring included.
I was told this sounds like a minimum load size which would be 150.00. I was told when they guy comes, he will evaluate the amount we have and confirm the price.
He got here and said the price was like 488 (or 458- I don't remember exactly, but high 400's)

He laughed when I said I was quoted 150.00. He said 150.00 would be one of those mattress's and one of these plastic bins. He said he has this conversation with people ALL THE TIME, and its so frustrating.

He said when you call, you are calling the Canada call center, and they will tell you anything to get your information and someone out to you. I understand that the price can vary when the guy come to evaluate in person, but this is just reckless, and a waste of EVERYONES TIME! I could of had the stuff gone a different route while waiting for my appointment, so frustrating. And I'm telling anyone who will listen that this company is shady.

Jaydon and CJ were awesome! They showed up on time were very polite and worked very fast! I would highly recommend this service based on my personal experience!

If I could give a Negative Star Review it would be a -5. They were 6 hours late with NO update calls on arrival! I called Customer Service 3 times and was told some cockamamie reason for the delay then was lied to each time by telling me the truck would be there in an hour. Well that dispatching system sure sucks! Plus is it not the job of Customer Service or even the Truck Driver to keep the customer notified on their arrival? Not one call…. I made the calls to find out when I could expect the truck which BTW was a pack full of tales! When the truck finally arrived 6 HOURS LATE the driver was a pompous $#*! and very rude. Tried to bait and switch the quote I got and up sell the load. WTF! Do I have STUPID tattooed on my forehead? Finally agreed to a price which I still feel was too expensive but unfortunately I was at the mercy of these bozos because I needed to empty my moms apartment that day or I would have canceled the job hours prior and hire a different company for another day. Plus they were very careless loading the truck and broke a glass top which spew on the parking lot. So if you have no time constraints and extra cash to spend go ahead and hire JUNK otherwise look for a reputable company that gives you a contract before they do your job.

Devonta and Jared did an excellent job. They showed up when promised, took everything as advertised, noted any items that would require a fee such as propane tanks and the fridge, made sure to answer and questions clearly and swept the place clean when done, all within the appointment window. They even laughed at my humor. Thank you all.

I called to have a few items removed from my daughter's apartment. My daughter recieved a quote of $370 which I thought was ridiculously high but by the time I arrived they had already started loading the truck. Once they finished (in approx. 20-25 minutes) the price went up to $498. The removal included 2 five-drawer dressers, a sitting chair, a large box of junk and a queen-sized mattress. 5 items ended up being $100 a piece. Never again will I use this company! I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau to report this.

I would recommend 1-800-Got-Junk to anyone who needs bulk removal. Prompt, professional and reasonable prices!

Johnstown NY, driver was literally speeding in a 40mph zone. I signaled him to slow down. Guy pulled over and tried to start a fight with me. I'll never use their services. Guy was a jerk

Called 1 800 got junk. They sent a crew out who looked at the job and quoted me a price of $1200. 00. Ok it was a large job so I expected a huge fee. They told me they couldn't do the job that day. Ok so when could they I asked. I was told their boss would contact me within the next few days. That was on a Wednesday, I had told the crew I needed the stuff removed before the following weekend which gave them over a week to do the job as I had painters coming to paint the house. I never heard a peep from this business. I figured if they could pass up a $1200. 00 job they were too big for me to waste my time on. Needless to say I was left scrambling for a business to do the job. I ended up hiring another company who was able to come out on monday. They had it cleared in less than 2 hours and quoted me $400.00 less.

We had Ethan and Daniel come out on 5 May to get some stuff as we are getting ready to put or house on the market and move. They were total troopers as we have a daylight basement and they had to go down a little hill from the driveway to get into the basement to get some stuff. They were very organized getting everything packed in the truck to insure everything we wanted them to get would fit. They were also working pretty fast as i was getting tired for them while watching them truck right along to get everything done. We were very pleased with their work ethics.

I will never use this service ever again because the workers will take things of value that you ask them not to take. The price for the amount of space on the truck is highway robbery and again they take things and must be watched at all times. Do not trust them in your home alone you have been warned!

They are expensive for what they do. I'm sure they make good money for what they haul away. They resell what they haul away.

I inherited a houseful of stuff from my parents and need it cleaned out relatively quickly. I can't afford to have it all hauled away at once. John and Marcus came today and right away asked about how much we could afford today. We told them we'd like to keep it between $300 and $400. They asked us what all we wanted removed and looked at it all and helped us prioritize what should go first to make the most room in the house and get the most bang for our buck. They were fast, efficient, helpful, and so, so friendly. They even asked about any pets to make sure they wouldn't get out while they were hauling stuff away. That is something I truly, truly appreciated because it's been my experience that most people that come to do work in your house pay no attention at all if you have pets or not. I can't say for sure, but I think they were generous with us knowing we were on a budget and let us throw out a little extra. I will definitely be using them again, and am planning to request John and Marcus, if I can.

Dylan and Xavier did a great job removing my old junk. They were on time, service was quick and they were Very professional. I will use them again.
