Think twice before you hire these guys. They quoted 2000. 00 but wanted me to pay 3100. 00 plus tip of 250.00 to 500.00. I had my cousin pick up 5 truck loads. So I thought it would be less money. They were very eager to get paid before I could see the job was done. When I walked in to check everything out there were alot of things they over looked and it was a mess. I asked that they finish and spoke to owner and he told me I added stuff :( he then indicated to me he would dump it all back in the yard. I said I will pay 2700. 00 and when you come back tomorrow morning I will pay the balance of 400.00. Ofcourse they never came back. My cousin and I finished the job for the new home owner. Find someone else these are not good people.
I recommended this 1800 got junk because they are fast workers and they get the job done before you even know it.
I was pleasantly surprised with the speed and friendliness of the team who showed up to remove the furniture, and I did not have to wait for an appointment (they came within a day or two of my call), and the price was reasonable. HOWEVER! MAKE VERY SURE NOTHING VALUABLE IS INADVERTENTLY LEFT INSIDE WHATEVER YOU GIVE THEM. I called back later to try to trace something I had mistakenly left inside my Gma's old sewing credenza... they were nice on the phone and promised me the franchise manager would call me back, and they have yet to do so. Also problematic is that I received nothing other than a coupon after the sale to prove the transaction. They took my credenza outside and probably looked through it before they came back with a gleam in their eye saying they would give me a $7 discount of the tax (they probably had just pocketed my Gma's silver which I did not realize at the time was inside the credenza).
MORAL---They are quick, but maybe too quick. I should at least have been given a paid receipt as they left.
The estimate over the phone versus the quote onsite were somewhat off. Had to negotiate the rate to talk him down for him to give me a better price. Not what was the estimate, but close enough.
I also helped carry out the furniture as it was very heavy. It took three of us to get it out of the house. Make sure you have a promo code. It helps. Not a huge fan. Can't say that I'd use them again or refer them to others, unless you're in a bind and have no choice.
Hey I called and they came out, it was super reasonably priced and super professional. They communicated with me perfectly and even took my payment over the phone. Didn't hit any walls or anything. They are amazing and I would recommend them to anyone.
They came in and took out all my junk 30mins later all gone no real hassle they were nice and it was way better than doing it myself
I just want to make sure I let the company know of the 2 guys Comrade M. And Kevin M. Sent for my removal. They were professional, respectful and efficient in removing my things. They explained the cost up front and took care when extracting from my property. I will definitely recommend as well as use your services again. I had some bulky stuff and the price was reasonable.
Thanks a grateful customer
The team called at the beginning of arrival window, arrived within stated time. Got to work right away.
Charged 348.00 for a job that took 20 minutes to take items from a storage unit 2 steps on to the truck. Sick...
My suggestion is to take a pic of what they are to remove and the quote once they give it.
I live in Queens, NY and called 1800gotjunk for removal of an assortment of items. I was given a date, approximate time, and estimated cost. I was also told they would call prior to arrival, which they did. I explained the items where all in different locations, upstairs, front room, kitchen, basement and backyard, I took them to each location and pointed out the many items. Mike and Jose asked if there was any order we wanted them to work and I stated upstairs, main floor, basement and backyard. We have 2 dogs and Mike told us not to worry they liked pets and we could let them stay. They proceeded to go upstairs and before I knew it the job was completed. Mike asked if there was anything else I needed him or Jose to do. Both Mike and Jose were very pleasant and professional. He asked if I wanted to walk the area to be sure they had taken everything I had pointed but there was no need. I plan to use them again in the near future. Their price was fair. I had received estimates from 4 companies, and 1800gotjunk was the best. I recommend this group highly. I have seen some very negative reviews, but Mike and Jose and the company were great to work with.
Super quick. Junk all gone. Nash and Terrell were awesome. Now I have room in my basement again.
Thank you. 5 stars
600$ for half a garage of cardboard boxes and two medium items. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Rip off of a company
When cleaning out an apt that someone died from that could barely take care of himself. They like to talk $#*! n disrespect the dead. Yeah the guy that pass away was A hoarder. The other residents shouldn't be able to hear them talking $#*! about attendants that r deceased.
We live in Texas. Troy and Matt literally cleaned out our garage. On time. Professional and friendly. We are extremely pleased with their work and the pricing. Nicknamed them the miracle workers. A job well done!
Terrible company to hire or work with. Here are all the secrets they don't want you to know. Their call center is located in Canada and the representatives tell you low prices and entice you with free estimates so they can arrive at your home and once there, truck team members make up their own price and are instructed to charge as much as possible for daily revenue goals and also profit sharing reasons. Secondly, you are given a 2 hr window for your appointment but might end up waiting around all day as drivers could care less about when they arrive at a job. Thirdly, nothing is donated or recycled as they claim in their website. They dump 95% of items in the landfill and sell the other 5% to thrift shops. Fourth, they pay minimum wage and hire 95% of people that were just released from prison with dangerous felonies and/or are on parole. Be very careful who you let in your home as they are known to steal and rob. The motto is we will make our money one way or another. Fifth, the price is suppose to be based on how much space you take up in the truck but their truck often times has items already in it or is filled with garbage bins, dollies, ladders, and other items they use to fluff up the truck. If you can look at the truck from a overhead view through a window or by climbing up on a truck you will see all the empty space you are paying for. Sixth, the company will always try to tact on extra fees when they are not necessary or are explained. Labor fees, bed load fees, and even additional extra time fees are all ploys they use to bump up the price. Save your money and time and do your research and pick a company that will charge a lot less and do the same job.
Henny and James did an outstanding job. They worked quickly and efficiently.
Extremely professional.
I had a scheduled pickup for 2 items. I was rescheduled 3 times that day and was told the 3rd time it could take awhile to get out to me. At this time it was 5:30pm. Their last excuse was because of the poor weather their truck needed a boost. The temperature was -6c. Then had to dump their load. I can not recommend this company. Lame excuses that don't hold water
I called to have a few items removed from my sister's home. I was told the minimum charge was $179 and went up from there to somewhere around $750 (I don't remember the exact amount for top tier). Apparently, they have a tiered system and there are 13 tiers in all.
They showed up the next morning (day after my call) and we were the first call so bright and early. All seemed well until they supplied the quote. The first quote was very vague saying it could be as much as $750. I said, "you're going to charge me the top rate for the few items I need removed?" They said that could be the max amount, I said I need the exact amount so I can say yes or no to them removing the items. They said they had to call their supervisor to review for the exact pricing. They went out to their truck and called their supervisor. I was then given their phone so I could speak to supervisor on speaker phone. The supervisor started at $650, I told him that was too high, and he started to give me another number. I finally said I didn't have time to play games, just give me the amount so I can make a decision. The final price was $350 which I didn't take because the previous day I had a better estimate. He wasn't willing to come down to my number, so we didn't make a deal.
The two men who came to the home were polite and punctual but the pricing in my opinion was too high. Good luck to anyone thinking about using this company, make sure you get a good quote before they start.
1st call they quoted $100 to haul away a mattress. 2nd call they quoted $150.3rd call the wanted to see the mattress before they could quote. 4th conversation they said that they couldn't come out but it would be $220. They blamed the other quotes on corporate and said that corporate doesn't know how to quote
