I love zoc doc! I have severe anxiety and have a hard time speaking on a telephone so if it wasn't for zoc doc I would probably never make an appointment with a doctor. I had one problem with a doctor not confirming an appointment I had made but I reported it to the zoc doc customer service department and they made things right immediately. I was very impressed. The only way they could improve the site would be to let the doctors register follow up appointments on there so if you needed to reschedule a follow up appointment you could do it online without having to call the office.

It is convenient for making appointments. However, I think Doctor's office staff should see not only schedule date but also patient's request or comment.
I mentioned to them that my purpose of visit was for flu shot in comment.
When I visited I was told that all flu shots were out and had to come back again.
If they saw my comment, they could contact me to reschedule, avoiding to visit 2 times.
I even billed for 2nd visits for facilitating fee.
Fortunately my insurance was covered for that but still it didn't make sense to me to be billed for lacking their attention.
ZocDoc Rep called the doctor's office to solve the issue for me. It was kind of her.

ZocDoc has always provided me with beyond amazing service and if I've ever had an issue, which has only been once, they addressed it very quickly and appropriately. With ZocDoc you are ultimately in charge of who you see and when you go. Also, least we forget that all the healthcare professionals are reviewed by an amazing community of real life ZocDoc members! You're also able too see the professionals credentials, photos of staff and facility. I could go on and on about ZocDoc and how amazing they are, but you'll honestly never know until you sign up! Oh, and did I mention it's a free service. That's right, add some Zoc to your life

Before I found ZocDoc, making an appointment with any kind of doctor in New York was insanely frustrating; most were fully booked for months, and when I did find one, I waited two hours for my appointment and ended up being an hour late for work. With ZocDoc, I can see immediately who is available, have been able to get appointments the next day, and have never waited more than 15 minutes for my appointment. It even shows more doctors accepting my insurance than my insurance's own website! The reviews help me to sort through doctors who might not be as responsive or who seem to be overbooked, so I generally have a positive experience. I've talked to friends who stumbled upon ZocDoc as well who were equally impressed - they too had been hunting for weeks for a new doctor, and were able to get an appointment within 10 minutes of going on the site. I would honestly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a doctor of any kind, as it makes the entire process as easy as it should be.

Horrible terrible, about 8 appointments fell through, insurance was never correct.

My experience was poor. I was feeling very sickly and I made an appointment via ZocDoc for the local Care Station. I had been there before with no problems. My appointment was for 11 AM on January 14. I signed in at 10:45 AM and was never called. At 12 I asked when I would be seen. The secretary had no notification of my appointment and had just skipped over my name. I showed her my confirmation. No apology. I was just told to return at 2 PM. I did return and was not seen until after 3 PM. By 5 PM I was diagnosed with pneumonia. Exhausted I still had to wait another hour for my medications at the pharmacy.
