About a month ago, I was having difficulty finding a primary care physician, and I was feeling exhausted by the search. Then I found ZocDoc. Wow! Within minutes I located a primary care doctor within the traveling distance I was looking for, and with the credentials I wanted. I was able to find out about his accepted insurance right on site at ZocDoc, and was able to set an appointment within two days, right ONLINE! The physician's open appointment days and times were posted on a calendar in the ZocDoc format. Additionally, after setting the appointment at ZocDoc, staff from the office of my physician of choice called my cell number to confirm that my appointment was set, and I was informed what I needed to bring. I was totally amazed! Soooo easy. Such a smooth flow. I will add here an important part to me: I have since had two appointments with the physician I found on ZocDoc, and I am very happy to say I have found my primary care doctor! I have already submitted a well-deserved review for Dr. Hasan in Virginia Beach. It's great to have a physician that I feel comfortable trusting with my healthcare. ZocDoc is a great website and it is well set up. It functions as promised! Thank you ZocDoc. Keep up the great service!
Needed to make an emergency appointment with my Doctor during the weekend so went to the site, made an appointment online and it was confirmed Monday morning.
Can't ask for better treatment than that!
My experience has been overwhelmingly positive with ZocDoc, I have recommended it to friends and family.
I was very satisfied with my first ZocDoc experience. It was a refreshing change to be able to see my doctor's available appointment times, and to then schedule the appointment at a convenient time for me. I also like the confirmation and follow up process to remind me of an upcoming appointment. My doctor is very good about staying on schedule, so the wait time is minimal. Overall, a very pleasant and professional way to meet with my doctor.
I didn't like the fact, that some medical institutions in US provide extremely worse quality of service than Amazon. They are rude even before you signed contract that obligates to pay them money. And don't care about customer satisfaction. This site make it possible to filter such doctors, and this is really great.
The entire experience was easy and much less daunting than anticipated. I had struggled to find a doctor and zoc doc makes it pretty easy once you know what you're looking for.
It theory ZocDoc sounds great. In reality it doesn't always work out very well. I used ZocDoc for the clinic I work at. The representative made is sound amazing. Made lots of promises. Asked for a lot of money up front. Then they refused to work with us to make their online scheduling calender work with ours. They refused to sign a HIPPA agreement with the third party (the ones in charge of the servers which contained a lot of private patient information from other clinics) to allow them access to the servers. They simply refused... So this supposedly great service I was supposed to get I never got. It ended up causing more issues and angry customers. Talking to them on the phone was also a test to my patience. They were so condescending and patronizing. They had screwed up in the initial set up regarding what insurances our clinic accepted. After months and not many patients using the website, we looked online and saw that our information was all wrong. When I asked them to fix it and refund us the months that passed with the mistake they basically said it was likely our fault. Even though we had not touched the darn thing since we set it up. All in all, we had a terrible experience with this company. Solid idea badly executed. I'm sure it might work for some but we had nothing but disappointment.
I was looking for a primary care doc and zocdoc sent me to an urgent care clinic. This was a total waste of time for me and the doctor. They did refer me to a good dentist. I took the time to enter all my mess and history into their site and now can't retrieve that info to give to another doc. Incidentally the dentist couldn't retrieve it either.
I've been saying for years that the doctors should have a central database for patients. I did this several months ago so I don't remember a lot of details. Most doctors have the same information form and it is such a time waster to have to fill it out every doctor you go to see. I enjoyed filling out the application. It was nice that I was able to it at home on my own time.
I found ZocDoc when I was searching for a MD on my phone. I downloaded the app and filled out my profile that took less than 5 minutes. It's fast and easy and I love being able to see when I can book an appointment rather than sitting on a phone with a receptionist trying to juggle my schedule to fit their schedule. On ZocDoc, I can take my time, book my appointment and rest assured that my visit is set and that they will take my insurance. It's truly revolutionary... I wish I thought of it first!
This is an excellent idea. It offers busy patients the opportunity to schedule a doctor visit when the doctors' office is closed. It allows patients to see the doctor, office, and read reviews. The doctor gets patients.
The site works by doctors paying a monthly fee in order to be listed.
As a provider I have received many appointments and can say ZocDoc gave me a marketing advantage that I would not have been able to get on my own. But there are many issues that have hurt my office.
1-When a patient signs up they don't always provide insurance information. When they show up you find out you can't see them. The patients become upset because no visit and the doctor loses an appointment slot. I made ZocDoc aware, they said patients are busy and don't always have their insurance on hand. I advised ZocDoc to make it required but they refused.
2. Difficulty reaching patients. Patient will provide what they want: email, cell, home phone, or nothing. It's not always easy to contact a patient and unfortunately this is a big problem. We all need to improve on this one.
3. Trophies. Trophies are awarded when the doctor performs according to ZocDoc standards. I found out today that I lost some of my trophies, because I canceled too many appointments. (Well that's because of #1 and #2) So now that I have lost these trophies my clinic schedule will not appear as available - now I'm being penalized. I asked ZocDoc since when is this the practice and they told me it's something new - change made 2 months ago- I was never informed.
4. I am a 5 star provider on ZocDoc: Feels good but ZocDoc didn't make me a 5 star it's how we do business and care for our patients.
5. There are some many other issues but bottom line ZocDoc should improve their product, listen to doctor and patient feedback.
ZocDoc you are not 5 stars... By the way- I feel so strongly about ZocDoc that it made me search internet for reviews. This is my first online review ever.
It had all the info I needed on doctors I saw recently. I was able to see if a doctor accepted my insurance, and was able to set up appointments. I was even able to see patient reviews of the doctors.
I found a doc thru zocdoc for the first time. Reviews were great for this doc. Office staff was less than professional, messed up my appointment time and when I arrived they said someone cancelled the appt. And they did not show I should be there when I arrived but they called me 15 min. Before my appt. To see if I was on my way. I told them I was there and they continued to say I don't have an appt. But I told them I was there. Then when I arrive and was not satisfised due to the mis-communication in their staff I asked for the signed form I gave them for transfer of medical records. The lady told me they will just put it in my file and they will not submit it unless I ask them to do so later. They submitted it shortly after I left the office and I received a bill from a company that transferred my records from my other doctors office. When I called them to ask about it they acted like they did not know what I was talking about. Jennifer said she did not show they requested it and continued to act as if I was confused, even when I explained Kim from that office submitted the form. I had to call for the next two weeks to ask about if the records showed up there. Each time I called they acted as is I were confused or stupid. I finally called one day and reached Kim and asked if they received my records. She said yes and I could come pick them up anytime but they could not mail them to me. So I drove an hour to pick up the records that they said they would not request transfer of. Geeeesh. I am glad to be done with them!

To be able to book an online appointment and see the options is truly priceless. In addition, when I arrived at my appointment all I had to do was sign the forms.
My first, last, and only experience using ZocDoc was a total disaster. I made the appointment with my PCP on the system, arranged my schedule around the appointment, then was told by the doctor's staff at the very last minute (40 min before the appointment) that I made an error in setting up the appointment, since it required more time than ZocDoc had allocated. This wasn't MY error, it was your lousy system.
Even the staff at the doctor's office commented on how problematic ZocDoc is.
Your system sucks. Your offer of an Amazon gift card does not change my opinion of your system, or my intent never to use it again.

Prompt response from zocdoc, easy appointment view and allows me to select available doctors at times that fit my schedule.
Short wait. Doctor paid attention to my questions and made sure all were answered to my satisfaction. Made some changes he felt would better serve me. Overall couldn't ask for a better visit.
It is great to remind me of my appointments and also to find great doctors for me to see and stay healthy.
Zoc Doc allowed me to find doctors near me that are in network with my insurance. When I got to the doctors offices I was already checked in and didn't have a long wait.
Answer: Hello Mark. Zocdoc offers a closed-loop review system that allows patients to share their experiences after being seen for an appointment booked on Zocdoc. These reviews can be found on each individual provider's Zocdoc profile. You can search for a provider at https://www.zocdoc.com/. Please let us know if we can help you find the care that you need or if there is a different set of reviews that you are trying to access at this time. You can reach our service team at (855)962-3621.
Answer: Hi Sandra, we hope that you were able to get the care that you were looking for. At Zocdoc, we are not able to offer any medical advice or guidance so we recommend you contact your doctor directly if you need to ever verify they will be able to provide the treatment you are looking for. Feel free to reach out to the Zocdoc team at (855) 962-3621 or [email protected] if there is anything we can do to help you find the care that you need.
Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
Answer: Hello Swetha. Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help you find a doctor and book an appointment right online. If you go to www.Zocdoc.com, you can search for doctors by specialty, location, and insurance. You'll be able to see a list of doctors and their availability. Once you select a doctor, you can choose the time that is best for you. Once you complete the booking process, the doctor will receive your appointment information and confirm your appointment via email. This is completely free for you as a patient. Please give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you need help with this or anything else!
Answer: Hi Amanda! That depends on the doctor's office! Every provider is different, so it would be best to get in touch with them about specific pricing information. Give us a call at 855-962-3621 if you have any other questions. In health, Mary M. Zocdoc Service Team
