The site is a great concept but fairly useless when the information about doctors' schedules and accepted insurances is out of date or incorrect. I realize this has a lot to do with the office, but I've had it happen twice where the office said they had submitted changes to ZocDoc but that they take months to process. The value of your service depends on the validity of the information and more needs to be done to make sure it is correct and easily updated by the doctors. I've submitted this complaint to ZocDoc customer service. Ii received a response email that said they were sorry for my trouble, but didn't explain how it would be prevented in the future.
I made a gynecological appointment with a doctor whom got great reviews on the site the most and only thing people complained about was the fact that there was a weird smell inside the office. It was Chinatown so to me a weird smell was to be expected my only problem with ZocDoc was the fact that the doctor that I booked an appointment with does not work or is not there on Fridays and Saturday I'm not sure if they were unaware of this and forgot to mention it but if I wasn't in desperate need of birth control I would've walked out instead of staying. I made an appointment expecting someone who got great reviews yet I end with some unknown I had no idea what to expect but I'm glad I decided to stay because the midwife was absolutely great and so attentive. So my only recommendation for the ZocDoc team is to maintain communication and be aware of specifics such as this with these practice.

Lots of docs, information, and ratings. Easy to make appts.
A caveat: Always call for insurance information, which changes. Also, some addresses and phone numbers may not be up to date.
ZocDoc is an extremely convenient and effective way of scheduling and managing appointments, and it can't be emphasized enough that they go to great lengths to ensure the satisfaction of their users. Would rate 6 stars if I could.
I love zoc doc. I can get an appt on the weekend without having to wait until the offices open on Monday. So easy, and great choices of physicians
This year was very painfull with ZocDoc, every time I booked an appointment on ZocDoc, the doctor's offices called me later to change the appointments. It happened many times in the past 12 month, I'm fed up, I prefer don't use Zocdoc anymore...

It has been a vital tool in finding a great Dr. I found my PCP thanks to Zoc Doc!
I have used Zocdoc for a few years now at him in FLorida and found it to be a great site to look for a new MD. In the area. Just came up to NYC and need an ophthalmologist for an emergency on a Friday in the summer. Needless to say found a great doc who had weekend hours and was so caring and concerned.
I have used the ZocDoc service for making appointments, rescheduling, and locating good doctors in the areas I need. It is a good and useful service.
Have used this service twice. Both times it was not during regular office hours. And both times I received a call back from the physician's office the next business day. I found this to be a reliable service to use. Got appointments with 2 different physicians, both in a very timely manner. Both practitioners were competent and likeable. Absolutely loved the dermatologist and his office staff.
I asked ZocDoc to give the a family Doctor name that was in the network of Humana PPO for Baytown, TX. And they sent me to Houston, TX not Baytown. I also asked for one close to us in Crosby, TX still sent me to Houston, TX. I had to find a Doctor myself.
Loved being able to read reviews of Doctors from actual patients.
So easy to book an appointment online..

Would be better if you could search doctors by hours- for instance being able to sort which dr's are open Saturdays

Good site. But their insurance information is very wrong most of the time. I cant tell how many times i have looked for a doctor and put in my plan, and it gives me a doctor that only has out of network with that plan. Zocdoc should only show doctors in network, and keep insurance information up to date.
