A lot better than calling on the phone to make an appointment. I have called and have been told that there are no appointments available. Right away I have been able to book thru this site without wasting time.
I think that it's a great idea however insurances offer almost the same services. This app did not have Doctors in my area(San Antonio, TX). The app referred me to Austin, TX. So it was no use to me. It needs to be more established. I would assume Dr's would want to be listed but they don't even care about their current patients. Having a debilitating illness and having to work through Dr; s is a death sentence. I'm surprised there isn't anymore backlash about them not catching it in time. They would rather push pills and kick you out of the office in 15 minute intervals than find the problem so why would they take the time to do a courtesy and sign up at ZocDoc and make it easier for us?
I love zoc doc with a passion! It has made scheduling doctors appointments an easy breezy convienant pleasure! As opposed to, spending countless frustrating hours wasted while trying to negotiate an appointment with a doctors receptionist-this after waiting on hold, and going through the press 1,2, Ect. To lispeak with a human. I especially love being able to simply click my doctors available appointments, and book an appointment that is convienant for me. And I can do this any time, day or night, and weekends! I love zoc doc!
I have used ZocDoc a number of times. I love the convenience of scheduling or rescheduling appts. Without having to call into a doctors office where I am often placed on hold. The doctors I have found have been awesome!
It is very convenient to be able to jump online and schedule. There are dates and times in front of you and you don't have to deal with office staff giving you dates and times. However, a major downside is the fact that the dates available do not go far enough out to be helpful. In mid-December I attempted to make an appointment for mid-February. No dice. Dates on Zoc Doc were only through mid-January. Had to phone in for an appointment.

I had a Doctor named Viplov Mehta. He was my primary Doctor. I always asked to see my own Doctor but he never bothered to see me and I finally ended up in the hospital.
It is sad some Doctors can't take care other people health. No wonder most people is dying so quickly.

I have United Health Care and what I've experienced is that I can search for a doctor that accepts UHC insurance but the problem that I have run into is that most of the doctors are classified "out-of-network" so my co-insurance payment is higher.
It would be great if ZocDoc could add this feature to their search so you can tell if a doctor is "in-network" or "out-of-network" for your insurance provider.

I have made and changed many appointments via ZocDoc and it has made my life so much easier! I stopped wasting precious time and energy (not to mention frustration) trying to reach doctors' offices in vain getting an answering service that says to call back during hours the staff is there when I AM calling during normal business hours! ZocDoc is easy, convenient and works. I ask every doctor I go to to ask that they use it.
I had an appointment with a doctor that I made through ZocDoc online. I went to the Doctor's office at the scheduled time (I even had a confirmation that morning of the appointment) and the office was locked and no one was there. I waited 20 minutes and no one ever showed up. I phoned ZocDoc and spoke with Rachel, who was entirely sympathetic and extremely professional in her response. She offered all the assistance that she was able to and even sent me an Amazon Gift Card for my troubles. This bad experience was in no way the fault of ZocDoc, and I will continue to schedule my appointment through this site in the future. (certainly not with that doctor though!)
On or about November 15,2015 I was turned away from service by a provider listed in the Healthfirst Online Provider Services Manual as an approved healthcare provider.
The aborted visit to Dr. Coscia's office was caused primarily by a lack of
Communication by his staff with me prior to my visiting his office in
Lynbrook. I had taken the time to pre-register online through your service
And provided them with all of my insurance information. It was only after

Provider. I called Healthfirst from their lobby and was informed that a new
Number had been assigned to me because I had attain ed the age of 65 and it
Caused a change in my status with them. It turns out that Dr. Coscia is not
A network provider under my current plan with Healthfirst (... even
Though I got his name from their website) and had he seen me it would have
Caused significant billing issues. In addition, had I actually been able to
Use his services I would have had to wait until December 3rd or 4th for the
Next available appointment.
I was able through your services to book an appointment for the following day with a
Dentist who actually is in my network even though it required me to travel
Significantly further. I bear no ill will toward Dr. Coscia's office but
Simply wish that they had communicated with me sooner rather than waiting
For me to show up at their office and refuse me service.

I needed a local dermatologist and found an excellent choice using ZocDoc. Dr Potter was very pleasant, yet professional, and resolved my problem in one visit. Removed a growth, had it biopsied and all is well
I went through ZocDoc to reschedule an appointment with my doctor, ZocDoc sent me a confirmation of the change. The day before the original appointment date, my doctor called to confirm my appointment the following day. I told them that I had rescheduled through ZocDoc and sent them a copy of the confirmation. They had no record of the change and the appointment time ZocDoc told me was confirmed was not available at all! Really messed me up, not happy!

The wait time is accurate for the first visit, the future visits' wait time is usually a little bit longer. Also zocdoc didn't provide enough information for a dr. that I saw, eg. Didn't inform me that the office was in the dr.'s home, which made me feel really uncomfortable. But the other dr.'s that I saw were great.

Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
