Disliked · Room to small. No refrigerator in room, NO ICE MAKER in our building had to go to main building, Insects (spiders counted 5}, toilet did not flush to remove waste properly, not enough towels, mold starting on shelves in the bathroom, paint peeling from moister in the bathroom, furniture scratched, curtains had cigarette burn holes, balcony (walkway) to room DIRTY and puddles of water in front of our door for three days, the entire building had mold running down walls and hasn't been washed or power wash in months, light bulbs out and wall fixtures broken. The mattress had a gulley in it so you rolled to the middle, and the STREET NOISE on our side (the rear of the building) kept us up ALL NIGHT... THE ENTIRE LOWER BUILDS WHERE WE STAYED WAS HORRIBLE AND THE WORSE I'VE EVER STAYED IN,, LIKE A WELFARE DUMP HOTEL
Then trying to deal with customer service after the stay was a nightmare,,,, this is no customer service for complaints... nobody cared
A ladies named Joni ask me and my cousin if we were arcade players and so she said wait here and when she came back with 45 arcade cards so s special shout out to Joni.
We contacted LaQuinta in Terre Haute, IN, to learn of its COVID health measures and made a reservation for 29 October with that hotel. The staff incorrectly made the reservation for 29 September and when we did not show, charged us full price for the two rooms reserved on the wrong date. Management at the LaQuinta refused to reimburse for the charges and Wyndham - who must have the rudest help desk staff in the entire hotel industry - refused to help, saying it was a local hotel and they had no responsibility for it, then hung up the phone. So: (1) Don't make reservations with LaQuintas locally, if you have to use a LaQuinta; and (2) Don't use Wyndham hotels at all. They will not assist you if there is an issue with one of their hotels. Fortunately, Visa is taking care of the dispute.
We have been fighting this company tooth and nail for over a year. They barely respond. If you get to talk to someone that is unheard of, and they do not listen to a word you say. They gloss over your thoughts and experiences to make it seem like it was your fault or it didn't happen. We have only been able to rent it twice since 2018, but we have never used it. The amount of money we are paying you would think that we would be able to use it ourselves instead of renting it out. Nothing has been worth the stress and hassle this company offers. They will tell you just about anything to get you to dot the I's and dot the T's. They are sneaky and the high-pressure sales when you are on vacation don't help. Please stay away.
Their customer service is ridiculously bad. They scammed us into buying a timeshare contract and will not communicate when trying to exit the contract. WE WILL NOT BE PAYING YOU ALL ANYTHING!
My husband and I cruise yearly. We drive from Canada to Newark when we sail from New York. The Hotel Wydenham Gardens has a fabulous deal for those who dont fly. Stay one night and park for 2 weeks. The cost is very reasonable compared to parking in New York. We keep going back.
So I just called Wyndham to get a problem resolved and was told by a Wyndham representative that two different sales reps told me the same lie, two different times in two different states. To me, what is now a "lie" was policy when we were "lied" to. The rep I just spoke to said that even though we were told a lie multiple times, they no longer will honor what was lied to me like they did in the past. When I asked to speak to someone at a higher level, the Rep told me that there was nobody in the company above him - do you think I was talking Stephen P. Holmes, the CEO at Wyndham on a Sunday after noon? No. This was another Lie.
There are other situations that happened that did not work out the way the sales team presented it, so now - I really am sorry that I invested my vacations in Wyndham.
This downtrodden hotel has given us a wrong room and threw us out and called the police because we asked for one hour later checkout.
We have gone there 31 years and we are seniors and they have no respect for Seniors.
