Awesome, could not be happier.
May 3, 2024

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Absolutely fantastic in every way.
From the moment we walked into the showroom in Ayr we knew that we were in the right place for professional help. The ladies who greeted us as we walked in were friendly and had a desire to help.

We were then met with Colin McCluskie who provided great ideas and a professional attitude. We can say nothing but 5* service from Colin and his team.

When the day of install arrived David Malloy and his team showed up on time. They did a fabulous job of redoing the kitchen. The results are truly unbelievable. David takes craftsmanship to a new level.

We are so thrilled with Wren from beginning to end. We can't speak highly enough about them.

I am in the business in the USA and know the challenges that can arise. We were redoing my 87-year-old mum's kitchen and the team made it a breeze for her.

Thank you to the whole team!

Wren nightmare
April 24, 2024

I purchased a new kitchen 3 June 2023, kitchen showed up, work got started... then... it stopped, bits were missing- now here we are almost May 2024 its not finished, its not fully unusable. I have emailed them, called them, sent photos you name it. They run me in circles. Will not finish the kitchen, they will not fix the problem. They sent me shelving that weighs so much, the installer could not lift- they refuse to refund, or fix, I purchased other shelving myself, they have been there since November 2023... not up. The lighting is on the floor- not in usable condition,,, I must have literally 75+ of emails back and forward where they ask the same questions, I reply, then another person tells me to resend. There is concrete all over my ceiling, holes in my wall... freezer cannot open (I purchased from them also). I am now over it and will go on every web site, UK Govt to get this resolved. Shameful, dreadful company. They should be put out of business, so unsuspecting people like myself does not have to go through this!

Lots of Regrets
February 26, 2024
Previous review

Ordered an extra cabinet to house the boiler (£250). Cabinet arrived, not deep enough. Luckily, the fitter (Benjamin) managed to get around the problem. Now, I have just had to pay another £80 for a side panel for said boiler housing because apparently they were not aware that this was a cabinet which would not be attached to other cabinets (despite me sending in a number of photos of the boiler, clearly showing it as a stand-alone unit). I had the quartz worktop fitted yesterday (expensive) only to discover there is a gap between the wall and the end of the work-top. Strange how their "precision measuring and cutting" has left me with a 2mm gap at one end! I have sent an e-mail and photos through, let's see what excuse they come up with to justify it ("the walls must have moved since we measured it!). I'll make sure to keep you all posted on that one. Lots of regrets. Wren=1 star, Benjamin the fitter=5 stars.
Update to this: Just got a text this morning. The all important, over priced panel will take 2 weeks to get here! Where do they make them, the Gobi Desert?! Seriously, avoid at all costs.
Another update. Wren replied to my review with a cut and paste response. Why does Wren respond to negative reviews with a copy and paste response, requesting that the reviewer contact them. Here's an idea Wren, why don't you make the effort and contact the reviewer? You have our names on your database, actually do some work, rather than get the CUSTOMER to do all the running.

Wren sent me an e-mail: "am sorry to hear about the issues you are currently experiencing, I have checked over the images you have supplied and can see that the upstand follows the wall.
As your wall is slightly out there will be gaps we do have tolerance levels of around 6mm gaps for the upstands, if you feel they are less than this then please can you send me more images with a tape measurement.
Once I will be able to look in to this further for you to reach a resolve, if you need any further help please feel free to ask"

My response: "I am glad to hear that you have "tolerance levels", because my tolerance level with Wren has been well and truly exceeded. What exactly does "as your wall is slightly out" mean? When the surveyor visited, with his laser measuring devices, why did he not point out to me that the worktop would not be flush with the wall because my wall was "slightly out"?
All I know is that there is a gap between my super expensive worktop and the wall. What do you propose I do with the gap, put some masking tape over it?
To me, this gap is clearly obvious, but not as obvious a gap as between Wrens' polished sales blurb and the substandard reality of the finished product.
What happens now?"

Anybody reading this, think long and hard before making a major investment with Wren

We have an Infinity Plus range kitchen which is sold with a 25 year warranty. The kitchen is less than 4 years old. Unfortunately, one of our kitchen doors now has significant faded colour across the top/integrated handle part.
I have spoken to Wren customer services and sent photos. The response has been that this is 'fair wear and tear' and therefore not covered under the warranty. Whilst I appreciate the notion of wear and tear, it is difficult to accept in this case. This is the only door in the whole kitchen with an issue, and not a door that would be opened most regularly. The cutlery draw, which see more use, is perfectly fine. My assertion is that this door has a faulty paint issue, but Wren refuse to accept this. The only response from customer services is to sell a new door at cost. There is no criteria for how Wren assess 'fair wear and tear' which makes the outcome of any issues raised weighted in favour of Wren and is therefore not fair to the customer. I will ask the Ombudsman to review this situation.

Dreadful customer service
February 13, 2024

They designed our kitchen, therefore knew all the measurements, was told they could provide a quartz worktop. After signing for the kitchen, they then told us they couldn't supply a worktop long enough and would have to have additional joins. This was not what we wanted and tried to cancel the worktop. Their standard answer was 'you signed the contract so tough!' When pa£3600 for a worktop you don't expect multiple joins. Customer service was the worst I have ever experienced, not Interested as soon as they have your money. Go elsewhere

The quality of the kitchen is fine for what you pay for. The sales reps are not fully trained and I ended up spending a lot more money because they did not ask questions that would have been crucial to the design, that I as a lay person, would not have known to ask/share.

Installation was fine. Took two days - however, be aware that installation does not include cleanup, and there will be a lot of boxes, left over materials and trash, left for you to deal with. The fridge would not fit through my front door, so they took it back and said they would reach out within 48 hours. Two weeks later I had to call them to check on status. It should not be on me as a client paying over 20K to have to nudge them to do their job.

The major problems for me started with the quartz countertops. I was told at the salespoint that they would reach out once they got notice that the kitchen was installed so they can send someone to remeasure and that it would take about two weeks to get it installed. I had to call them a week later to ask about it, I had zero communication from Wren. Once they got a measuring date, they told me it would be an additional three weeks to get the countertops installed. I complained and the attitude I got was the equivalent of sucks to be you - meanwhile, I have a largely unusable kitchen sitting there. I asked to cancel the countertops so I can get something in quicker and that was not an option.

They finally sent some temporary countertops - they are too big, and once I call, they tell me that now that they are onsite they will send installers to cut - which was not at all communicated to me, as I would have declined. I have zero interest in having anymore dealings with Wren than necessary. Their customer service has a severe lack of communication skills - the experience would have been better with actual follow ups, full explanations, and appropriate expectation settings from the salespoint.

Customer service only works from 9-5p, monday through friday. The experience has been dreadful. Highly regret choosing them.

Run away from WREN!
January 18, 2024

I've been trying to get them to finish my utility room installation. After one year of emails, and £8000 fee for the installation alone plus another £1500 for the installer, they said the cabinets weren't in my drawings. Absolutely ridiculous! Please don't buy your kitchen from Wren. The worse company ever! Unprofessional installer! Bad quality materials.

Waste of time
January 13, 2024

Management is like a kindergarten where all kids are fighting for the "wand of power" without plans, clues or any idea how to handle an industry.
Production is always behind schedule due to machine break-downs, dust collector clogged, no trained operators and no professional maintenance technicians at all.
Quality is no more than a bunch of people trying to hide wooden panel imperfections with paint markers.
The HSE department is ruled by an inexperienced personnel who only care about everybody's hi-vi vest, but not about SOP, GMP, noise levels, dusty air quality, machine trainings, ergonomics...
Supervision does not exist, just some disrespectful and aggressive UK managers full of discrimination.
There's no communication either coordination between departments.
They're obviously lost, no business experience, not even common sense.
All employees are always complaining about missing overtime hours.

We had a Wren surveyor come out to measure up the room before we designed the utility room. Surprise surprise the measurements turned out to be incorrect. One of the units did not fit through the utility room door and another did not fit where it should without having to cut into the wall. –
Wren's reply to this " The surveyor is only there to measure up the room, not to make sure the units fit" - I am not joking.
" We send you a pre-fit pack to confirm that all the measurements are correct and that all units fit. If you do not do a pre-fit it is on you" -- again I am not joking.
Basically, you have to make sure their surveyor takes the correct measurements, so the role of the surveyor is as redundant as it gets. They refused any form of compensation and said this is my fault for failing to do a pre-fit! Amazing.

There is more...

The hinges supplied were incorrect, the carousel unit was not delivered, and they sent us a sink we never needed, and the delivery people refused to take it back. It then cost me money to have it taken by the council.

The "designers" as they called them, are completely useless on site, I am not entirely sure what is the criteria to be employed here but the bar cannot be too high.

I highly recommend staying away from the company.

They don't care
December 17, 2023

Wren Kitchens I would like to say a big thank you to your delivery guys for dropping my replacement oven and pretended like nothing has happened. My kitchen fitter saw it and when he confronted them, they totally denied it. Thank you for leaving me with a damaged oven.

A lady I also need to say thank you to is Vanessa at customer service. Your unwillingness to help customers when you are in the wrong is top notch. Thank you for trying your hardest to not give me a refund on the oven. When I reminded Vanessa they have breached the consumer act 2015, she immediately closed my case.

My advice for people who are looking to buy a wren kitchen is please go ahead and do it if you willing to fight with them over your rights. No point of going into the store where you purchased your kitchen as all they say is "there is nothing I can do, you will need to contact customer service". All round 10 out of 10 for their unwillingness to help their customers. All they want is your money.

AVOID WREN POOR QUALITY
December 14, 2023

Avoid Wren Kitchens - Poor Quality and Customer Service

I bought a kitchen from Wren four years ago, and it was a huge mistake. The cupboards are bubbling and peeling off, even though they have a 20-year guarantee. My dream kitchen is ruined, and I'm devastated.

Wren offered to replace the doors, but they don't have the same design anymore. My kitchen was a classic Edwardian design, and they only have a basic shaker design as an alternative. I asked for a Georgian design, which is similar to mine, but they refused. They said it's an Infinity Plus design, and mine was an Infinity design. They are just thinking about their profits, not their customers.

They sold me a faulty kitchen, and they are not willing to fix it properly. It's a disgrace. Save yourself the heartache, and don't buy their poor quality kitchen and customer service. They don't care about you.!

Glass kitchen door fell off after a month. Not the fitters fault but poor design by Wren as the hinges are pre-installed into the carcass. Had a problem with the fitting as Wren design got it wrong in placing the cupboard units which we had to rip out because they did not line up with the hob. Great showrooms and nice tea and biscuits but that's all. Could not recommend.

Buyer beware!
November 21, 2023

Buyer Beware. Big problems.
We have been trying to get our kitchen finished with nothing but mistake after mistake.
We have been overcharged and underserved.
The cabinets do not line up properly and we have had the installation team brought back three times so far.
We ordered our countertops through them which the cut incorrectly, lost our sink until finally getting it installed and leaving a mess.
We are currently disputing our bill for overcharges but are being locked out of our Wren account.
#BuyerBeware. It is a cheap company who makes up in savings with hassles. Look on Facebook at the true reviews!
