Mike you did good. The Saturn fire pit you picked is made from sheets of steel that are 1/4" thick. A fire pit like that is not only a great place to create memories, it's heirloom quality and it will last a lifetime and then some.

I needed fireplace doors that were overlap fit on the sides, and inside fit on the top and bottom. I could not find many manufacturers that could produce attractive doors to my specs. WoodlandDirect made perfect doors that look fabulous. I was a little concerned about the hinged glass doors, and the level of quality and craftsmanship that could be achieved with such a design. But I am very impressed, they are ridged, thick, and work beautifully. Easy install too. I installed two doors on a double sided fire place in 1 hour.

I shopped on Amazon and online for firewood brackets, and ordered three different sets for comparison. The Woodland Direct brackets are by far the most expensive, but they are also heavier and better made. I built my rack and am happy with the results. Now we will see how the finish holds up to coastal air... Made in China, like all the rest.

We love the look of if the fire pit, but I wish there would have been information about the rust dust in the unit and how it stains everything that comes in contact with it and if it gets wet the rust comes off and stains the deck/concrete.

Once fully weathered, the surface becomes much more stable and stops shedding rust. However, staining of surrounding surfaces is an expected and permanent characteristic of this material, especially during the early phases.

Original fireplace log was broken in shipment. Replacement log was very badly painted, totally unrealistic at the saw cut. I need another replacement.
