I had purchased a book from them earlier in the year, described as Very Good and it was, no burred edges or creases and bright white pages, it looked almost like New.
So I was encouraged to 'go again' and more recently bought another one similarly described (all the books of the title I was after were described as Very Good) but that came with the pages very browned, with lots of the text underlined and highlighted.
It was quite easy to contact WoB to raise this and told them it was only fit for the bin (really...I could not take to a charity bookshop)...see photos. They did resolve it quite well & quickly in that another one in much better condition soon arrived (although I still would barely call it very good, with pages browning) so this has now made me wary of ordering from them again.

The Evening Standard Crossword Book (advertised as good condition) was dirty had been used and had a 50p price on the front. I paid £3.49. I contacted customer services including photographs. I am still waiting for a response after our online chat. Not happy.

1 book out of 4 delivered. As the tracking number for royal mail states delivered and according to WOB all 4 books were on the same tracking number I am having trouble getting this through to them. The chatbot is useless and customer services just say the order has been delivered

A big hunt had been in action for some years to hunt down a book published in 1945, written by my mother's cousin (An Australian War Correspondent in China and London prior to and the beginnings of Communism in China, the Japanese Invasion and during WWII. The book has not been republished in many a year. WOB has been been my No1 source to occasionally check in the hope of a second hand book appearing. Miracles happen…it was there, I couldn't believe my eyes. Bought instantly, delivered within 2/3 days. Well packed as always and hardback in very good/excellent condition. Thank you WOB. You always come up with the goods. My mind is at peace now and I will be delving into the book to learn a lot of the history prior to and beginning of Communism in China.

Disclaimer - This is not about a specific delivery but rather a general opinion based on many purchases over a two-year period.
With WOB it's really a hit or miss kind of game and to their credit they hit more than they miss. However, a good 30% of the time there's a problem with the order and that's a little high.
DVDs almost always come with damaged cases - literally to the point where the pieces fall out when you open the package.
Books will sometimes arrive damaged and it's obvious it's due to poor shipping and packing. Other times though, the book is not necessarily damaged but definitely in a condition other than advertised. For example, you receive an "acceptable/ good" condition instead of the "very good" condition you ordered.
Also to their credit, WOB is fairly good at replacing damaged items although sometimes you will have to go through multiple customer service reps to receive proper service.
I keep coming back to WOB because most of the books I receive are of decent quality. The low prices don't hurt either. As for the destroyed DVD cases... I can just keep the discs in a DVD wallet. So, 3.2 stars.

As always, I'm delighted with the variety of books on offer. The quality of them are always good. I am a book geek & I prefer my reference books completely unmarked, but what marks there are on these books are minimal. The prices are always good. I have a few titles I wish to sell back, from other shops in the past, that I am looking into. Unfortunately my books arrived in bags, not a box so I was unable to reuse the bag to send my titles back in.

They don't indicate whether the book you're purchasing is a hardcover or a paperback edition.
The two books I ordered were at least "good" condition; yet the cover of one was completely creased in half! Was it sent out like that or was the damage due to the really POOR packaging? The 2 books were put in an envelope that was then sealed without the books being cinched up tightly so they just shifted around in the envelope and maybe THAT is what creased the cover in half.
Their shipping is quick and the titles were the ones I ordered.
Would I buy from them again? Probably not with the availability of other used book sites.
