I had unlimited searches under Whitepages/premium for around $9.95 a month going back 7 years. Then I lost my email account and needed to update the email. The account went unpaid due to an expired credit card and the messages were going to the defunct email. So when they shut me off completely and I tried to get it straightened out they would not reinstate my old plan and said I had to go with the new plan. I got a deal on a different people search software that gives a lot more information.

I never would have used the searches the way I had if it had been presented that it was only good for 20 searches. I was looking for people for a class reunion and at first was verifying what I already found elsewhere. Ran out of 20 searches in the first day (of course) and was offered another 80 for another $22. What a scam! WHITEPAGES: Be clear what you are selling and people won't feel ripped off! Everything I found was available free through other sites.

Over the past decade I have contacted White Pages multiple times to remove my personal information off their website. They are offering my cellular number, address, employment, and information on my family members to sale to the public. Although much of the information White Pages has is old, outdated and no longer accurate, some of their information is accurate and it places me and my family members in jeopardy. I have been the victim of fraud. Someone used an old address found on an online broker such as White Pages to file my taxes. I had to submit a Fraud Affidavit to the IRS. I also have law enforcement in my family who are close relations and white pages continues to list their information alongside mine as well. Every time I have contacted White Pages they have removed the information but they soon after repost it again. The fact that White Pages continue to Repost information they know is inaccurate, after removing it, violates the Deceptive Trade Practices act of my State because White Pages continues to act in bad faith and act deceptively. White Pages also demands a cellular number which they make the person affirm 'belongs to them' to submit the removal request even though on their site they SELL the cellular number of the individual. I have gotten hip to this and I download temporary one time use numbers to communicate with white pages by. I also use a temporary address and email. I want White Pages to stop aiding and abetting scammers by providing them with easy access to highly sensitive personal information on individuals. I also want White Pages to remove my information for forever.

One of their scams
December 10, 2022

One way in which WP plays you is that, if you're monitoring someone, they'll send you an email notification claiming that something changed. When you pay the $20 for a new report to see what changed, sometimes nothing has, namely, no fields will be highlighted that show a change. The alert was just to pull in a few more bucks.
Another ploy is that a search on the person you just bought a report for won't turn up the report. You're asked to pay again, though you had just bought the report.
Also, that traffic and criminal are lumped together could make alerts seem more dramatic than they are. A seatbelt violation from 10 years ago triggers the same alert message as a recent assault.
I can't speak to other information, but it can take years for the current address field to actually become current.

It's only useful if you're researching somebody who
(a) is still living where they were living 30+ years ago
(b) has not changed their name or gained new relatives in that time, and
(c) still has the same landline phone number and it was never unlisted.

But if it's anybody else, beware.
If the address info is correct, it's hidden inside several details of addressess that are represented as current even though the person left long years ago... if they ever did live there at all.
If the phone number is correct, there are several phone numbers that are represented as current even though they are not.
"Relatives" will include anybody who might have lived there at some point in the past, or who they think might possibly have been related to them because they lived at another address that the person might have lived at before.
People who died years ago are still listed as though they are alive and related to the person, even though they really are not alive and were never related anyway.

There are other reasons why it's not such a great idea. One is that there are other ways of finding out details that don't require you to spend a cent. Of course I discovered this after I paid $30 for one year subscription. I let the membership lapse a couple years ago because of all the above...

Two days later, fearing that without telling me they would renew every month, I went to their site to cancel. No matter what I entered, they said I was unable to cancel and had to go to another one of their websites. Though I wrote on this second website that I want to cancel, there was no confirmation or indication that they would not renew automatically. Avoid this dishonest, predatory company. They are scum.

They compile and publish sensitive personal information without permission, thereby endangering innocent people. They should be sued. They have put me and my family in immediate danger multiple times and are aware of what they're doing. They graciously provide what they refer to as an 'opt out' then turn right around and recompile and republish everything again. They are unscrupulous and they need to be stopped before they cause the death of unaware innocent people.

I paid for the premium, only to find the phone #'s and addresses highlighted as 'new' are old, inaccurate information. When I first started using whitepages, it was helpful and for the most part, accurate. Not any more. And if you don't buy premium, everything is grayed out... it won't give you any information, like it did in the past. I search the same person frequently, because of an arrest warrant, an we have to keep on top of where she moves; which is every 6 months or so. It no longer helps us out.

Was Good Now? Terrible
July 23, 2022

I've been a white pages customer for over 15 years. They used to Great!
I mean beyond great! They used to tell you if an address was a vacant property etc. search for 10 phone numbers. 8 searches will say "no name associated with your search " " would you like to search as a business"? Wtf? ALL YOUR Competitors have answers to the same search white pages says " No name " " would you like to search again as a business ". Plus the app should be as good as the website. It's not! Customer service says the app is designed to be a quick lookup etc. well no one wants to get NOTHING as an answer on the appl just to have to Now go to the site to get any answers that white pages may have? Which I can already tell you is nothing I'm very disappointed

Minus 10
July 19, 2022

This is the biggest set of thieves imaginable! In app purchases took my hard earn money and provide no service. There is no way to give feedback nor contact them. Feedback in the app does not work, and they ignore my emails. When I try to cancel, their site instructs cancelation in the app, and again that does not work either. I had to endure these thieves taking monthly fees for nearly a year, without providing any service. I had to get my bank involved. I have also lost money on purchases for services I never received. These thieves also does not allow reviews in Google Play. That tells you that they have zero interest in improving their service or customer satisfaction. Run, don't walk, away from these thieves!

I wish you can rate this 0 stars. I'd do anything to get this site shut down. It DOES NOT show their current phone number now I can't get in touch with an ex friend. I should've read the reviews first and they charge your account again. I'll never lose my money for this site AGAIN!

Do not use this website. They charge a monthly fee but you don't have access to any reports or it takes you to another website you have to pay for.

Wrong number
June 15, 2022

I've had my cell phone number for at least a decade. White Pages lists this number to a man who is selling real estate. So I get phone calls at all hours from people wanting to buy his listings. White Pages claims their info is correct & refuses to make needed changes. White Pages also has me listed as having lived in cities I've never lived in or even visited.
Because of this I don't trust any info listed on White Pages.

I paid today to see if I could see a property report and I'm considered a premium member as a premium member it says I should be able to view everything but I can't and I got an alert in my email saying that there was an updated cell phone number for this person and all it is is one digit off from his one that's correct this site is absolute bunk it doesn't say and do what it says it's going to do you have to pay more no matter if you're a premium member or not they want 20 more bucks just to see someone's property? I thought premium member meant all access like it says but it is absolutely inaccurate. What a bunch of crooks.
