They sent me a fraudulent check and never apologized!
They sent me a check as a refund for a lost money order, which took about 1.5 months to deliver, and yet the check was fraudulent! After lots of hassle and calling back and forth, they issued another check without the driest apology, saying it would take another 2 to 3 weeks to deliver!

My Western Union money orders were lost by the USPS post office in November 2021. I have been trying to request a refund for 6 months already and still did not get it! They asked for copies, proof of address, then the address of the pharmacy I bought them at, then the lease agreement the money orders were supposed to pay, and all of these documents were sent, and still 6 MONTH LATER I keep getting answers: request is not complete! What the hell is going on there?
Their system made an error and created two transfers when I cancel the one that was their fault, they wouldn't refund the fee. VERY CHEAP attempt to make money and rep said, there is nothing they can do and it is unethical to me. WROST SERVICE EVER. I will never use their service again!
I used Western Union for almost 20 years so when I started sending money to family and friends they stopped me, and asked for verification. I send my information as they already had my driver's license, dob, address and banking information. They canceled my transfer and demanded information about my job, how much I make my country of birth detailed information about all I've sent money to. And when I asked the reason for all the information they demanded their response was "we cannot disclose it." Should we be fearful about companies like Western Union? Please share your comments.
I never sent money in RS so far from any services. I used Western Union service. This is the first experience of using a service, as I closed my NRI account. After sending the money, one representative asked me some questions and within 1 hour money was already received by the receipient.
Western Unión worse Company I would of give them ZERO STAR, THEY ALLOWED MY ACCOUNT TO GET HACKED BY 3 UNAUTHORIZED TRANSFERS TO MEXICO AND STILL HAVE THE NERVES TO SAY TO CALL MY BANK FOR REIMBURSEMENT, PLEASE DONT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM THEY WILL SCAM YOUR FUNDS AND DONT PROTECT YOUR BANK INFORMATION!
Western union is the worst company ever. I can't believe I called 3 times they hang up on my face. I will never use that services anymore. Hope they shut it down. For my own money they disrespected me. Bad company ever.

Western union stop sending money online to overseas to my relatives a few month ago. I keep calling their customer service to find out why? But no only they are bunch rude people from Pakistan, they have no clue what could be the issue for declining my transfer. I wish I could give them less than one star.

Recently my western union app was hacked and $5000 were transferred to some account, which was not done by me. I called WesternUnion people and they simply just said we cannot do anything only bank can help you with it.
Western union people has all the information of the account number and that hackers information still they are not taking any action. I am a regular user of WesternUnion and facing this problem, at least you guys should help in some way, by canceling the process.

I have been trying to send money to India and Pakistan for almost a week and kept getting a technical difficulty message and customer support were totally useless in helping and they cannot connect you to technical support. The service at WU continues to get worse day by day. Totally hopeless organization. They take more than 48 hours to respond to emails.
I have my grand daughter for spring break. The first day we went fishing and someone broke into my truck and stole my wallet. My friend has tried to send me money for 4 days and every day y'all have invented a new reason why I can't have my money and given different instructions than the day before. We are sleeping in my truck and have not eaten for 3 days because of y'all's incompitance. I don't understand how anyone can be so cruel. All I can do is sit here and cry in hopelessness. Why do this to me.
I called Western Union on February 7,2022. To ask a question on about to make sure that I filled out the form correctly before taking it to the Notary Office. The Latino male just said, "Just notarized both front and back". I was like wait a minute. He didn't understand what I asked. I repeated the same question slowly hoping that he will understand. He repeated the same answer, "Just notarized both front and back". I asked, you mean I should notarize both back and front of the form. There's nothing that says, notarized the front. It says, fill out and sign. He repeated the same statement "Just notarized both front and back". I just said, thank you and he hung up the phone.
They hired Employees, they can't speak English very well and don't know how to answer questions that Customers ask over the phone. They hung up on Customers because they are frustrated, don't understand the questions that are being asked, and at the same time, given the Western Union a bad reputation because the Company has failed to make arrangements for these Employees to English classes, so that can learn how to speak properly, and answer questions at a professional level.
Solution: Find an ESL Program for these Employees and pay the Fees for them to English Classes twice to improve their General and Business English skills. There's no excuse for them to messing up over the phone. Telling these Employees what to say over the phone, like that Latino man who "just notarized both front and both" is just rehearsing a statement to use over the phone for the day. That's not speaking English, because at the end of day. That employee didn't really help customers over the phone. Western Union is paying Employees to repeat statements that they don't know it means and they are not learning the language.
Do not ever lose or get your money order stolen because youll never see the money again... they will give you the run around until your money order is cashed in. And then give you the run around about how to handle the forgery... i used western union to pay my rent to avoid a $30 convenience fee but from now on id rather pay the fee then to lose $800 dealing with western union. They will never receive my money again
They use to be principled many years ago. But they have become ghastly and appalling. I could not send funds for a month because of incompetent agents who could not fix a footling with the account. 10 agents who could not solve a petty issue. Instead they sprawl in lies and false promises. The WU mobile application is inefficacious. It is slower that a turtles posterior and freezes more than the Oymyakon. In the end they could not help me after using their services for 10 years. They did not re-fund my 1,019 points either. Don't use western useless.
I HAVE TO SEND THE MONEY TO THAILAND TO MY FRIEND ON 24 FEB, 2022. AFTER I SEND THE MONEY I SAW AN ONLINE EXCHANGE WAS THB 32.51 BUT THEY GAVE ME 28.0408. MY FRIEND ALREADY PICKED THE MONEY AND HE TOLD ME THE EXCHANGE RATE WAS TOO LOW. I CALLED THE CUSTOMER CARE THE GUY WAS TOO RUDE AND TOLD ME THAT WAS THE CORRECT RATE AND HE CAN NOT DO ANYTHING. I TOLD HIM I WILL NEVER USE WESTERN UNION. HE SAID THAT FINE DO NOT USE IT. I RECCOMEND NEVER USE WESTEN UNION. USE MONEY GRAM AND OTHER COMPANIES LIKE REMITLY.
