I've sent a transfer from western union through my brother's bank account since June 28 2022. Western union sent me text "the transfert has been processed with expected delivery by July 07 2022"My brother went to his bank to check the transfer four times after July 7.The bank said that Western union is not associate with Western Union. I have called Western Union, the agents have driven me crazy. I will never ever take service from this money service and I will make sure my whole member of family do the same thing.
Very bad service, you have to go back and change the misspell the country that receives the money not allowed a single mis typed... more than twice my name was misspelled at money gram and the reciever get to collect it and I don't have to change it... please look into this we don't have times n gas to waste
Sent funds to Jamsica and the recipient was asked to present 2 ID. Unable to do so within a few weeks funds were returned to the sender. Sender went and collected the funds and was barred by WU from using their services. Thank God for Money gram

Customers Service didn't even care about my issues. They only answered with standard phrases. Even a complaint was not processed, but ignored. Promised callbacks were not made. NEVER AGAIN WESTERN UNION. Unbelivable.

This is embarrassing when you trying to send money to someone they put you on hold every time and once you call them they will tell you that you are block via system you cant use it anymore one of the worse rates I ever got its not just I cant use it but this unbelievable for no reason they block you and not even think once to inform you about it. I condom to use this app the policy is unbelievable.
Bad experience when you find out that an international company like western union doesn't inform the client about extra 2% fees on top of the fees that we pay.

I tried to use this service for years. Every since I moved to Oahu, Hawaii when money transfers are most important, these bots are GARBAGE! They are crooks. You send money and they lie with horrible customer service. You can't understand the customer service agents when you call in. If you send money, then of course it's urgent! They lie, say service is not up for years. TrashBags!
They used to have a good service. Not anymore. I spent half an hour on the phone over a $200 transfer to my fiancée. When they said it was approved, my fiancée mentioned that she was not able to pick up the monies, because of some issue. I called Western union again and they mentioned that I've reached my daily limit. What, over $200? So what happened, they said now i have to wait over 7 days to get my monies back. Why are they stealing my monies to use it for their needs for 7 days? Plus, my fiancée relied on that monies and then she will be starving for the entire day until I find some other means. Western union should be prohibited from use. They will steal your monies!
They short your money. They will get your bank account shut down and their customer service suck. Don't use them.
I have been using western union (WU) to send money to friends and family whenever their names don't match their ID, WU wouldn't give them the money. January 2022 they deposited $500 to the wrong bank account # which the name didn't match, 6 months later I still can't get my money back. How did you release a transaction when the bank account # didn't match with the receiver name? Shouldn't it be the same process when someone is picking up the money? I would advise people to use other money transfer service instead of WU. In this economy this is too much money for me to lose.

I had money transferred from Florida to Indiana to purchase a tractor for my parents in Florida Western Union said the money would go through in minutes it took almost 30 hours of phone calls and arguing back and forth to finally get the money released Western Union threatened to confiscate the money because they thought it was fraud or theft never again will I use their service or recommend it to anyone terrible terrible business practices by these people terrible shameful they should be put out of business for threatening to confiscate in 80 year old woman's money disgusting terrible business practices go somewhere else if you want to transfer money do not use this service if it's any substantial amount of money they will do everything they can to rip you off this review requires I give them at least one star but they don't deserve that.
This is the first time I write a review about a company and service because Western Union has exceeded the limits of unprofessionalism, lack of proactivity and care about its clients. I haven't been able to transfer money since 2 months and I tried all channels possible to transfer to 2 countries in specific yet no action has been taken to solve the problem and worse than that no one knows how to track or how to report. The answer is just wait and no action been taken. I recommend that banks should take action and evaluate the service of their partners which is not acceptable and is affecting their image indirectly.
AVOID AVOID USING THEM! They rejected 3 payments that I was trying to send for only $200 and they just keep the money and getting the money back after they rejected is almost like going to hell, almost impossible unless you record them and you let them know that you are going to sue them, you will lose your money. This is extremely illegal they are using people's money for something else.
Thought I'd use this service - thought it would be fast. Nope. 6-7 days to wait to send money to myself. Should have just gone and opened a new bank account with a check (after my debit was cancelled due to fraud). Thought this would be faster and less of a hassle - hahahahahahah - still waiting with no money 5 days later - but of course it has been gone from my account for coming on 2 days - floating out in space while users (ie WU) make some interest. Enjoy the $9 and coins for your dying company. Wish I'd checked reviews first.
I have family and friends that uses y'all. I have not used y'all in 5 plus years and y'all to block me from using any services with y'all. Y'all are very petty for that and I'm not surprised at the fact that y'all have millions more of bad reviews coming your way. Transferred money by clicking on the name from a previous transaction assuming it would go to the same place (which it didn't)! Was still charged $19 fee for cancelling so it would go to the right place. Their fault for putting the name on there and not explaining it would go to a different place! Bunch of BS!
Very bad staff. They don't have Manners, how to talk with elders. They show their face like, They Don't wanna work. Today i visit WU, i am very depressd to see your staff and their way of talking with customers. I think you should change your staff and today i also visit Habib metro bank, amazing service they provide. Even They offer us tea. I think your staff should learnt from them, how to deal with a customer. I was my father when I visit Western Union. My father also don't like your service, they refused my complains by saying this. Beta, this is Pakistan. Everyone can do everything what he wanta.
