It's hard to have a relationship with a bank when you get a different person each time you visit. Since my husband and I do not have a mortgage we have never had to deal with a Bank Officer. I had decided to put a substantial amount of my funds in the Wells Fargo bank. We had been clients for over 20 years to this bank. They immediately pulled the funds from my Charles Schwab Account but still put a 14 day hold on my funds. I could not touch my own money. When I asked to talk to a bank President they gave me a (male) clerk. He was nasty to me. I have since moved my account to SunTrust Bank. They were WONDERFUL. They know how to treat people the right way! Yippee... for SunTrust Bank.

Only so so!
January 17, 2016

The bank is ok, day to day service better than B of A. But loans are mercenary with some hidden fees, and their investment services could be better! The latter is composed of a financial advisors that only work about 3 days a week (don't count on them on a Friday or a weekend) They write short articles prognosticating about what path they think the stock market and economy will take. They said China was doing fine just a few months before China had its worst drop ever. On two different periods they made bullish predictions about the U.S. market & encouraged more investment, right up to prolonged dramatic downturns! And contrary to what the rest of the analyst community was predicting. I trusted them, much to my dismay and monetary loss!
Don't trust this group... they call themselves "Wells Fargo Advisors" (I think they used to be Wachovia prior to being bought out by Wells Fargo)

We had a fire in a property we owned and as soon as we contacted them they seemed great. They met us at property, had a group of people from out of California but from Nevada to give us a quote to repair. Which I thought was strange. They also had them to board the property for us, at a cost of $600.00. We had a year to get repairs done but because that can said they could do it in 4 months they decided to start harassing us about repairing it. It burned in September and said it should be done by December. They sent us info on email and I couldn't open it, I let them know and ask for it to be mailed. They said ok. I waited for 3 weeks. No letter and check your start. I called and they said they would resent overnight but in case someone had it they had to stop payment on 1st check. Another 10 days. We finally received it but bank pit hold on it for 10 days. Now it end of Oct and they said it was no excuse to not start repairs. Who will work for free? So they closed our case. I claimed and they said they would open for a little while to get it fone. We had replacement insurance and they kept $20,000.00 dollars because we couldn't get repairs done event hough we had a year to do it it. I like our agents but the adjusters are very rude and go out of their way to lie, cheat and take the money that you pay for in insurance premiums.

Worst Ever!
January 2, 2016

The wells fargo branch in Torrance, CA on Rolling Hills Road, is horrible. They never help. They wouldn't know you if you came in every day. They have an obnoxious greeter like Walmart, but absolutely no customer service. They are like robots there. I WILL NEVER HAVE AN ACCOUNT AT WELLS FARGO EVER AGAIN.

Was told by the Sales Rep she could beat the rate of our then current processor. Our previous processor was averaging about 2.7% effective rate monthly, that's inclusive of all fees, charges, etc. The Wells Fargo Sales Rep quoted a rate of 2.2% plus a few small extra fees, but didn't mention ANYTHING about the interchange fees. And we sent her statements from our previous processor so she could do a competitive analysis. After we switched to Wells Fargo, the effective rate was 2.84% (first month), 5.15% (second month), and finally 7.99% (third and last month), before we finally cancelled. Took me over a month to reach the Sales Rep's supervisor (she would never call back) and her only way of an apology or explanation was saying the Sales Rep was new and would get more training. I would NEVER do business with Wells Fargo Merchant Services again and I'm looking and switching all my regular business banking as well.

Great Costumer Service
November 23, 2015

I was recently traveling and was unable to complete a transaction. So I stopped into a local branch and a very nice young lady greeted me at the door with a smile and then assisted me. I have fraud protection on my account and I had been making a bunch of random purchases along with coffee, food and gas in various points down the Northrrn, Central and Southern California coast. So when I verified it was me and those were my transactions they unlocked my account and I was on my way. Some people would think that this is a huge unconvince and waste of time, but I am always greeted by a warm smile and had my banking needs met with WFB. I have been a customer since 1990.

The loan department is appalling. After spending a hour on the phone with specific directions about my automatic loan payments, they still messed it up. The people DO NOT CARE, it is just a job and they get paid regardless of the POOR service. The quality assurance department does not care, the people in the branches do not care. When you get to be that big, no one notices the pathetic quality of service given... but everyone gets a pay check... IMAGINE THAT

Wells Fargo Banks sucks
September 23, 2015

Wells Fargo Bank loves to take your money so stop using the your better off using a debit card that you buy from Walmart. Wells Fargo will open an accout that's called an opportunity account but they will not really explain how it works. On this accout they will tell you that it's like a regular account but they don't tell you it has lots of fee and restrictions. 1. You can not deposit a check from phone 2. If you deposit a check from other banks they will hold it for a week and if you have pending transactions even if you deposited that check 2 days ago they will allow the transactions to be paid but then they will charge you a $35.00 Nonsufficient funds even though you had a deposit pending for two days. They will put a $500 limit per day on your card even if you have enough money in your account they will deny any transactions or purchases of that day. If you met your limit for the day and you have a transaction pending they will deny it and charge another $35 even though you have money in your account to cover that transaction for the day. When you go to the branch to any of the branches to get this resolved they won't talk to you the route to you and they dismiss you. The only way the cartoon make a big issue for all the other customers and they will try to help you.

I visit the closest WF branch yesterday to make a deposit. I expressed my concern that there were few branches and ATMs for use, resulting in charges at other banks. The teller was very empathized, and suggested ways to change my account to eliminate the ATM fees and she said she would elevate this to the local director. Sometime all it takes is one long tern client with a sizable portfolio to make a difference!

I've never had trouble with them other than their credit card monitoring of miserable online merchant accounts. You have to really be on your toes watching out for hackers, unauthorized purchases and make sure your reward points are being added up in a timely manner. I've got over 150 points that say, "pending" when they should be available as of a long time ago. Forget their way-2-save savings features... its the old shell game. Robbing Peter to pay Paul. You're both Peter and Paul.

They do not treat their longtime customers good. I, along with many of my friends and business associates who have been their customers for almost 20 years or more feel like they do not take care of us. It is very hard to grow your business if you are counting on Wells Fargo to support you along the way. Also, a lot of turnover so the Banker you were just starting to build a relationship ends up leaving before you really get anything accomplished.

They bully their customers. They harass customers buy calling every 30 seconds from 8 am-9pm and even do the same for the customers mobile phones. Their repayment programs refuse to assist customers by claiming they make too much money. If the customer makes too much money they would have their mortgages paid off!

Recently we have had a difficult experience with our son who has Autism and sometimes has bad judgment. I went to the Concord, CA branch for assistance and was referred to Personal Banker Bryan Flemming. He came up with a short term and a long term solution to our problem despite many obstacles. On at least three occasions he went out of his way to work through the system to help us, with the assistance of the branch manager. He did this with good humor, determination and professionalism.

The situation was very upsetting to me and Mr. Flemming's good natured assistance was very comforting. I feel like I now have a friend at the bank even though I was not acquainted with Mr. Flemming prior to last Friday
The level of service Mr. Flemming provided is game changing. It is the kind of service that grows a life time of loyalty to the bank.

In addition, I am in love with the new upgraded spending and budgeting functions online. I did all my year end numbers using these functions and they were easy to use and provided an incredible level of detail for tax planning.

I really like checking my account online with wellsfargo. I pay all my bills online through bill pay. I can also read my statements online. It is very easy to use and convenient. When I have had problems ordering services or products online that were not legit, wellsfargo got my money back. I have been very happy with this service.

The Wells Fargo online banking site has some serious problems that are not being addressed by the bank. I have a business account there and have been with the bank for over 20 years. When I went to view a deposit that had about 30 checks from my customers in it, the view wasn't available so it said to go to request copies. I did and then it only allows you to enter the deposit total, not ask for a specific check. Nothing is said about the cost. A week later my account was charged 340.00! I complained all the way up and after much time and many calls they refused to do anything about it. They said I should have "known". No one took me seriously. I am really appalled at how I was treated as a long time customer

I ve been their customer for close to 20 years now and most of the services are OK. Recently I joined their direct pay service (at a monthly and per transaction cost!) and cannot do any payments for 2 days now. They are "verifying" accounts of my payees who are also WFB (maybe the acronym should be WTF?) and who I have been doing business with for years as well. Lame lame lame! I wrote a message to them but forgot to "congratulate" their executives on multi-million $$ bonuses they get. Know any good banks I can switch over to? BTW a suggestion - maybe we should introduce negative stars on the other side of the zero rating?

I signed up with Wells Fargo and noticed I was getting allot of Charges and I knew I had been balancing my account correclty. I then started taking images of my statements online and matching them to the older dated ones (2 week difference) after getting more charges. I found that Wells Fargo was moving charges from an earlier date to a later date and this was happening very frequently. When I called them on it over the phone they said that is was in the fine print and that when I signed up with them I agreed to it. Fine print is a killer. Make sure you read this banks fine print. They are now in federal court after being found guilty with a mutli-billion dollar fine from a federal judge. Of course they are fighting it and claiming the customers wanted it that way. I would caution anybody to be aware of this bank. I did get part of the $700.00 plus dollars back but only a fraction. They kept the rest. I suggest going to a credit union if your are going to bank. My two cents...
