Since October 4 2021 I have spent 181 hours on the phone withe multiple Fraud Departments within WF, to try and resolve more than 30 instances of fraud across all my WF Accounts. In the end I realized that they are not able to resolve, or prevent fraud in a modern day cyber crime world. In the end WF turned against me and destroyed my credit rating, because I did not want to be held liable for funds stolen from my account. They submitted the address of one of the criminals to the credit bureaus as my primary residence.

I constantly Hage my card denied when I have a bank account full of money and then when I call I get nothing but computer voices and it's crazy hard to get a real person. When I do they say there's nothing they can do. I can't make a deposit with the app because they say the check it's to large so I have to go into the bang. The checks aren't that big. No matter how much money I have in my account I can't spend over 2k a day of my own damn money. They literally won't let me unless I go into the bank and pull the cash out. My divorce is finally finalized now so I can go back to frost bank. I'm pulling my money from this $#*! bank tomorrow. Please do yourself a favor and don't even give this bank a chance. They'll pass you off and not let you spend your own money

Because I am a long time customer who has navigated what the company offers for a variety of my needs, you may find what I have experienced to be helpful. Some Wells employees and departments have been golden, which is to say very helpful. It reflects well on the company. But others have wasted my time, manifesting either indifference or incompetence.

Wells' investment advisor has been very helpful, often in unexpected ways. Wells' retail bank tellers have been friendly and professional. Their branch supervisors (the bank managers' bosses) have been superb in taking care of pesky customer service issues - but they won't insert themselves between you and Wells' escalation folks (more about them coming up). So I suggest contacting a branch supervisor next, if the branch can't/won't help you. As for the bankers who sit at the desks inside the banks, they have sometimes been very helpful, but they've also sometimes failed to followthrough on commitments.

Next, Wells employees I found pretty useless. Remember, we all have off days - and the Great Recession and the pandemic played havoc with hiring and retaining experienced people. Your results may vary. BTW, I have never had a problem with the creation of fraudulent accounts.

Be all that as it may. I found Wells' corporate call center to be pointless. They were not empowered, nor were they inclined, to solve problems. And I got straight up bad information from them. I don't know why they exist. Like most businesses of any size, Wells also has a corporate customer service escalation department ("Executive Office Case Specialists,"). Unlike most businesses, Wells' escalation folks don't seem to have much discretion to fix stuff. I not only found them useless, but one of them didn't even deign to return calls.

Of course, you can always go to the top. I wrote separate letters to Wells' COO and CEO. Neither responded directly. Rather, they kicked the can down the road to the escalation people who, per above, did nothing.

Lastly, a word about my experience with one of their east coast mortgage writers. He sat on my application for a long time before rejecting it, really putting me in a time bind until my investment advisor came through with a great alternative. The mortgage guy rejected my application w/o realizing that retired people who no longer have a paycheck may qualify on the basis of their unencumbered securities.

Objective
February 3, 2022

I got my money stolen out of my card and so i filled a complain and called every 2 or 3 days to know updates about the case. They kept telling me about they were investigating the case & using the footage they had to know what happened. Past 10 days i called again to see what happened and i realize that the case is closed and i never got a message and neither something that advise me of anything in my account. When I'm speaking with the lady over the phone, she told me that the bank determined that there was nothing wrong haha and I'm like "what? So... The investigation and the answer is based on what? What are the reasons then?" And she answers me "we cannot tell the reasons for security reasons" hahaha i was like "so you cannot tell me the reasons why the bank is refusing to help me with the money, and simply summarize everything with a "there's nothing wrong" bro, these people couldn't even tell me in why they were rejecting haha. Terrible experience and i hope no one passed for this. DONT RECOMMEND THIS BANK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, better bank of America fr.

My mother had a scammer steal her credit card in October of 2020. We are still getting charges from Wells Fargo for cash advances and late fees after they told us they had corrected the problem. This is now affecting her credit score which is another fraud. You can't go inside a Wells Fargo Bank right now, and it takes anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half to get somebody on the phone. Then they always tell you they need to transfer you to someone else, and then that's another 45 minutes of your time. They're ultimate goal is to not give any customer service at all. We will be pulling my mother's money out of their Bank. Do not bank at Wells Fargo.

My family are longtime customers of WF (maybe 20 years?) and currently have a total of 17 several accounts with them for a substantial sum of money. After 16 years in business I closed a contracting business, and needed to close the associated checking/savings accounts.

Called in to commercial banking customer service to have that done and the account rep saw that there were some pending transactions for that day including an IRS ACH payment. He advised me he could schedule the account closures AFTER all pending transactions were cleared- great idea, right?

Turns out he either lied to me or didn't do it right because the accounts were closed that day and the pending transactions cancelled, including the IRS payment- which was returned for insufficient funds.

Called two days later to get the mess fixed and they said there was nothing they could do to help me- what was done by that account rep cannot be undone. I got an apology but no solution to my problem. A cashiers check for the amount of the cancelled transactions will be mailed to me within 15 days, but how do I get that money to the IRS now? I can't even deposit it into the closed account and send them a check?

Wells Fargo has become so big and bloated that they really have no ability to provide basic problem solving and good customer service. I would recommend you taking your commercial banking business elsewhere. Consider yourself warned!

If I could give zero stars I would ATM took my cash deposit and gave me. 01 credit! Now I have to wait for them up to 10 days to see what happened, mind you they balance the atm everyday! Ok so atm is over let's wait 10 days to figure this out! They aren't considerate if that was your only money, if your going negative, if you bills are late or utilities getting disconnected! You call and all they say is the team has 10 days to solve it mean while starve get credit tarnished, we don't care it's not me! Crazy because I am sure if it was their money they would have it already! DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! DONT DO IT GUYS!

Not for college students
January 22, 2022

Overall, every banker I have talked to was friendly and helped me with any issues. I believe, overall, if you are a college student or anyone who struggles financially during this stressful time I would not call this a great bank. They want your money and will charge you fees up the a#%. They don't care about college students and they pull money out of you so fast, you won't even see it's gone. As a college student during this pandemic, I have struggled and kept in contact with them to prevent anything from being taken out of my account. I have paid over $1000 in fees since covid started and they have done nothing to help me.

Hi for weeks I been calling Wells Fargo to report an incident(robbery). Nobody cared, they left me with no access to my money in a new state, no Wells Fargo branch anywhere near with a new born baby during the pandemic. Wells fargo doesn't care about anyone. Been with them for years. My best advice is to just go to BANK OF AMERICA

Wells Fargo is by far the worse mortgage company I have ever dealt with. We applied for a mortgage on May 25 and could never get it closed. By September 10 we were so sick of dealing with them, we finally went with another lender. The new lender got done in seven (yes, 7) days what WF could not do in almost 4 months. WF asked for the same documents repeatedly. They asked for documents on Friday at 4:50 and our loan was scheduled to close that following Monday. WF sent us a commitment letter dated August 20 that had an expiration date of August 15. Our first loan processor was so unresponsive we were assigned to another after one month. From the beginning, we made sure our new processor knew the schedule of selling our home and the purchase of the new home. We already had a closing date set, which was not met. In the end, we incurred expenses totaling almost $3,000 due to WF's inability to honor own mortgage request. We asked for reimbursement for these expenses and WF refused. This story goes on and on and on. I had been a customer of WF for almost 40 years, my husband, as well. We have considerable assets, stellar credit scores, no late payments ever, no bounced checks and this is how we were treated. I am in the process of closing all accounts with WF and will never do business with them again. I wish I could give them less than one star. Please think again if you're considering Wells Fargo, they are worse than awful!

I recent lost my car in flood. The car was totaled by the insurance company but I have yet to receive the insurance payment because Wells Fargo refused to release the title of my car even after the loan was paid in full. According to Wells Fargo the title was released to Citizen bank because the check they received came from citizen despite the fact that the signature on the check was mined. After 3 weeks and numerous calls to Wells Fargo during which I was repeated hung up on, endless waiting and having to endure humiliation by an employee who decide to scold me about the virtues of kindness to essential employees (by Vanessa in Titles). I was told that I needed to arrange a three way call with citizens to verify that they did not hold a lien on the car. I personally went to my branch where I got a bank manager to call citizen we spoke to a Mr. Alexander who directed the bank manager to send an email stating they had no interest in the car. Since I never received the lien release I called Wells Fargo who claimed they never received the letter from Citizen,. I went into the branch again and had the letter resent and I was told I still had to wait 7-10 days to receive the lien release. This was Wells Fargo error that has been a real hardship. I haven't had a car for three weeks and I can get the money from the insurance to purchase a car until the lien has been released. There were two formal complaints to Wells Fargo and I have yet to receive an apology.

Called to check why the bank sent me an email saying a newer card has been issued to me and that's why my card isn't working. When I wanted to clarify with The Racist Guy he started telling me businesses make mistakes and focus on what I'm saying. Dude I am a lawyer and know English wayyyy better than you ever will. So don't get condescending with me because I want to double check to ensure your bank is not making a mistake again by giving me wrong information.

Passive aggressive to the next level and beyond. Color or an accent doesn't make you any less or more smart than the next person. This is your JOB and I'm paying for you to answer these calls. You're not doing me a favor so watch how you speak
