We've been trying our very to order a sofa from Wayfair since July 8. The first sofa was stuck at start and didn't even ship. So we ordered another sofa July 22 with delivery August 6 - August 12. It is now August 25 and all the communications we receive from Wayfair are vague excuses and it's on it's way. When I said if it's not delivered by August 31 we really just want to cancel. Then they say if it is in route (which they keep telling me since August 15 it is in transit) then there is a cancellation fee? This makes no sense and all I want is a sofa. Wayfair should not be allowed to take people's money.
Ordered a patio set for $750 and now 2 weeks later it is on sale for $360. Tried asking for a refund for the difference and they are quick to dismiss you. Meanwhile I could just return the one set and re order it at the new price and it is the same supplier. So not sure how they justify not doing the refund. Will never shop there again. And going to post my review any where I can!
I never want to give a bad review but WAYFAIR is the worst company I ever ordered from. They are quick to take your money and then you get the run around between them and fed ex as to where your goods actually are. WF says shipped... Fed ex says havent
received the item from shipper. I don't expect I will see my (chairs) anytime soon. Their customer service is useless. Stick with Amazon.
1st time buyer experience... i bought a desk on August 5th signed up for notifications and the App. They have withdrawn funds from my account. The Delivery date was and still is today, August 18. When I called, the genius in CS parroted that it should arrive August 18 but when i mentioned it has always stated that it is then she bothered herself to look into the big square magic box on her desk so she could inform me that they have deducted the funds, NEVER updated the shipping and cant provide an ETA.
GO ELSEWHERE. IF YOU HAVE 300.00 WHAT IS ANOTHER 100.00 TO SPEND ELSEWHERE AND ACTUALLY GET YOUR ORDER?
IST AND LAST TIME BUYER.
Ordered an office desk which shipped 10 days after I ordered it, sent wrong desk, customer service lied and said I ordered a Different color, my head was spinning because of their nonsense. Do yourself a favor, stay away.
I ordered a month ago and still haven't received my order. It was said to deliver on aug 6th. It's now the 15th and I still haven't received it.
This company is unbelievable. WATCH OUT FOR WHATS IN YOUR CART! YOU GET CHARGED FOR ALL Of Whats THERE with NO NOTICE. When you PUT an item into the cart you will be billed all items there. I paid for the one item I wanted in the cart, with my own credit card. They tried to put the rest on the Wayfair card, when my Wayfair card wouldnt take they charged. An additional $ 900.00 my personal credit card. And shipped it all! I caught the bad deed, before things shipped. But I was STILL charged a $169.82 RETURN FEE!. Will NEVER do business with them again, EVER!
Worst buying experience ever... placed an order through Barclays finance on 8th August with the estimated delivery on 13th and still haven't heard from them. Contacted customers support and they are as clueless as I am... event they don't know what's going on... worst online shopping experience...
Bought a Vanity and Faucet for my bathroom and the price went down 150.00 after I bought. Wayfair would not reduce my items to the present price. Never buy again! Amazon is the place to go!
I'm so frustrated. I purchased a chest for $116 and the chest turned out to be smaller and doesn't fit what I need. Now, to return it, it will cost me $42 to return it! Thats almost half of what I paid for the chest. They say you get free shipping on orders over $30 and now they're charging me 42$ to return it! It never said anywhere that it would be that much ever to return it. Never buying from here again.
I am returning 3/4 sets of curtains and I am being charged return shipping for each individual item and have to send each item back in separate bags/boxes even though everything was purchased in one order. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous and it will cost around $25 to return everything. While they stated there would be potential charge for return shipments, there is no statement regarding charges for each item returned. They should be a bit more transparent and disclose this information prior to purchasing. It essentially falls under false advertising and price gouging.
Disappointed and not ordering from them again. Apparently, I'm not the only one who has complaints about them.
On a side note: The customer service team who answered my questions and helped with the return labels were prompt and helpful and the complaints above have nothing to do with them. 100% for corporate.
DO NOT BUY - You are just an Order Number
We've had nothing but issues with Wayfair. After TWO MONTHS of our product (kitchen table) missing parts, Wayfair has STILL not tried to expedite a remedy towards their mistake, providing "standard shipment" on an order they have botched several times. Wayfair's customer service = offering "free shipping" on a product that should have been delivered months ago.
At this point, I will never order from Wayfair again and will spread the word of this poor experience. After several mistakes, Wayfair offers no phone call, NO APOLOGY, not even a code for a discount on a next purchase.
Wayfair is TOO BIG TO CARE - which is the message I will be spreading.
Wayfairs company culture is to treat customers as orders numbers. STAY AWAY!
Companies are only as good as the solutions offer during a mistake, and Wayfair is TERRIBLE!
I ordered two identical mattresses (almost $400) over the phone toward the end of July with one of Wayfair's Customer Service Representatives. I was promised to receive. I was promised to receive these mattresses by July 28. Upon receiving a confirmation email, it became apparent that Wayfair's representative wrote down my address wrong. I called again to correct this, and I was falsely assured that the mistake was corrected. I called back every day since the beginning of August, and it wasn't until August 8 that the address was actually corrected on behalf of Wayfair and sent to UPS - DESPITE THE FACT that every representative I spoke to each day ASSURED ME that the mattress was on its way. Every time I called, the representatives told me that the mattress would be delivered on the following business day... it's been two weeks now, and I no longer trust this company. They have done nothing to reasonably address this MAJOR INCONVENIENCE or correct the situation (aside from begrudgingly giving me a strange 23% discount and INSISTING that there is nothing more that they could do for me). The manager, who goes by "Bobby," is INCREDIBLY rude and abrasive and tried saying that this was the shipper's mistake, even though ALL the representatives prior to her acknowledged that it was in fact their mistake for writing my delivery address incorrectly. To add insult to injury, I asked if it would be possible/easier to cancel this order (since it has become SO COMPLICATED) and start a new order for the same product. One of the supervisors, Paul, told me that they would charge ME a fee if they were to do this - DESPITE THE FACT that their representatives had offered this idea during one of my earlier phone calls. So, in short, they would be charging ME a cancellation/rerouting fee for THEIR REPRESENTATIVE'S mistake. This was my first time ordering from Wayfair, and it will be my last. It is August 10, and I still do not have 1/2 of my mattresses (first one came 8 days later than it was supposed to -- again, these two mattresses were placed in the SAME ORDER with the SAME ADDRESS). Do not order from this company - save yourself the time, energy, and headache.
I ordered patio furniture in April (after much searching online). Delivery was set for June, which I was fine with. Delivery date came and went with no updates. After several emails and a phone call I was told the furniture was located in a warehouse. Then online status changed to "backordered" and new delivery date was set for August 11-15. I decided to be patient. Last week i received an email saying new delivery date was October 14th. I canceled the whole order. What a waste of time and also incredibly unnecessary aggravation. Something is seriously wrong with Wayfair lately. I had good luck in the past with smaller orders but this experience (and others I have read) just makes no sense, even given the pandemic issues.
1) purchased vanities from the company - arrived late and broken. Delivery person would not even take it off the truck.
2) purchase table - it arrived - they repeated told us that is was lost in shipment.
3) Chairs bought at the same time as table - given a delivery date - repeated told the shipment was being processed. Purchased June 20th - today 8/6 told items has been discontinued after multiple email stating the it was being shipped.
I placed an order on July 9,2020 for a crib set and mattress. The crib set was to include a crib and dresser. Received the crib and mattress within a week. July 29, I called to see why I haven't received the dresser. I was told that it was ticketed but never left the warehouse. The representative said she was going to reissue another ticket and give me a 10% coupon(WOW!). I then received an email on July 29, that said it would be September 18th before I would receive the dresser. I called Wayfair and they said that they had to order another one from the manufacture and that there was nothing they could do about it(this came from management) I asked for them to make this right by giving some type of credit and once again I was told they could only give 10% off next purchase. By the way, I still haven't received a code/coupon from the first 10% off I was told I could have. I grew up in a time where customer service was very important and was the backbone to businesses surviving. I guess now customer service has gone out the window and these large companies could care less about doing what is right and keeping their customer base. I can tell you that I will NEVER shop at Wayfair again. There are too many local companies that need my business, may cost more but at least I will get good customer service!
Beware of ordering from Wayfair and returns. I placed an order for an item and then was told it would take six weeks to receive it. I canceled it right away and next thing you know they shipped it out and now want $60 from me to return the item. 1/3 of the price of the product. Customer Service was no help and basically said too bad - find someone to pay for it if you want it returned or pay us $60. Never again will buy from their website.
This has been the WORST experience purchasing an item online that I have ever had, and I will never shop through this company ever again. I ordered this item knowing that it would take 3 weeks to get here. This of course was delayed, which was an annoyance in and of itself. Then I come to find that, in the shipment which comes in two packages, only one part is delivered, and they had not even sent the second item. So now I have a mattress sitting on the floor because I still (after a month) have not gotten all the pieces for a bed. And on top of it, Wayfair cannot get it to me immediately and I have to wait all over again (yes another 3 weeks). So an order placed in the beginning of July wont be here until end of August... despicable! This is completely unacceptable, and I will be personally posting on every forum possible to express the sheer lack of professionalism and competence shown by your company. All I am offered is an empty apology, which does nothing to help me in this situation. No wonder you have such terrible consumer reviews.
Wayfair is an ABSOLUTE DISASTER! I placed my first order through Wayfair last week. I ordered a coffee table in white marble with chrome legs. I received the table, opened it up to find the interior packaging for the legs had "EMPTY" written in huge black marker. It was of course, completely empty. No legs, just a table top. So I ordered a replacement which was fairly simple, 2 days later I received my replacement. After opening the box, I realized that they now sent THE WRONG TABLE! This table had gold legs, not chrome. So extremely frustrated, I reached out to customer service and ordered YET ANOTHER REPLACEMENT! Customer service told me that they would make it right, and that someone would verify the order prior to shipping. 3 days later, the order status changes to "CANCELED". Now they send me an email essentially telling me "sorry about your luck, we don't have that table, you will get a refund at some point. Here are some recommendations for some other stuff you should order from us"! DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ORDER ANYTHING FROM WAYFAIR unless you are looking to give them an interest free loan for a few weeks.
This company shipping model is everything gets shipped free but doesn't mean in a timely manner. Or that your item will come without missing parts or in good condition. They don't seem to have any quality control when it comes to shipment. They are fine to take your money and make you wait months to get your item. You really need to know what you are buying and which company it is coming from, Wayfair is just the middleman.
Answer: Ive ordered several things and I believe they've all had pictures on outside- sorry.
Answer: No, they will take returns, but you pay fees. As for poor quality, I guess we just swallow it.
Answer: From my experience, this is company is to be avoided. Sounds like your life will be hectic enough for awhile so you don't need additional stress. Buy elsewhere is my advice.
Answer: Need to call Customer Service ( a/k/a Customer Disservice) about any issue. Expect to be disappointed, but they may honor it. Best to avoid Wayfair in the future.
Answer: Suggest calling Customer Service aka Customer disservice. A word of advice: buy elsewhere; anywhere else. This Co. Just does not care.
Answer: Obviously their mission to become popular has worked. They don't need to be a good company anymore. They will take the money and run. When the time is right, they will close up shop and reopen with a new name. It is hard to find a business with integrity anymore.
Answer: Stay away. They do not follow up to make things right concerning your order.
Answer: Call customer service (aka customer disservice). This company should be avoided. Deal with a reputable Co like Amazon or its partners, They care.
Answer: I wouldn't order anything big from Wayfair. I had to order the same product 3 times, and each time, the product was damaged. Wayfair rhymes with nightmare for a reason.
