I bought a high end umbrella in March the light stopped working 4 months later i called and askes them for a replacement for the light part they didn't have it so the sent me a whole new umbrella three days later $500 umbrella. CM
Edit: I felt the need to warn people about having large pieces of furniture delivered. If you do, be aware that they will not take items up stairs. It is not like other furniture delivery. They simply get them to the site. The way I understood the fine print was that they would get it to my door, but they did not. I wasn't too happy, but a neighbor helped me when he saw me dragging a 250 lbs couch up my stairs.
That said, the couch is great. Just make sure you have help and a place to throw away the biggest friggin box you'll ever see.
I thought I should put up a review because there seems to be a bit of selection bias in which only angry customers are reviewing. I have never had an issue with Wayfair. They are the only company I will consider purchasing furniture from without seeing the product in person. The customer service is probably the best I've experienced from any online company, but maybe they are having growing pains because I haven't called in a while.
A few examples:
1. I purchased a record player/storage stand from them. Beautiful piece, but I had trouble getting the door angled right because I was doing it wrong (I didn't see to adjust the hinges). They didn't even care that it was my own stupidity that caused me to ruin my product. They sent out a new set of hardware and a new door for me and did not require I send back anything. I was very happy as this was about a $300 record player stand.
2. I purchased some mid-priced lamps from them and overtightened a few pieces so that the threading came out of the wood. Again, they just sent me some replacement parts. Again, didn't need to return anything.
3. I purchased a high table with chairs and the plastic pieces at the bottom of one of the chairs had come out, so that the chair was horribly wobbly. They simply sent out some pieces to replace the plastic bottoms. Again, didn't need to return anything.
I've purchased quite a few items from Wayfair and because of the way they can just send out replacement parts, I've stuck with them for online furniture purchases. It's probably been 18 months since I had to call them, so maybe they're slipping. I hope that is not the case.
Do not order from them. The price went down on an item I purchased less than 12 hours afterward. They refused to refund the difference so my only option would be to return the first one (which had already been marked as shipped by that point and would cost me and them to return) then buy a second one.
I ordered a small cabinet from Wayfair, and the price dropped two days later. It had just shipped, and I don't even have it yet. I called to ask if they would refund me the difference. Nope. They wouldn't do it for me. The customer service lady told me they don't price adjust. I would have to return it, and then buy it again. Terrible! I won't be ordering anything else from them in the future.
I love the selection of products down on way here. Can always find what I want for a good price! I bought a tv cabinet and it arrived super fast.
I want to make everyone aware of a shift in Wayfair's policy. They no longer price adjust on items that you have not received yet and had a price drop. They will make you wait to receive the item then return the item, pay full shipping costs to return the item and make you repurchase the item again. To the best of my knowledge they have gone through great lengths to keep their change in policy from the public. A quick google search will show that they have a 7-day price adjustment policy and as far as I know, Wayfair has not done anything to resolve this even though as I was told by the Customer Service representative they changed their policy approximately 1 year ago. Also, I never received any notification as to the change in policy and I am almost certain they never indicated such on their homepage to make their customers aware of this significant shift in policy.
I ordered a TV stand and based on their shipping date I was willing to wait. Then on the first date that it was suppose to arrive, they changed the date to 3 more weeks out. Now the item shows as out of stock on their website.
Don't waste your time with them, they do not confirm that the product is even available even though they advertise it for sale. I would not have ordered it if they would have been honest that it would take this long to "POTENTIALLY' receive it.
I've ordered plenty through wayfair and the service has always been great. Items as described, well packaged and delivered on time / early.
One order I put in a wrong address on the other side of the west coast, when I realized what happened they took over and had the item delivered to my new address on the east coast. No problem and no charge.
Free delivery is a joke. They left my package in front of the building but not at the door. I have to haul it up by myself. Bad quality and terrible service.
I ordered A White desk now for Online school.Ok First it is OVER PRICED but ok Ill pay for it $105 for a 2 drawer desk. Ok i order It SAYS it will arrive September 15, when i ordered it Aug. 4, Ok ill wait a month I waited that long becuase It is my first time shopping on wayfair i gave it a chance.Ok Its Septemeber 14, I was VERY excited to give my hopes UP. I ordered a ping pong table. Never received it, and they only refunded 349.59 out of 399.59. They still owe me 50 dollars! I called several times, but never received the full refund. Don't get ripped off by ordering from Wayfair!
Place an order a month ago and cannot get a straight answer from their customer service as to where my order is. The site says it's shipped but tracking it through FedEx says a label has been created for it. One Customer Service rep told me my account said it was coming the next day, which it did not. I've shopped with them for a while now but recently the service has been sub par. This will be my last purchase on their site. Not worth the hassle and bad service.
Save yourself the headache and pay extra NEVER to have to deal with this company. They are dishonest and should not be investigated by whatever governing authority runs on-line commerce. They charged my credit card for a vanity that had a 6 week time line. It was supposed to arrive next week. When I got on my account it was pushed back until end of October vs. September. When I called I was advised by an ill-equipped "rep" that there was an outstanding balance. That the charge never went through - even though it was on my statement. When they tried to run the card, it was declined - probably flagged for fraud for the same exact amount from same company. Instead of contacting the customer via email or phone, they just sold the piece to someone else and now it is on back order causing me to have to wait another 6 weeks for my bathroom renovation. The customer service rep was snarky and completely unsympathetic to the situation. When I asked why I wasn't contacted about a billing issue, she said they don't do that. Can't help but notice that the charge was immediate; however, the issue to resolve it is nonexistent. They send confirmation emails about the order going through, but not about shipping it. They sat with my money for 4 weeks. I have heard horror stories about Wayfair, and I should have heeded those warnings. The only reason I even did order was because of the unique need of my bathroom vanity.
I will never order from this dishonest company again.
Placed an order for a desk 8/26, was supposed to arrive 9/11. As of yesterday, 9/14, it hadn't even shipped. I called last week to see what the delay was and they could not get a hold of the warehouse. I told them I'd give them a few more days and would have to cancel on Monday if it still hadn't shipped. So I tried speaking to a rep yesterday (Monday) and after waiting for someone to answer for over 20 mins, I gave up and just cancelled my order through their app. I also emailed them. No reply from them or update on my order whatsoever. I try calling again this morning, they once again take forever to answer. I then hang up and try their sales team and of course they answer within 2 mins but they had to transfer me because they couldn't help me (I understand that). I then get transferred to the most passive aggressive rep that was full of excuses. She first tells me before they move forward with my cancellation they have to contact the warehouse (yeah, good luck with that one!). Then she says they may or may not want to cancel... this infuriates me, but I keep my composure and ask how is it possible that they might not be ok with cancelling an order that they could not deliver? She then switches her super sweet phony tone and starts to tell me that because I paid with PayPal they took my money right away vs using another payment method (come again?). So I tell her "thanks for the great idea! I'll just have to give PayPal a call and file a claim with them for a product I did not receive!". Something tells me she didn't like that because her tone switched to concerned as she said "well I didn't tell you to do that..." Whatever lady, I will never order from your shady company again and I will also be sure to post this review everywhere possible so people can get a glimpse of how you guys like to do business there. Oh yeah, also, right before I hung up on her she said "something tells me I didn't help you much" yeah, you think?! At least she was able to acknowledge that
After 9 months. This is what happened. I can't believe this. Please u guys have to be careful i never see those kind of worse living room sets
Ordered bed a bed two months ago. Sent wrong sizes/parts for bed. When contacted they stated part WAS in stock and it would be shipped the following week. It's now been 2weeks with nothing! When we contact them they now say the part isn't in stock but we had to contact them to learn is information! Piece of crap!
Purchased a reception desk on 8/28/2020 and immediate after purchase, wayfair marked my order has been shipped. 3 days later, my partner found our front office is too small and might put a simple desk instead of the fancy reception desk, so I called wayfair try to cancel the order since there is no cancellation button on their website, and I did read they do not accept cancellation if order is shipped. However, the order is scheduled for delivery on 9/14, about 17 days after purchase, and I try to explain the situation with the customer service and all she want to do is charge me return shipping if I want to cancel. About $165 out of something I didn't receive or won't receive for another 13 days. I asked if there is any other options, the answer is NO. Straight BS and rude. Worst online purchase experience ever and will never buy from them again. GLTA...
This business uses ineptness to re-bill you after you have confirmation numbers. What they are doing is placing fraudulent charges on your credit card with caused me to cancel my card. I hope the Justice Department investigates them for fraud and RICO violations
Although skeptical of a large firm promising great prices, products and quick delivery my experience was more than satisfactory and I am going to have to say, excellent. I purchased 2 beds in a box and frames for both and all the items were really good quality and even comfortable.
