I am always happy to post positive reviews to reward effort or encourage good service, but as both a customer and a lawyer I have to report serious issues with Wayfair. Customer service is something that we tend to depend upon online. Wayfair's customer service is lacking, ill-considered and substandard, in which the company's interest is put before that of the customer. Which is a pity for their product range is attractive. However, their job as online distribution is simply to get the right product to the right customer at a competitive price - and here they consistently fail. If you have the choice to shop with another provider, I would recommend that you do so.

They take your money with a promise the item is IN STOCK for next day delivery. They say dispatched, then week after week delivery gets cancelled the day before. After a MONTH the wrong, different, unsuitable bed arrived. I will never use this company again.

I can't praise this company enough I've had furniture delivered from other places but this one deserves 5 stars everything I've ordered camd in first class condition delivered when they said it would and customer service is first class think Il furnish my flat with all their stuff it's brilliant

Let down
December 7, 2020

Ordered and paid for a sofa in good time for Xmas delivery. I've now been told, via email, and two days before it was due to be delivered, that the sofa has been discontinued. I now cannot order a sofa for Xmas from anywhere as Wayfair have left it so late to tell me. Appalling customer service.

Had a TV stand delivered today, was told on the 5th November when I bought it that it was in stock, then told it was being delivers from Germany after purchase, finally arrived today. Advertiaed as TV stand for TVs up to 88 inches, absolute rubbish. Can only take 25kgs ( they do not tell you this in the advertising on the product) my 75 inch TV weighs over 32 kgs, with some 88 inch TVs being over 50 kgs! Double what this flimsy cheaply constructed, TV stand can hold. Simply false advertising, is leading and cannot do what the advert says it can. Wayfair now want me to pay to have it collected, simply dishgracefull, really shocking that companies. Like this still get away with down right misleading advertising, and people are stuck at home shopping online because of the lockdown, how many people have been ripped off? By misleading online advertising? The TV stand is called a Raul 88 inch TV stand, but can only hold 40 inch TVs or smaller due to poor materials / construction and resulting weight constraints. Save yourself all the grief and misleading advertising and DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company!
PS - have you seen how there responses on trustpilot are almost identical - there generic computer originated responses telling people to log into there accounts - this company really does not care about you or any of there clients

They are abysmal and utterly incompetent!
They are abysmal, suggest avoid! I placed an order for some artwork about a month ago, delivery was confirmed as 19th December and remained that way until today. As no delivery or update materialised last week I chased them, various standard responses with assurances of an update that usually they couldn't even provide, escalating between different people and departments, even one that if they couldn't locate the order... "a replacement will be ordered for you once this investigation has been completed, at no additional cost to yourself"! Today I finally received a very casual email (with an apology) that they had cancelled the order as don't have it and no further stock and will refund me within five days.
I am furious at the amount of my time wasted with these clowns and their totally ineffective customer service, I know just need to see if they are even capable of processing my refund on time!

Sofa delivered damaged

I ordered this 3 seater sofa and after 12 weeks of waiting it came badly damaged to the point where we couldn't sit on it. The packaging around it wasn't sufficient. I contacted customer service who told me to dispose of it myself! Then told me me to arrange delivery from wayfair it had to be repackaged or they couldn't pick it up! The sofa would fall apart if you moved it and I didn't have a box/ enough plastic big enough! Then I was told to take it to a charity shop! It is still in my hall with no solution as customer service is extremely poor and I am STILL trying to resolve the issue without us now having a sofa.

Customer service is a joke, they can't even be bothered to reply to my email. The scam is offering £15 for your first order. Don't be fooled, you will not get a penny off. All Wayfair cares about is getting their hands on your hard earned cash. After that you can whistle. The charges to return goods are exorbitant, they obviously hope you will not bother. I certainly will never use this company again and I will make sure I tell everyone I know.

Buyer beware!

Ensure you fully research the item you want on various sites to get the best price/quality before buying from Wayfair. We bought an item from them for £45, the quality was poor for the money - the box came with the original provider's details on, their site sells them for £25! We thought the item was exclusive to Wayfair. They won't refund the difference. We won't use Wayfair again.

Very disappointed

My dinner plates arrived to be buffet plates. Wrong concept! You stand to eat from a buffet plate and sit to eat from a dinner plate! I was asked to measure the plate?. Who measures plates? This item was totally misleading according to the Trades description act. They arrived with stickers on them saying Buffet plates although they were described as Inner plates.
Absolute waste of time and very misleading

I have ordered sideboard on the 31.11.2020 Delivery date 4.11 Two weeks later still no sign of my furniture. Lack of communication no updates with order status.
I had to make a phone call to the customer service. They promise to deliver within few days. At the end they just cancel my order without any explanation and issued the refund. The money still didn't reach my account. Scum. Avoid.

I ordered a rug off Wayfair, but literally minutes after was told that a larger size of the same rug was needed instead, hopped into the chat to see if this could be changed and was told "No, the printer has printed the label, you now must refuse delivery of the parcel at the door before we can refund you" which seems weird as it hadn't left the warehouse and I had ordered it literally 3minutes prior... So October 24th came and we refused delivery of it, the lady who was delivering it said no worries she knows what to do and will take it back with her... As of today no refund has been given, no emails answered and they've put the rig as "delivered" on the Wayfair website when I don't have it... Very unhappy with Wayfair now and I refuse to buy from them again, they used to be good but now they just take your money and don't seem to want to help.

Wayfair sent order to the wrong address, and I have spent weeks trying to receive a refund. They ignore messages. I would not recommend this company. I now have to pay my credit card until refund is received or there will be charges.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend buying from Wayfair following a disappointing and frustrating experience in recent months. Customers seem to be left to do all the chasing up and make phone calls.
Ordered a corner sofa that, when delivered, was of very poor quality, uncomfortable and flimsy. After 2 months we had to request a refund.
I have had another issue with an order placed for a computer desk. Only part of the desk was delivered 6 weeks ago and currently, 2 month after placing the order, still waiting for the missing parts to be shipped from Poland. There seems no way of speaking to a manager or raising a complaint. Keep getting referred to a ‘delivery investigation team' but then given conflicting information and dates!
Website is misleading with delivery dates. Delivery service poor.
This order has been delayed at least twice, new dates of delivery keep being promised and delayed. Unless you order very small items, such as a couple of cushions, it's not worth the risk of buying from Wayfair.
I won't be placing orders with this company again.

Purchased a two bar electric fire from here, looked really good on the website! Ordered it last Sunday and it said it was going to arrive on the 12th but it didn't show up, I then call up the company and they say they are going to try and send it again, it then arrives today (19.10.2020), opened the box to find it has a broken element! Will not be purchasing from this dog turd of a company again!

NEWSLETTER SIGN UP SCAM!

This company basically gets you to sign up to their newsletters on the promise of £15 off your first order. Then sends you a welcome newsletter/email without a code on it! You put through an order thinking you will have the £15 automatically taken off, which of course doesn't happen! You complain to Wayfair about the whole thing and they tell you that you haven't signed up to their newsletter (even though you have received it!) and will not honour their promise of money off - as apparently their policy is that they do not apply codes to orders already placed! Then a few days later you receive an email with a promo code on it! Talk about taking the pee! Terrible customer service and a scam! AVOID!

Tom, 'Ick and Harry

Worst customer service ever experienced. After receiving an office chair with a main part missing, I was assured the part would be with me in days. The goal post changed on a daily basis and the reasons given from a different named assistant each day (Tom, 'ick. AND Harry amongst umpteen others) were beyond belief.eg Their own courier forgot to pick it up. The 'regurgitated' standard customer letters were an insult and I received the same written garbage numerous times. Again and again Wayfair told me to 'rest assured' as they would 'reach out' to their warehouse and resolve the matter. When the 'reaching out' resolved nothing, wayfair would simply send another 'update on order' email to advise of a new, distant delivery date. I was finally assured I would be advised of an investigation outcome on a certain day, and again received nothing but a further revised estimated delivery date. What a joke. I finally received my money back when it was apparent China had too many other Wayfair parts to put on board. The chair was never collected and I was advised I could donate this to charity or keep it. I'm still trying to work out what use an office chair is without the main pole to attach the seat to the wheels. I'm sure if I rested assured and reached out to all, someone would want a swivel chair with no legs that rested on the floor. (it was dreadful quality anyway so think the outcome worked out well once my blood pressure returned to normal). Thank you Wayfair. Never again!

Poor Quality Products

Purchased 3 leather/chrome bar stools from Wayfair UK at a cost of over £300 in September 2018 and all three are now unusable due to their backs breaking.
I contacted Wayfair who told me the guarantee period finished a month earlier so they would not help!
We now need 3 replacement stools and I can guarantee we won't be purchasing from this terrible company.

Gross Mis-selling

This company sells items as if they are in stock, but then delay delivery for months whilst sitting on your payment.
They do not respond to e-mails, and when they had a wrong postcode, they cancelled the order rather than deliver the item I had been waiting for, for 5 months.
