By far, the WORST experience of buying online. By no means does this review apply to Suzanne (customer service rep), she did what she could to try to help me. She's just bound by the WORST, STUPIDEST company policy that I've ever seen that they WILL NOT MATCH THEIR OWN SALE'S PRICE. We bought a shower stall for our bathroom on March 23rd, 2021. The advertised price that day was $1939. 99 + tax. On March 25th, 2021, the advertised price went down to $1599. 99. That is a difference of $340.00. I called Wayfair to inquire if something could be done to match the lower advertised price and was told nothing could be done. I can't even cancel the order because apparently it's already been shipped. I then considered ordering another one at $1599. 99 but was told that if I am to return this item there would be a shipping cost of $510,00. Then spoke with Dominique (also tried to help but couldn't) then transferred to Bryce who was able to issue a $97.00 dollar credit on A $340.00 price difference. I'm not buying a $50.00 item here that I ordered weeks ago, we're talking about a $2000. 00 item ordered 2 days ago. This was my FIRST time and my LAST time that I buy from that thief of a company! And, I will be very loud and upfront with all my friends and contact, and posting reviews wherever I can so people know NOT to buy from Wayfair. My mistake was to NOT read the reviews online about Wayfair before buying. They have the POOREST, MOST MEDIOCRE reviews that I have ever seen. Good luck to whoever wants to deal with them.
Free shipping they say, yet doesn't cover general areas of Ontario. Because my area wasn't included, they wanted to charge me $400 shipping cost for one item!

I ordered an office chair from Wayfair.ca and waited more than 6 weeks and never received it, that is when I decided to call them and ask them about my chair. The lady who answered the phone was not helpful and has no idea where is my chair and she said somebody will email after two days to tell me about it. Same day I received an email from them to tell me they put another order for that item and I will have to wait another 6 weeks to arrive, meaning in total will be 3 months to receive my item, if it will arrive. This is very bad service and I will never buy anything from these people again.
We had ordered from Wayfair on 2 occasions recently, not a bad experience however they had reduced the price of both items we ordered twice in a matter of a week. One of the items were on back order when we placed the order with an in stock date. During that back order time they raised the price by $100.00, the item came into stock before the in stock date so we ordered it and asked for the original pricing, they refused. We ordered it anyway because we had matching pieces prior. Our dresser came damaged (chipped) and the draw wasn't secured inside the dresser which means I would have to take off the backing to secure the draw. The night table had a obvious scratch on the top ( white in colour), the scratch could never have happened during shipping, it was too well packed for that to happen. It was packaged that way before packaging. The chip... they painted it in white to make it blend in, it should have been raw wood beneath the chip. To say the least, it was a mess. Constant pricing changes, where most legitimate companies would encourage you to note the change in price and they will give you the difference. We're not cheap people, just had a terrible experience with Wayfair. We do find them expensive for what you are getting, we are limited to we're we can go with this pandemic or we would have gone elsewhere in the first place. Let me just say that the customer service was great each and every time we spoke with them, wait times were great and efficiency was was also great. Managers decisions poor.
I intended to refurnish some rooms in my house and decided to give WAYFAIR a try. However, I was leery about the delivery times and the quality of the products so I started with one product, an area rug... it was a really great price at 83% off. The first Apollonie area rug I ordered, Wayfair cancelled it 3 weeks after the order date citing the price was mislabelled. It was $900 more than listed for that colour. I called Wayfair and looked on the site and was assured the same rug in another colour was priced correctly. Wayfair even gave me a 15% discount code for my troubles which I used to buy the rug and coordinating pillows. Three weeks later, that rug order was cancelled stating it was a processing issue. I called WAYFAIR again today to ask why the second rug I ordered was cancelled. I was told it was incorrectly priced. I asked why the rugs are still mislabelled on the website and what about the third colour rug? If I order that rug (photo enclosed) would it also be cancelled? Is there someone who can tell me the REAL price of the rug? After 45 minutes of waiting, the answer was NO from both the salesperson and the manager. Apparently, there is no one at Wayfair who can tell me the CORRECT price of any item on the Wayfair website. WHAT? I was told to read the terms of use (photo attached).
I am sure Amazon, Best Buy, Zulily, etc. have the same terms of use. However, they have not abused the terms as Wayfair has. The only reason the price of first 2 rugs I have ordered was immediately corrected on the site was because I asked/threatened them to do so. The third rug (photo attached) is still mislabelled on the site to be $900 less than the actual cost. I am sure if I ordered it, it will be cancelled also.
Is the mislabelling not CATFISHING? How can Wayfair justify their intentional mispricing of products to lure in customers and then just cancel any order for which they had no intention of honouring? I guess the answer is in the terms of use. However, I find it absurd that Wayfair can charge my credit right away, keep my money for 3 weeks and them take 7 days to return the funds for a transaction it never intended to honour. SHAME ON YOU WAYFAIR!
Low quality products. I purchased a table/desk and a chair, for a total of CAD 900. The table top was made of cheap wood, and started displaying major cracks after 1 year and 2 months (see pictures), conveniently after the warranty time (which covers the product for max 1 year). The chair is not of great quality either. Considering quality and durability, definitely overpriced. Online pictures are deceptive.
I ordered a Belleze chair (accent chair) which arrived in January 2021 without legs. Every person I spoke with there asked me if "they were in a pouch on bottom of chair" NO! Anyway to make this long story short - they told me they would send legs, never arrived, then they blamed Belleze tracking info. Then when I called Belleze, they told me they have over 150 sets of legs, but they do not sell to consumer only to wayfair. I clearly asked "if I had the chair for 2 years and my dog chewed a leg, could I order one or set through you" she said 'no' maybe through walmart? Wayfair suggested a credit (after my repeated calls) and then stated to dispose of the chair which can only sit on the ground. Most companies are going green or environmentally aware - not Wayfair of Belleze. Throw the chair in the garbage but yet they have many sets of legs at their Belleze warehouse. Ridiculous! I wrote a review on wayfair but they did not post it. I will continue to educate buyers of the environmental impact due to their lack of process and quality assurance. Oh yes, and if you are wondering why they didn't send me a full replacement chair with legs, online it showed out of stock although when I called the toll free # at Belleze they said it was never out of stock.
I would recommend that no one EVER buy ANYTHING from wayfair. I ordered a desk for my teen daughter for Christmas in early november which was supposed to arrive in 2 weeks, it has been 12 weeks now and no item, no refund. I have complained many times to their customer service email and still no one has been able to refund me or get a desk to me. This is a seller that will NOT make mistakes right. It feels like I have been robbed for hundreds of dollars by wayfair.
I purchased this outdoor furniture and had 2 pieces defective. Wayfair sent two new pieces... excellent customer service. Over All I am happy with the patio set. The reason for a 3 star is this product is cheaply made I had to serge sew all the pillow slip covers or use and washing will separate the seam. I do not recommend this product. For the money I paid and the work I had to put into saving the cushion covers from falling apart.
My first time deal with the Wayfair.ca online company and already received the worse service. Order placed within 24 hours and then found the price dropped on its own website. The company telling me they do not offer price adjustment so is my bad. And welcoming me to return the item if wished but I have to pay for the return. What kind of company is this? Today online business should focus on service but this company is giving up the chance to hold a new customer but instead no respect for what you are feeling. It feels really BAD when someone making you feel foolish! NO RECOMMEND TO wayfair.ca nor wayfair.com 1 STAR!
Ordered dish rack which was on sale but cancelled the order saying not available after 3-4 days. Due to this i missed other rack on sale. They do not honour their pricing mistake lol. I do not recommend this vendor.
Placed an order for bunk beds as a Christmas gift to my daughters on November 21. Product was in stock and a delivery date of December 11th was given. Called on December 12 after receiving no delivery and was told it was now back ordered and would be delivered December 21, guaranteed!
It's now Christmas Eve and it still has not even been shipped! Will never order from here again!
We purchased two bunk beds for my kids and few days later they dropped the price by $300, they refuse to give us a price adjustment or a store credit. If you like the feeling get being ripped off then shop there, otherwise stay away from Wayfair!
Ordered a light fixture for just over $200.00 when it arrived it was the cheapest piece of garbage I have ever seen not at all as described or pictured, then to my absolute disgust wayfair does not allow individual product reviews so I could steer others away from this item... this is the last time I will ever shop on this site... no regard for customers at all... biggest loser sight online. Better quality at half the price at Home Depot
Ordered a genuine leather chair, credit card charged twice then fixed then charged again. It's not free shipping if you want it even 1 step into your house. Chair finally arrive not leather and had a mark on arm. No compensation for all the aggravation. The only positive the customer service was exceptional.
Unbelievably frustrated with Wayfair and will never order from them again. Way better options such as Amazon, Walmart, etc that at least when they make a mistake they stand behind it and make it right. I ordered a some lights on Nov 18th with an expected arrival date of November 26th. On December 3rd, I still hadn't received them, so looked further into the order and it still said Estimated Arrival Nov. 26th. I called and the first agent was very apologetic and offered either a refund or to re-order/re-send. I told them that this was a Christmas gift so a refund was not a good solution, and to please re-send. I got a new confirmation with an email that said I'm sorry, but we're going to make it right. The new estimated arrival date was December 10th, which was fine for me as long as I had them by Christmas. On December 7th I received an email that said we apologize, your item has been further delayed the new estimated arrival date is May 6th.? What? May 6th? That's right. I called back and was told the only thing they could do was offer a 10% off coupon for my next purchase. THERE WILL BE NO OTHER PURCHASES FROM WAYFAIR! EVER! Thanks Wayfair - keep your coupon. Goodbye!
I was super disappointed to hear that within hours of buying a chair, Wayfair dropped the price $50 and would not lower the price I paid, since a shipping number was already generated. When asked if I could cancel, they told me I would have to pay return shipping fees.
We purchased a cuisinart mixing bowl for 279 $ plus tax and 3 days later they dropped off the price down to 235 $. We called the costumer service and her name victoria to match the price or to get a credit for the next time purchase but they refused. Don't make the same mistake guys and shop somewhere else...
I have placed order 3 times from wayfair and after placing the order within hours the price of the products went down and they don't agree to match the price even when I have not received the delivery yet... and if I want to return the product they will deduct a return fee and credit the balance back! They are just running a scam business, they are hell over priced and do not have any customer friendly policies.
If they continue operating like this, I am sure they will see new locks on the business doors soon. Go for Structube or ikea for that matter they are the best! Hate wayfair, never buying again!
My order was cancelled without my knowledge and without any consultation or cancellation email. When we called back to rectify this error one of the items was then out of stock (it was not out of stock according to the website when it was originally ordered) and the replacement item offered not only cost more but it was also not an equal value to the item that I lost the opportunity to purchase. We were promised, at least, that the replacement would be offered at the same price as the item that was cancelled, but this was not indicated on the email receipt I received. I called customer support and I was told there was nothing they could do to lower the price. This was my first time ordering from Wayfair and this couldn't have been a more disappointing or frustrating experience. Nothing was done by any of the staff to correct the mistake that THEY made and in the end we're now paying more money for an inferior product. I will definitely never shop with Wayfair again and I will counsel everyone I know and everyone they know to follow suit.
