My concern about future service issues when such a large corporation (Waste Management) took over our local trash service, came to pass this week. Our trash cart dissapeared when the truck came to empty our trash. Of course, we were very confused as to what may have happened, as there was no communication from WM. As was my fear, I spent 6 days TRYING to speak, email or message customer service. I spent hours of my time on their website, online chats, phone calls, etc. Unfortunately, while I heard the recording over and over (while on hold) how easy it is to take care of scheduling and issues on their website, it is DEFINITELY NOT SO! There was NO prompt to speak with someone and was only able to succeed with talking to a live person when I stated I wanted to cancel service. Even then, I was put on hold for 25 minutes as the customer service rep said she would have to transfer me to someone else to complete cancelation. After 25 minutes, I was disconnected and had to start over! In one phone call to a locally owned service, I arranged for new trash service and completed the paperwork while STILL on hold with Waste Management. I would not recommend Waste Management to anyone who likes good customer service and being able to reach someone if a problem develops.

Horrible

Horrible customer service and Horrible service! Driver lied about pick up 3 days in a row and still my trash is outside my house on the curb! Customer service is useless and instead of making the customer care happy they are rude!

Rude rude rude

Called to cancel service. First thing said when he answered phone in customer service was "what's the problem"
Told him need to.cancel service he asked why rudely. Felt he didn't need to know. He kept at it. I got very upset and told him he was being rude. Finally got serviced canceled however b4 hanging up he information me of a 110.00 pick up our tote fee. After all of the horrible customer service I'm glad to pay it to never go.back. Stay away.

HORRIBLE SERVICE

WM bought out our previous company (Advanced Disposal) and since then it's been horrible service. They raised my rates, decreased the number of pickups, and don't even show up half the time. I really wish I had the old company back

Waste Management of Orange Park sucks the reason why I say so is because they totally refute the recycling process. If you happen to fill your recycling receptacle they advise you to just mix it with garbage which totally voids the reason why we're recycling anyway a lot of times the workers leave bottles in the street and this is totally unacceptable when you're paying taxes to keep these people employed. Why do we even have a recycling division in Orange Park if they can't fulfill their job duties to the fullest extent?

Run away from WM
March 20, 2023

We have had WM for about 1 year and switching over to Priority. At least once a month my trash was skipped, for the most part when I spoke to them they sent someone the next day to pick up. I was frustrated because they always blamed it on me for them not being able to pick up and it was never my fault. Once it was not picked up because it weighed over 50lb and I offered to go out and wait for them to come back and weight every piece of trash to show it was not heavy where they couldn't move the bin. Another time they said it was not out on time, yes we placed it out the night before. A few times they stated it was not out and I was actually out and seen them pass on the Main Street but never pulled to our private street. And yes at least once a month they blamed me for their mistake. On 3/7/23 it was the last straw, they were supposed to pick up and they didn't. When I chatted she said my bin was frozen to ground, I asked for the video since I know they are supposed to have a video of the pick up. She then changed the story to street not safe for driver, when confronting her why she changed her story magically the chat ended. Started a chat back l, the guy I chatted with says my streets is not safe and trash pickup will be the following week. Now not sure how safe they need the street to be 3/7 was way after the snow storm and what am I suppose to do with the extra trash! I didn't have more room in the bin and it can't weigh more than 50lb. That was all I needed, called and cancelled and got Priority who don't have a limit on their trash and according to my neighbors they are very reliable unlike WM.
Update… chatted today to make sure the empty bin will be picked up like they said and guess what… chat ended, their solution to everything hang up and end the chat, photo attached of the chat

They have continued to charge my account for months after the business was closed. They were informed by email that the business will be closing and to cancel the account ahead of time. They are running more of a scam then anything else. They would also charge crazy stupid fees, for the lids being left open or even for it being fully loaded. They expect you to load only half of what you pay for. Avoid working with them at all costs.

Stay Far Away From This Pathetic Company

When signing on, it was 35 (give or take, no price is ever set in stone with them) for both recycling and trash pickup for a 96 gallon bin. Sounds great right? Absolutely not. In the first three months they picked up our trash 3 times. Out of 12 weeks worth of PAID trash pickup it happened three times. After getting the run around, they say they need a lease to drive down our driveway, which is not private. They take forever for that. Even after that they took weeks and claimed they never got it, so i sign one electronically. With this they tacked on unbeknownst to me and never a price agreed upon, a carry out service which upped the bill to 120. Never got refunded for the months I didn't have service.
Basically, go with anyone else, this company is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their rating says it all, hopefully you were smarter and checked these reviews first.

GARBAGE ALL OVER THE ROAD

I ALWAYS HAVE TO GO OUT AND PICK UP ALL THE GARBAGE THEY LEFT ON ROAD FROM THROWING BAGS INTO TRUCK. I guess they don't know how to use the bin dumper.

Been using WM for several years now and am fed up.
When I enrolled with them, they committed to a discount to my service while autopay was on; removed it after a few months like I wouldn't notice and then tried to gaslight when I called it out.
Went through a strike in my area and cut service back, with no communication, to once a month, despite charging the same rates; then - without notice - increased rates thereafter.
And most recently, began leaving trash behind. Three times in two months have the skipped my container, left trash inside the container or left items placed next to the container (despite advising that I could leave these items near the container and they would be picked up and having historically picked items up for the past 2-3 years).

When reaching out to customer service for support, they offered no support - saying: "If we picked up stuff not in the container previously, it was a courtesy. We don't do that."

Iv been with them for over 15 years, past few years always some time of overcharging, tried to cancel with them last November they lied to me and ensured me that they will take care of the problems that we had before, 4 months later and my bill is $480 instead of $118 and tired of calling them every month, writing a contract doesn't mean anything to them, they will just charge you what they want next month, going to cancel and ask my lawyer to deal with cancellation fees.
Stay away, they will turn your life into garbage by picking up your garbage!

Horrible service

Ever since they bought Ray's Trash in Indianapolis and surrounding counties the service is horrible. Multiple calls and you get the run around if you ever get a human. Most of it is automated and probably the reason why they have that is because of the horrible service, and still expect payment for missed pick.ups! Come Waste.Management get it together.
Sounds like they need to get Brad Jacobs in there at the helm again to get it straightened out.

Overpaid lackeys

Not only do they often miss days, they don't have anyone to answer their phones. Went through the automated phone tree to report a missing bin but all it did was reformed to their website. I guess I can no longer recycle. I'm so tired of these lackeys that literally gave the easiest job in the entire world, get paid a fortune and still can't perform a job that simply requires sitting down! I wish there were a better service available.

WM is the Worst... Run!

WM is the worst corporation I have run into & that is saying a lot! WM is terribly inconsistent & at the least sign of inclement weather our garbage does not get picked up. Even though the roads are clear & EVERY ONE ELSE is driving, these guys in their huge heavy trucks are too scared to pick up our garbage. YET, WM still charges for the garbage that didn't get picked up! That is robbery! Also WM never alerts us when they are aren't going to pick up our garbage. They say they will but they don't. So, we haul our bins out & wait... only to have to haul them back in again. I have called WM several times & am told "we alerted you" but that is a LIE! I received no alert & none of my neighbors did either. Too lazy to alert their customers, too wimpy to do their job & too greedy to NOT charge for a job not done & CS lying to their customers?! Great company, WM! If I could go elsewhere I would & if anyone out there can... RUN!

Worst company ever!

I have wasted hors of my life and endured alot of stress dealing with this company. Previously they were cheaper waste. They are incompetent, misleading, unprofessional and very expensive. I tried to leave but was tricked into another years contract, no concessions for covid,
Was eventually told customer service email was unmanned, then they tried to take me to court for termination fees but would not speak to me to discuss or explain. Fortunately I had proof of termination notice and dates/times and names of people I spoke to reassuring me account was settled so case was dropped. I am now with a company who is over £300 a year cheaper with a much better service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
