PLEASE pay attention to the bad reviews Warby Parker has received as ALL of them are correct... why beat a dead dog with another BAD review. Can't believe some Medicare plans offer Warby Parker as the supplier. It has been over 2 1/2 weeks and they only could say... we sent you an email. I have a business and I don't have time to monitor every email. The amount of time it would take to leave me a voice mail would be amount the same amount of time to send an email.
I purchased two pair of glasses, two days apart.
One single vision distance and one reader prescription. The second pair purchased 3-4-2020 we delivered today, 3-7-2020.
When I called to inquire about the first pair, Jenny, explained different labs work at different turn around times and the first pair bought would be delivered by 3-16-2020.
No answer as to why all orders don't go to the labs with the best customer service.
Paid $95 for a pair of glasses that hurt my eyes. I'm almost certain they're the wrong prescription. On top of it seems they forgot to fit the left lens into the actual frames... just looks like they tried to forcefully push it in rather than shaping it which has bent the left side of the frame. Quality control?
I received frames with plain glass lenses instead of my prescription. My receipt clearly indicated that they were supposed to be Rx lenses.
I have had my ames glasses for two years and love them. Ordered a new pair because my prescription changed and the quality has gone WAYYYYYY DOWNNNN despite being the same price. The bottom "Stainless steel" part that looks stainless on my old glasses now looks cheep and plasticy fake metal looking. Even the written stamping on the inside of the arms is less precise and overall I'm just so sad they've gotten worse more like 80 dollar glasses now not 145. Going to return and find something else.
I bought a pair at the store and never got them, I had to fight with them but after more than 3 weeks they had to reimburse me.
I'm not sure their business is based on cashing the money and reimburse you a month later. I call this a free loan.
Very dissapointed
I'm very disappointed in Warby Parker. Originally I was super excited about this company. I got a free try on of 5 different frames, and I was even able to keep them longer than expected (we had horrible weather and I have 4 children so getting to a post office isn't always easy to do). Well anyways, I had asked if I could just keep the frames I loved and give them to my eye doctor as I was going to have them put the lenses in since it is completely covered by my insurance. I was told I could and I would be "billed", meaning receiving an invoice to pay, as soon as they got the other four lenses back. Well apparently to Warby Parker, "billed" means charged without a heads up. I never received an email or invoice about a total payment, nothing. The money was just taken from mine and my husbands account. I wouldn't have even known if I didn't watch my account like a hawk. I even have the app and I didn't even get a notification. This is very upsetting and an inconvenience. I contacted customer support and they were less than helpful. Had no remorse for taking money from my account without my say so. Very condescending attitudes. I cannot believe that they are able to just charge cards without authorization or notice. Any other company will tell you about being "charged". Not "billed" if they're going to take money directly from your account. Due to the horrible customer service experience of them not even wanting to make this right, I will not be using Warby Parker again. If this company would learn to communicate with their customers, most of these negative reviews wouldn't exist. How they are still in business, is completely beyond me. I'm just hoping my frames hold up, as I have read that many people have had horrible luck with their frames breaking. I'd look elsewhere if you're reading this review.
My Order Number: *******
This order was placed in Tyson Corner Mall Store.
I have ordered my glasses on mid Dec-2019 and was told that I will receive my glasses in 2 weeks. Upon several requests the company responded on Feb-05-2020 saying that my glasses were shipped. The way they handle the orders is pathetic and no control. Please beware if you order from this company. Suggestion is that we should not commit full amount when you place an order. Should only commit around 1/4 of the price to have a flexibility of cancellation of the order.
Thanks,

Christmas gift from my daughter... a much needed new pair of glasses. Visit the GSP store, find a pair of frames I like (99% of their frames are the same style). Get the eye exam; receive the glasses. Excitement! Til I put them on to drive and the roadway is in my mouth! These glasses make me feel like I'm sitting ON the roadway driving. It shouldn't be that way. Go back, get ANOTHER eye exam, get the new glasses - more excitement. Put them on, try to drive and same scenario: I'm sitting on the roadway. And I drive a smaller SUV so there's no way I should feel like I'm sitting on the road. I file another complaint. I'm told to visit them AGAIN (3rd time's a charm right? Huh) with my old spec's so they can compare. How is that different than the first two times I was there WITH my old specs? Additional issue: this was a GIFT. Now the gift giver is STUCK with a Warby parker gift card. Never again... visit your local optometrist, Lenscrafters etc... don't waste your time here.
We purchased a pair of glasses for our daughter. She couldn't see properly out of them and we complained enough that Warby Parker redid the lenses. We went to the Opthamolgist with the glasses and they are STILL incorrect and the center is a full 1/4" off of where the lens should sit. The doctor knew right away that the glasses must have been from Warby Parker is said that 90% of the their glasses are Wong. Awful - don't go to Warby Parker.
I work full time in the medical field so there is only a small window in my days to make it to the store to buy glasses. I went online and picked 5 pairs and they came within a few days. I liked about 3 out of 5 pairs, only 1 pair felt on the cheap side. Since I could keep the try on ones for 5 days I actually wore a few out with contacts just to really try them out which was kinda fun. I returned them after the 5 days and ordered the pair I wanted online, it was super easy only took a minute to upload my script. The glasses came about 7 days after ordering them. They came in the cutest box and a nice case with a cloth. I ended up accidentally ordering the wide pair instead of the narrow pair so they were way to big. I called the number online, they rep ordered me new ones right away and told me If I wanted I could keep the glasses that are to big until I receive the ones that will fit me better. The entire phone call to get this fixed only took about 2 minutes, by the time I hung up the phone I had two emails one with a new order confirmation and one with the return label. I honestly couldn't be happier with my experience. I was a little skeptical at first but I will definitely be ordering from them again. Also they state on their website to file a claim if they don't take your insurance, I didn't believe they actually would but my insurance company actually did end up reimbursing me $65.
A total letdown at every level. Called the toll free number ans was told they could do my prescription... called the local store to verify - same story. Spent an hour in the store, ordered the glasses (and paid) and was told 2 days later that they could not fill my order. Customer service promised me a call back... still waiting. STAY AWAY from this company - go to your local peeps so you have some real service.
Being tired of paying excessive prices for eyewear, I was happy to come across Warby Parker. I like market disruptors and was intrigued with their business model. I was hoping to have found the Zappos of the optical business.
Nothing could be farther from the truth. Customer service was awful; promised delivery timeframe was not even close to met. In fact, on the day i was expecting delivery, I went online to check out the status of my order. And then engaged in an online chat with a "customer service" specialist. Only to be told that not only had my glasses not yet shipped, but that the order hadn't even been processed.
Too bad. There is an opportunity for some lower-cost, online, strong customer service player in this market. It's just not Warby Parker.
Sadly, back to LensCrafters for me.
I ordered my prescription glasses. I then received a call that they could not fill my prescription. I decided with the associate to get the frame and have it made up locally. I only wanted this frame in blue. But apparently they were out of the blue and without saying anything to me they just sent it in tortoise. By the way I have been wearing glasses for 55 years and these were the most uncomfortable ever.
Warby Parker is just cheep made plastic from China. They started out at $95 but that didn't last long. At $95 they're an ok product. If you have to pay more just buy a quality pair of shades that last. They're cheaply made.
I have noticed that warby Parker does not hire any minority contractors for their store buildouts nor their systems upgrades. Its very disturbing and seems to be a pervasive issue..
Over-hyped, over-priced, crappy quality. I've had my glasses readjusted three times and they still don't fit. The people who work there don't know what they are doing. Huge disappointment.
I bought two pairs of glasses for my daughters which at some point broke. We went back the second time last week after the summer break as my daughters did not use glasses over the summer. They took my credit card information and said its all done. Shipping was an outrageous $60 each if I wanted to get them in two days. Then two days later they sent me emails that they could not process the credit card even though they took payment at the store. So so much for getting them before school starts. Go at your own risk. You will wait a long time unless you pay for super expensive shipping and they will break soon after. Its probably one of the worst places to buy glasses.
Ordered a pair of glasses using their home try-on service. As another reviewer commented, they're quick to send those out. I placed an order for glasses, and then the problems started. First, they made a mistake with the charges for thin lenses, which I had to point out to them. Then their customer service ghosted me. No one responded to e-mails or live chats asking for a status update. I did finally reach a customer service rep by phone. But really, if a company is going to tell customers to reach out by e-mail or live chat, customers should not have to jump through hoops to reach someone. I truly hope that the glasses I ordered will be up to snuff but now based on the problems I've already experienced, I'm really worried...
They r tooo much damn money! They get the prescription wrong and not to mention if I NEED GLASSES THEN I WILL GO TO AMERICA'S BEST AND GET 2 PAIR OF GLASSES FOR 69.99( 70 DOLLARS AND A FREE EYE EXAM TOO!) U ALL SUCK BALLS! I WILL AND WOULD EVER PAY FOR GLASSES THAT COST WAAAAAY TO $#*!IN MUCH! U ALL SUCK BALLS U MONEY HUNGRY SON OF A $#*!ES! GO $#*! URSELVES!
Answer: $95-$145 for single vision depending on the frame material.
Answer: Save the heartache and go to a better provider. I ordered progressives and could not see out of them. I went back 5 times and they wouldn't correct the lenses. After the first 3 visits, they made me go back to the Optometrist to check the prescription. I did that, and they still said the problem was the prescription, so I went to another optometrist who also said the prescription was good. When I took that info back to Warby Parker, the said they can't make glasses for me. I asked for my money back and am still waiting.
Warby Parker sells its own line of designer prescription glasses and sunglasses. Warby Parker is based in New York City and has retail locations in several cities including LA and San Francisco. The Warby Parker name comes from two fictional characters created by Jack Kerouac.
