I purchased glasses from them and they stated they would reach out to my optometrist to obtain the prescription. After a week, they didn't do anything. I had to call and obtain my prescription and then scan it to them. So for the first part, if you refuse to do something in which you have a specific option for people to select? How about you don't make that option available? So 1 week wasted.
Secondly, apparently they needed distance from pupil to pupil. I took a picture at arms length with a credit card. I sent it in. It wasn't good enough. I sent another one. Not good enough. This went back and forth for a week or so, where I had sent literally 10+ pictures. When I finally included some obscenities and stated I will simply cancel my order and go to a local company, they looked in and said I was doing everything right, but I didn't put the "magnetic strip" showing in front. Which I do not remember EVER them saying that was a requirement. Even if I missed that, it shouldn't take 10+ back and forths over a week with them stating "Make sure your at arms length, make sure your looking at your lense" etc... when I was doing it correct the entire time. No mention of the strip ever in any of the communications except the last.
Now the last gripe is a personal one. I am a democrat but I am a classic liberal. The woman I spoke with decided to use She /Her /... in her tag line. I personally loathe people like this. Virtue signalers to the extreme. They will get either Trump elected or another person like Trump elected. They are so completely utterly blind of their own actions and they are hurting their own cause which also makes them appear so unbelievably stupid. I don't like stupid people and I don't like stupid companies. And more importantly, companies should not have employees espousing political ideologies in their interactions.
Now granted they can. But it is once again, a DUMB choice on the part of a company. I cancelled my order, and went to a local lens crafters and was in and out in 15 minutes.
Each year my eyesight deteriorates. Each year I need new glasses. Each year glasses become more expensive. This year even insurance wouldn't cover the full price of glasses at the optometrist (or any glasses store near me). So shopping online was the only option left. Several companies wouldn't or couldn't accommodate the lenses needed for my prescription. Warby Parker didn't blink. Yep, we can do it. So, after trying on (at home!) 10 pairs of glasses, I found exactly what I wanted, took a deep breath, and ordered. When the glasses arrived I was fully prepared for the ‘get used to them' stage that always accompanies new glasses. Slipping on the glasses was a joy. They fit perfectly. They looked great. There was no ‘getting used to them' stage. My sight was clear, the progressive lenses didn't make me slightly nauseous or create momentary depth perception difficulties. Oh, and I submitted the bilI to my insurance. Fully covered! I could not be happier. Next year Warby Parker will be making my new glasses.
I bought glasses from here twice. First time there were no stores to get frames adjusted, and no real issue. Pricey glasses compared to other online vendors who seem to be able to turn out as quality product.
Fast forward a few years, I decided on a new pair from WB and another vendor to mix it up. Other vendor have not had a scratch my my 6-month lenses yet, NO adjustment, seemingly great everything. WP? Ugh. Glasses are heavy, seem quality but literally have not worn them much* and I have scratches already. Glasses feel heavy but not ok bc they hurt. Have gone to them 3+ times to get adjustments and almost every person has barely fixed a thing. Problem is the mask that you can't take off. Also staff at the door could learn some manners. On top of that staff seems uneducated on product... I think I'm officially breaking up. I'll save my money and stick with the other no-hassle vendor I found. I just don't have time to screw around to see especially after dropping $$$ to do so. Not worth it!
$275 to replace a single lens with nonprescription glass. They charge you to replace BOTH lenses, because that's how they do it they told me. Rip off.
They rely on the US postal service that has been wrecked by neglect. The USPS lost one of my home trials and delivered the other one to some random place in Wyoming. Still waiting for my refund. Glad I won't have to use this Warby Parker for glasses anymore.
You get what you pay for.
I suggest you use your eye glass doctor's office for your glasses. It will cost you 50-100 dollars more, but the quality will be much better, as will the service. The cheap lens I got from WP lasted less than a year before they were covered in scratches and virtually useless. I called to see what they could do for me, and was told I was past any warranty period. This was right at 11 months when I called.
Lesson learned.
As a note, my previous pair of glasses lasted me right at 20 years before I finally retired them with no scratches after scores of times dropping them.
Really happy with my experience. The glasses are stylish. The eye exam was easy. The price for the frames wasn't too bad. The delivery went smooth. Will use them again.
Advertising is offensive. Advertising should be reflective of your target customers not what you feel is politically correct
Got a pair of subscription sunglasses for slightly under $500. In under 2 years, the coating on my sunglass lenses (both) are bubbling/cracking, as shown in photo. Warranty is only 1 year. This is clearly a manufacturing defect. The salesperson would not even look at my glasses and was also very rude. Tried calling another store for assistance. Best they'd offer is $30 off a replacement lens. That would cost me another $400. No thanks. Will never shop at Warby Parker again.
My stepmom and I ordered 2 pairs of glasses each, they said all we had to do was upload our prescriptions and we would get them the following week because we paid extra to have them expedited. It has been almost 2 months and she still doesn't have her glasses and I have 3 pairs of one and still haven't gotten the second pair I ordered. This has been the worst experience with glasses that I have ever experienced and I will never go back or recommend them to anyone.
My wife and I went to the local store to order glasses right before Christmas. We both use the same eye doctor. The next day, my wife got an email that they had her prescription and here glasses were being made. I got an email that they couldn't get my prescription and i need to get it and email it to them. After the holidays, I got my prescription with zero issues and followed their instructions for emailing it to them. In the meantime my wife gets her glasses with no issues and it completely happy. I'm waiting and waiting. All the status on the website says is Processing. There was no other information but crazy me thinks they are processing my order. After a couple of weeks I reach out to customer service. They were very helpful but said they had never received my prescription. So I re-sent it and the customer service person makes sure it gets in the system and processing. I'm frustrated that there was not enough information from the company (either communication or status in their online system) for me to know there was an issue. Not sure what would have happened if I just kept waiting and trying to be patient. Hopefully I get them in 14 days when they say I should expect them.
The eye exam experience was great. They offer some of those modern fresh glasses designs and the prices are reasonable. The durability feels a tad below some high end glasses, but you can buy maybe 3 pairs for the price and have spares and different styles to wear with different outfits. I've bought like 7 pairs over the years.
I checked out these guys as I needed to get new glasses. I did not find them to be any cheaper than others. Also, in drilling down the info, I learned that this is a CHINESE company with all the product originating there. It is made to sound like a European firm, but it is just a front. I'd rather keep the money domestic.
I did more research and found many customers that were not satisfied never achieved resolution to their issues.
What has happened since then is an onslaught of emails from them and their "affiliates". They sold my email address ASAP and now I get more spam. Not a great place to do business.
I just want to say: I am SO glad that I didn't listen to the "bad reviews" I saw on this company. Look: it's not Warby Parker's fault that you don't know how to navigate a website. It's not their fault that you sat on your glasses. It's not their fault USPS is failing lately. They were fast, helpful and the product is FLAWLESS. My frames feel heavy and expensive, my lenses are perfect. Highly recommend this company if you're not dense.
Absolute junk. I never do these reviews, but just want to warn fellow consumers that these glasses are overpriced JUNK. My pair literally fell apart in two weeks. Little screws were gone in TWO WEEKS. Now I have to go have somebody repair these. Stay as far away from this company as possible
They sell lots of modern hipsterish plastic glasses. I buy a few different colors so I mix up the colors and styles with different outfits. Good quality and they deliver in a strong cardboard box. I wish they had a few more traditional metal styles, but they have a good mix of the trendy stuff. As a bonus they give away free glasses to charity with purchases which is something I'd like to see more of in corporate America.
1st pair glasses lenses scratched, 2nd pair scratched again, Lense quality very poor-do not buy Awful
I got my first pair of Warby Parker glasses a couple years ago and it was such an easy and painless experience. Figured I'd try it again for my next pair of glasses and boy was I wrong! It took me 6-7 tries to get them to measure my PD and by the 7th time I gave ip and cancelled my order. So inconvenient and so annoying. I kept getting the same responses of either my picture was too far away or too close. I do not recommend them. The quality of their glasses has gone way down because of popularity and it's just not work the $145.
Such a great company with great products. I've been buying my sunglasses from them for the past 4 years or so. They stand behind their product and they dont play games. They have replaced my frames and my lenses with absolute no problem. Great customer service. Not cheap but totally worth it.
Answer: $95-$145 for single vision depending on the frame material.
Answer: Save the heartache and go to a better provider. I ordered progressives and could not see out of them. I went back 5 times and they wouldn't correct the lenses. After the first 3 visits, they made me go back to the Optometrist to check the prescription. I did that, and they still said the problem was the prescription, so I went to another optometrist who also said the prescription was good. When I took that info back to Warby Parker, the said they can't make glasses for me. I asked for my money back and am still waiting.
Warby Parker sells its own line of designer prescription glasses and sunglasses. Warby Parker is based in New York City and has retail locations in several cities including LA and San Francisco. The Warby Parker name comes from two fictional characters created by Jack Kerouac.
