My card was recently hacked and I lost all my money on it. I tried contacting them since the charges were pending so they could stop the illegal transactions. I cannot reach anyone from Walmart or Greendot who the card is actually through. No one will answer to help at all. I would advise getting a legit credit card if you can or use any pre-load card that does not use Greendot bank. I gave it a single star because a negative rating was not available.
First off, the customer service sucks! Don't use this card, they take 5.00 dollars every month but can't put your money on time.
Well I signed up to Walmart money card basically being promised an early deposit. Instead of an early or even normal/realistic timeline they give me a day late then my government benefits should have posted. I actually getting paid 6 days later then all my friends or even my old bank do not use walmart money card 7 calls 7 different promises never one straight answer only empty promises and denies claims of early pay FOR GOVERNMENT BENEFITS
Recieved a gift card for a Christmas present. To activate the card you have to give them all of your personal info. Why do they need my SS# just to activate a gift card. They make you consent to recieve solicitation calls and texts to activate. I would rather pay $50 to not recieve solicitation calls. Do not buy this as a present for someone.
So I never received my stimulus check from a year ago and my letter states that it was directly sent to this bank but the bank knows nothing then I received a message saying I exceeded my limit this happened on Friday night almost 6 days ago and I am still not able to withdraw funds it never reset the limit so I called and after holding for 21 min the supervisor picks up and acts like he can't hear me then hangs up! I keep noticing a few dollars here and there not accounted for as well and again they know nothing. No local bank nothing it's like they are holding my funds not resetting the account so they can keep making money off of transactions terrible service
I made a purchase on 12/10/20. The purchase was made with Wal-Mart.com. They cancelled the purchase on 12/13/20 because they didn't have the item in stock. Wal-Mart.com reversed the charges on 12/15/20. I was told that my money would be refunded to my card by 12/22/20. It still isn't on my card. The customer service representative are rude and they hang the phone up on you when you ask to speak to a supervisor. I wonder why it only takes seconds for them to take your money off your card and now it's going on 2 weeks and I'm still waiting on a refund. I suggest that you don't make a purchase with a Wal-Mart money card unless you can afford to let them hold your money until they feel like giving it back to you.
Called customer service instantly when I was billed fraudulently. Sat on hold for 1 1/2 hours. Was told they could not do anything even though transaction was still pending. They said after transaction went thru file an appeal. I sent an email which they ignored for 2 weeks then sent me a email telling me to send another email listing the exact same steps I already did in the 1st email. I would never again use their garbage card again. Keep the money. I will use every chance I get to trash their worthless waste of time product
My direct deposit was going in the same account for over a year and this l ast one November 26 was sent back and reposted in a wrong account November 30 I cannot get any answers and am refused a supervisor

I've been a user for years, but the customer service the last 6 months has absolutely sucked. To make matters worse, my card expired in November. I called twice before it expired, because I hadn't received the renewal card and was told both times not to worry about it. Then I call again the day AFTER the card expired and was told that because it was already expired, they were unable to renew it so I'd have to buy a new card and they could only return my money to me by paper check in 10 days! They have my phone number, email address and physical address... yet they couldn't bother to tell me that there was a problem with renewing my card? No way... never again... I'm moving to Chime and AmEx Bluebird.
Like others I have tried green dot who passed the buck to Walmart.com who tried the same. I am still out of $500 but the Walmart store manager had taken my info and will be getting back to me. If that does not work I worked in Retail for 25+ years and have a corporate attorney as my friend. This has caused me much stress as I am disabled with many problems here at Thanksgiving 2020. Hopefully all will turn out okay but if not I will probably get 10x or more for this very stressful time and loss of holiday funds I bought it for Black Friday deals and Christmas gifts.
Had a hotel stay on 10/9/20 where I had two charges my on my card. One for the hotel stay and the other for $115 for a pending deposit. Walmart told me the funds would be credited back to my account after 31 days. Today I spoke with two reps Eva bag#******* and then supervisor Heide bag#*******. Eva told me I was never charged so there is nothing to refund and that they deleted the transaction from my account (Wow- how do you delete history.) I got online with the supervisor who apologized for Eva given me the wrong information and said the money was credited back but I just can't see it. I proceeded by saying, that makes no sense. Why would you credit money back and not post it for me to see? Heidi then advised I would just have to add up all of my transactions to confirm if the $115 was added back to my account. I have used this payroll card since 2013 and have ran into a couple issues but nothing like this one. I'm normally not one to leave a review but the fact that we are in a pandemic and to have a wealthy company like Walmart do business like this and not have a legit explanation as to why is unacceptable and not a company I can continue to support. My account will be closed on Monday after my last deposit. Please see photos below.
Don't do it! They have the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced! I have been locked out of my card for 2 weeks now! I will never be a customer again!
I am on a fixed income and my money goes direct deposit to WMMC and has for 4 years. Recently someone got my information somehow and the very day my check got direct deposited, it was immediately successful dry from GOOGLE PAY charges to some type of online game. There were 34 completed transactions which started out with 7 back to back for 54.31 then the amounts gradually went down until I was left with. 16 in my account. I didnt even realize my check had been direct deposited because all I was checking was my balance. It wasn't until I called Social security to ask why my $ hadn't been deposited that I was told it had been deposited as usual. The lady told me to activate my card then check my balance and see if my account had been credited. Well it hasn't and I got my eviction notice today. So, thanks Walmart.
If you're like me and avoiding unnecessary exposure to indoor crowds, when you can get it delivered to your door, during the pandemic; this card is not for me, because you have to go into an enclosed environment (Walmart) to withdraw money. You need a smartphone to do important security changes like your "pin", you can't do it any other way. I don't carry my phone with me in the car anymore, since my friend got 6 years in prison for texting while killing someone running across the street (not in a crosswalk). So this card forces potential unsafe behaviors.
I should have checked reviews on this card. I use it to keep myself on a budget. I was transferring money weekly from my checking account. They say 3 business days. Never works that way. I made the deposit on the 6th, came out of my checking on the 9th and as of the eve of the 12th I still have no money. Customer service is a waste of time. I've called for other things to like, half the time I go in to deposit I get an error message that I can't make a deposit over $100 for my first time. I've been making weekly deposits for months. I call customer service and they say I have to wait until the next day for it to "reset". So I try to be proactive knowing my money won't transfer for 6 or 7 days and then I have to add another day for resetting. I've had this happen at least 4 times in the 2.5 months I've had the card. DO NOT GET THIS CARD. It will only bring you frustration.
They are horrible! The reps are complete idiots & don't speak English. Then they have the Adaucity to try & get an attitude & be loud with you because you can't understand them & their slow asses can't understand me. I have over 2000$ on my card all because I'm still waiting on my freaking replacement card. The first original card was supposed to be sent off on 10/20 and it takes 10 business days. Never received. Decided to do expedite and now I still can't get the card cause fed ex won't deliver and Walmart $#*!s won't help. Worse experience ever. I will never trust them with my money again. If you are looking for debit direct deposit. Run the other way! Get a bank account instead ppl!

Even though it has Master card or Visa logo, you DO NOT have any protection like a real bank card! If you order something online and it never shows up or you find out you have been scammed, you are on your own. They are willing to make you pay fees to use their card, but offer nothing in return. I could go on and on. Do not buy into this card!
We put in 30 dollars and we bought something on Amazon for 21 dollars and they charged us a fee of 5.95 so we canceled the order and we can't get our money back because we canceled the order before it shipped. BTW STOP ASKING PEOPLE FOR THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS IM NOT GIVING YOU $#*! IM GOING BACK TO THE VANILLA VISA GIFTCARD WHAT A $#*!ING RIP OFF 30 DOLLARS DOWN THE DRAIN
If there was a zero, I would give a zero for this card. This card was given to me as gift card, I used the balance then they charged a monthly fee, leaving a negative balance on the card. I attempted to call and checked the website to cancel the card no options! Reported the card lost in an effort to cancel the card, and requested that no replacement card be sent, a couple of days later a new card was received in the mail and a $3.00 fee was charged. Several calls were made there is no option to ever talk to a representative. IF YOU DO NOT NEED THIS CARD I RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT PURCHASE IT.
