Walmart's reputation is mixed, with customers appreciating its wide product selection and competitive pricing, which enhance accessibility and affordability. However, significant concerns arise regarding delivery reliability, order accuracy, and customer service quality. Many reviews highlight frustrations with unfulfilled orders, inadequate support during issues, and negative interactions with staff. While some customers express loyalty and satisfaction with the overall shopping experience, others report feeling undervalued and dissatisfied, suggesting a need for improvements in communication, order management, and customer support to enhance overall service and restore confidence among shoppers.

Best place to buy anything and everything. I have been shopping in Walmart it seems for ever and i had a problem once where they billed me wrongly. But the refund process was so quick and i had no problem.
Well I got double billed the other day at Walmart in Salem, NH (not their fault as it was a self checkout glitch and not caught at the time. So went to Walmart in Methuen, MA to get the whole less than $1.50 back, waited about 30 mins while some customers argued with the service desk, etc. So when it was my turn, I found out that since this Walmart doesn't carry the item (produce), I must go back to the other one (or perhaps find a Walmart that has produce) and get the refund there. What a pain! I will be out of the country shortly for a bit of time, and will have to do this upon my return. Almost easier to just have my credit card company do the refund as a dispute.
--> You would think that since this was a Walmart, that any Walmart could do the refund, but no!... And why not? This is definitely an issue unfortunately - any Walmart should be able to honor anything another Walmart can do...
I sometimes wonder why I go to Walmart.:-(
I went to the Walmart on Willow rd in McDonough GA to print photos, Shawn, the clerk i Photo did an exceptional job. He was helping customers having difficulty with thr photo machines and apologized each time. Thank you Shawn you made my day.
When searching, be sure to check the Walmart check box for seller and leave the others unchecked. If there is an issue with the order, Walmart won't handle or let you contact the seller directly. Instead you have to go through their forms for communication. The other sellers also ship slower and tend to ship the wrong thing, which is how I learned all this.
That said, ordering from Walmart online is a decent experience. It is clear from their site why they will always be behind Amazon, but some things are cheaper at Walmart, they offer free shipping over $35 and the shipping charges are reasonable.
Shut them all down. There customer service i swear they are actors with great talent that treat customers like crap. There stores for some reason always have an odor to them that makes me sick
Walmart has went above and beyond by allowing it's customers to order online then pickup at the local store. They even have two day shipping where order comes right to your front door. For someone like me that is disable this is a great service.
We ordered a tablet online, Canada Post tracking shows it showed up at the store but no one seems to be willing to try and help track it down. We have now spent hours in the store and on hold trying to sort it out. Sad part is they have my money and now there is no service
Be careful ordering from LVNV Toys. They are a whole seller through WalMart. And while they are located in Temple City, CA, the email I received about an item I want to return is strangely in broken English (like the Chinese scam sites), and they aren't paying for shipping (much like the Chinese scam sites), AND they are charging me a restocking fee of 20% (very much like the Chinese scam sites). So is it worth it to send back a 18.99 backpack when I have to pay the shipping and they are taking money too? I think not. So now I'm stuck with a backpack, that I'll likely find use for, but I will never order from them again. Here is the email I received. I love the threat to tell WalMart #imsoscared-not
When we get the package back, we will refund the money to your account. (RESTOCK FEES 20%)
The item must be in the manufacturer's original packaging, in brand new condition, and include all packing material.
MUST BE INCLUDED YOUR ORDER ID NUMBER
IF THE ITEM ALREADY USED AND WE WILL NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY ALSO REPORT TO WALMART
On 9/1/2018 I ordered a bed frame for my husband he was having knee surgery 9/5/18, he would not be able to recover upstairs in his bedroom as he would not be able walk up stairs after surgery. I had a mattress but needed a frame so he would be able to recover on the first floor of our two story home. The original delivery date was 9/4/2018 ( day before surgery), the frame didn't arrive until 9/11/2018. My husband ended up sleeping on mattress without frame for his 1st day of recovery after knee surgery, at that point I ordered the same bed frame from Amazon paid a higher price for frame and $20 dollar delivery fee to have it delivered on 9/6/2018, we did receive it and he was able to sleep on a mattress with frame 2nd day after surgery. The frame from Walmart still had not arrived with no call, email or update as to why, prior to the delivery on 9/11/2018 when I called Walmart in reference to the delivery there was no apology or since of urgency in reference to our situation. I was told I could not cancel the order as it was already in route, I had to wait for the merchandise to be delivered and then make arrangements for the return. I have had problems with delivery on previous orders from Walmart, but still trusted and relied on Walmart for good service. I will not be relying on Walmart again for my future needs nor will I recommend this service. I'm not sure if other consumers are having issues but as a long time customer my recommendation is that management look into the practices of the delivery service ( from online order until delivery) and further education for online customer service representatives as it pertains to the management, communication and problem solving solutions for Walmart consumers.
This is not the first time I had an issue purchasing online, I purchased tires aug. 31
They were shipped to the local walmart tire center a week later, I was told i had a week to pick them up or call to have them installed, I call to make the appointment, they gave me an 8AM appointment a week later (guess they were busy), I got there ay 8AM on saturday. My van didnt get inside until 9:30 and after another half hour while walking the store they tell me my tires are not the ones I ordered. I said they have been here a week and no one checked them? Didnt anyone check them before they sent them out? I asked if they had any tires in the store and maybe we can work something out, there answer was NO. Dont buy online! THEY SUCK
I started ordering regularly from walmart.com to replace my amazon addiction--they were getting snooty with their "prime" garbage--so the 1st few orders went well--felt pretty good about it--then the trouble started--whoever sends out their msgs is a hot mess--I'd have to call customer service half the time because they sent me bizarre msgs about my purchases. Then the last order I put in--I received the wrong item--so I had to call and print out a return label and make a special trip to the post office--fortunately I kept the receipt---because for the next few weeks I kept getting the "reminder" to send back my item. I checked the tracking number and they got it weeks ago--so NOW I had to call customer service and TELL them they were wrong--and when I asked, the rep. Said he COULD NOT send me a new msg indicating that the item had been returned--he was unable to send any emails apparently! Imagine that--sitting right in front of a computer and he can't send a single email! So I check my email 10 mins later and there is an email indicating they won't charge me again? Wth is going on with this company?--I told the guy on the phone that if they can't even send a simple email confirming my return-I would no longer do business with them again--and I won't---big loss--I buy everything online!
Horrible. Called 3 times with reference numbers. Finally was authorized a refund. Called later in the day item would be shipped. Already ordered item through another store. Held my project up over three weeks and was over three weeks holding my money. Never again will I use Walmart. Com. Wold have gave no stars but that was not an option.
Worst customer service ever. They don't care. They made an error oops its not there fault. Supervisor even hung up on me.
I have ordered from 3 different online sellers from walmart.com and not 1 order has ever shipped or been delivered. As they are trying to compete with Amazon they cant dont even bother wasting your time it will never arrive!
I have ordered many times from the Wal-Mart website using their site to store feature. Every single order I have placed I have received an email stating that at least one of the items was not actually available. Apparently their inventory system is severely lacking. Also when you order online to have the items shipped to your house, every single item will come in a separate package. Fun! I guess it is my own fault since for some reason I still continue to buy from them, so from their side there is no reason to improve. They need to stop trying to compete with Amazon because clearly they will never reach that level.
Worst online experience.
Bought a bike online at walmart.
It showed there were 2 in stock.
When I proceeded to check out the number dropped to 1 left, as I figured it would.
It remained at that number for 5 more days, then went to out of stock.
Curiously, I received a notice the next day (7 days after my purchase) stating there may be a delay getting (my) item. It went on to state "we're locating more of these item(s) and will send them to your store for pick up". There was further info stating "if we can't deliver the item(s) by Thu., August 30, we'll cancel the order and process a refund.' The 30th was 2 days later. This was not a good sign.
This sounded like such a canned, generic message as it never even mentioned my "item" by name.
Well, on the 30th came the bad news that the bike was out of stock.
It surely wasn't, when I bought it, and as I said, another one remained in stock for over 5 additional days. Something didn't smell right, here.
No, I'm convinced, they sold my bike to someone else.
According to one of the online supervisors I spoke with, this happens when a distribution center somewhere else has the item and it's too far away to ship to a closer center.
This means that someone who orders after you can get the item that you thought was coming to your house if they are fortunate enough to live near the center with the goods.
Really bad and unfair practice.
The worst part of all this?
They still have my credit card money in "pending status" and claim that they are not the ones to release the funds but it's up to my credit card company to do so. Really?
Not according to my credit card co.
I want my money to be taken out of limbo.
As long as it remains pending, I have less available credit.
So, I'm left with no bike and Walmart continues to keep my money in pending status and won't release it.
Never, ever, again... this whole experience has been a nightmare. Be warned.
I'm sticking with Amazon from now on...
I used to work at Walmart. I was a hard worker and I didn't ask for much. In the end, I got fired over what other people do all the time. I just so happen to be the person who got caught. Everyone turned on me. It was just like being in school again. I thought I left that life behind me when I graduated from school. I was watching a video on YouTube. BBC Man With The Biggest Scrotum. Afterwards, I asked someone at the table I was sitting at about what I was watching. I ended up being reported to Walmart Ethics over this. I wonder what would happen if that man were to walk in Walmart right now. And people talk about how people are killing themselves and how the bullying needs to stop. I bet that man would be held accountable for something he cannot help. People started to make up stuff and add onto stuff from what I had told them. People asked me questions about breastfeeding and pregnancy and I answered honestly. I told hilarious stories about me and my husband. I was told that I had gone into vivid detail of my sex live. It was even said that I told a customer something sexual.
I found what looked to me like condoms on the banana table. I asked about it.
In other words, watch what you say and don't make friends. I'm not upset. I'm just letting people know that if someone really wants to get to know you, they would hang out with you outside of work instead of talking about breastfeeding and pregnancy amongst other things while at work. Nine times out of ten, someone who talks about breastfeeding and pregnancy amongst other "iffy" topics at work is someone looking for ammunition against you if at any point they want to get rid of you.
I am a frequent shopper at Walmart, both online and in person. This last order had a few issues. I was able to return the item to my local Walmart without any problems.
I can always count on them to make it easy to return things.
Walmart managers I very rude and disrespectful one of the employees was helping me bring mulch bags to my car then a manager had step forward while the employee was loading my car with the bags and had yelled at the employee that he was supposed to be at the garden center register then feeling sorry for the employee I had try to tell the manager that it was my fault and need help with the bags so I tip the employee and the manager in a rude tone told me walmart policies to follow
It is curious why Wal-Mart has two large stores; one in Long Beach, Ca and one in Lakewood, CA, all within four miles of each other. How come?
