Walmart's reputation is mixed, with customers appreciating its wide product selection and competitive pricing, which enhance accessibility and affordability. However, significant concerns arise regarding delivery reliability, order accuracy, and customer service quality. Many reviews highlight frustrations with unfulfilled orders, inadequate support during issues, and negative interactions with staff. While some customers express loyalty and satisfaction with the overall shopping experience, others report feeling undervalued and dissatisfied, suggesting a need for improvements in communication, order management, and customer support to enhance overall service and restore confidence among shoppers.

I purchased a freezer from walmart.com. It arrived a week later than the one week asigned delivery date. When it came it was badly dented. We were two weeks into it at this point. I scheduled a pickup and exchange. After waiting almost two more weeks for that to happen, the replacement was even more damaged than the first one. Now we are four weeks into it and they have said only one exchange per item. They now say that a pickup and refund will happen within the next week. That puts at 5 weeks if it actually happens when its supposed to. I would assume it will follow suit and be a week past due which will put us at 6 weeks out and starting all over looking for a new freezer. Thanks for being a colossal waste of my time walmart.com! I will never shop with you again!
I kind of like Walmart prices, and they generally get your stuff to you quickly, but their packaging totally sucks. They love to use boxes that are several times too big for the items being shipped, and then they wont put enough protective stuffing in it to keep thing from bashing against each other. And never, ever order canned goods! All will be dented and bent, some may even be beat up badly enough to leak. But the real mess starts when they mix canned goods and soft-packaged items. That's a real party! Flour coats everything, rice is running every where, and the M&M's are broken open to make a kind of rice cookie. All you need is for the package to get rained on during shipping. And let's not get started on their choice of shipper at times! They can improve there, too. I'm about done with Walmart. Your complaints are heard, but ignored. Nothing changes.
I ordered a trampoline for my children for Christmas from Walmart. Com. This was the one big thing they wanted. It was promised to get here by the 20th. Well only two of the three boxes made it here. Come to find out the other huge box was lost in transit, and they couldn't send another because now they were sold out. My only option was to get refunded and send the others back. Then I had to purchase a more expensive one because there weren't any others in the same price range. It is just ridiculous. The same situation happened last year with another item and it took 6 weeks to finally get the product. It has happened twice now, so I think it is more of incompetence than mistake at this point. I know Christmas is busy, but Walmart is a multi billion dollar company. They need to get it together!
I purchased Christmas gifts for my grandson December 11,2019. I had them planned to ship to store by December 19,2019. One item (Activity art Easel) did not arrive. We received no information regarding the delay. I thought they may have had delivery issues because of the holiday, so we waited. Waited and waited with no replay or communication from Walmart. On December 27,2019, I called customer service. Customer service stated they did not know what happened it appears to be "lost". I asked why we were not notified, customer service said, " it looks like a computer glitch." Then they asked if I would like to re-order. Re-Order? Walmart cannot explain where this item was or is and they expect me to re-order! I am done with Walmart. Had I not contacted Walmart, they would have been able to keep the item, and profit from my purchase. Poor customer service and lack of responsibility for their error.
I would never order from walmart.com again. Ordered gifts a few weeks ago, and still the gift isn't here. I call them because it hasn't arrived, even though they tracking info said it was to be delivered today. Low and behold the gift has been damaged and sent back. No one email or phone call to let me know. I asked for a store credit to go pick one up, nope they won't do that. They will refund my money which will not apply to my account for 5-7 business days... It took you 20 seconds to take it out of my bank account, now DAYS... They said we can ship you a new one, but it won't be here until the 28th... What kind of crap is that... Then the female(Anna) that was speaking to me. I said how would you like to explain to your loved ones or children on Christmas morning why they don't have Thier gift. She said and I quote well I never got any Christmas gifts or bought any, So I wouldn't know... Who says that to a upset customer... NEVER EVER AGAIN. I WILL BE TELLING ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO USE AMAZON FROM NOW ON...
I purchased a ceramic grill on line from Walmart for my father's Christmas gift. Walmart missed 2 confirmed delivery dates, when I knew they would be home, and then they called my dad and told him a 3rd date for the delivery of his grill... thanks walmart for ruining the surprise. Oh, and his neighbor had to get it because he was out of town. Amazon has nothing to worry about.
I simply wanted a receipt with detail of the 4 TV's we purchased since one had a cracked screen. I simply wanted to return it to my local Walmart. After 22 minutes of conversation with someone I couldn't understand I hung up in frustration
Liars... they say 2 day delivery and then contract drivers who dont care about a timeline. They are liars that know the delivery service will not make it as promised.
I purchased an HP desktop computer on Walmart.com from MICOMP that I thought was brand new, but the one I received was refurbished. I did not remember the website page stating it was refurbished, so I went back and looked and all the way at the bottom of the page in the very smallest of fine print it says it is refurbished. Highly misleading! Plus it was missing a power cord when it showed up, which after several calls to MICOMP I have yet to receive.
I ordered hearing aids for my Dad on December 10. On the website they were listed as "in stock" with an ETA of December 16. Received confirmation email with same information. On December 15 received email saying they were delayed. Went online to check tracking and they had not even shipped yet. Customer service was no help whatsoever. They told me if an item was listed as "in stock" on their website, that did not necessarily mean that it was actually in stock. They could not even give me an estimated shipping date. Their solution was to tell me to cancel the order and make a new order, which made no sense. I do not recommend Wal-Mart.
I went to Walmart to return an online purchase and was met with a greeter who turned her back on me when I said hello to her. Then as I walked to Customer Service another associate caught herself starting to look at me and then looked at the floor as she passed by. No smile or hello. Then as I stood waiting my turn watched customers treated with disdain. How sad. My turn and I was told that I could have sent it back. I know but I was going to shop and know that they would take returns. She said nothing more just gave me a receipt. I had to ask about my refund. Seems it is a third party seller and Walmart will return it to them and they will refund my money.
It didn't end there I continued to shop since I was there ( i guess I am a gluten for punishment). Not a smile or a kind face from one associate. A number of them were standing in groups chatting. When it was time to check out only two registers open, 20 minutes to check out. My greeter had 3 friends to chat with at the door so I couldn't say good-bye to her.
What a nightmare ordered an item on 11/28 said i would have it by 12/10 then all I get is order delayed. I go to chat they say their is a problem with my order in the system and I should cancel it wait 48 hour and reorder. I ask will I get the same price and will it arrive by 12/25 they can't answer. I ask for a phone number to call. I get some guy on the phone telling me a system problem same advice tells me to cancel wait 48 hour and re order. I ask will I get the same price I get a no. I complain I do then get to get it at the same price. I ask about when will I get it he says 48 hours fine. I point out what a pain this process was and I never had some much work to resolve an issue with Amazon. This is also very true. He starts telling me how much Amazon sucks. Just what I need to hear. I ask for a supervisor. Bottom line the supervisor tells me that my item is back ordered and that my original order would come in before any new order. Well why was I not told that and why was I told to cancel my original order. He has no real answer other than that was the best answer the first person I spoke could give me but he was a supervisor and he could give me the real answer. What?. Now I did get a promo code from the first guy and I used it to order the item again which the system say I will have it in 48 hours. I did not cancel the first one so I can't wait to see which comes in first. Bottom line they have no process and any answer you get you can't trust. This equals Bad Business.
I just got off the phone with a customer service manager.
My issue, after talking with 5 different reps, was that my photo order got "lost".
All they wanted to do was refund my money. I was supposed to have received this YESTERDAY. I'm a photographer and my client needed these to be delivered by then. Now, I have to spend more than double the money that I used to order these photos, double the amount of time to order them all again and get the sizing correct, and frustration of talking to many reps on the phone and not having anything get done besides refunding my money... not to mention having to go to the store and pick these photos up and deliver them to the client rather than them being mailed which was what I paid for in the first place. Through no fault of my own, all of this could have been helped if they would have just given me the difference of $7.20 (don't even care about the fuel cost to drive to the store then to get back to the clients residence) but no, all i'm offered is a refund that won't even be processed for 5-7 business days.
Not so great customer service if you ask me.
For some reason, the automated store locator knows nothing about how to get to a location! It wants me to use a store an hour away because in a straight line it's closer. Then, when I change the pick up location, it won't always accept the change.
That's how my order got to the WRONG PLACE; and Walmart.com says "Tough luck!". My only options are: run an hour out of my way, cancel for a refund and forget it, or cancel and reorder hoping they still have it.
Can we say "Not helpful"?
I bought a razor scooter from walmart.com a few months ago. It was for Christmas, so I hadn't opened it. Another price became available recently so I went to return the one I had (still in box with receipt and everything) and they wouldn't take it back. I called walmart.com and they said I only had thirty days. I was never informed I only had 30 days and wouldn't have bought it at the time I did if I had known. Apparently you have to log in to your account after you've bought it. In my experiences with other companies such as Amazon, Target, and Costco they've been much more understanding and at least a supervisor could override it or make an exception. No one could make an exception in this case and basically said "the system won't let me." Knowing now that they can't override their own system instill very little confidence! Don't buy from walmart.com!
I ordered some tires on Walmart.com and was charged an additional fee called a merchandise fee. I came to find that that is an import tax. Walmart runs to China and everywhere else outside of the US to get things and then wants the customer to pay for this. Just on principle will NOT go back.
I ordered a tablet and a 19" TV online on Black Friday though walmart.com. When I picked up my order yesterday, there wasn't a TV in the box. It was a $18 light up Christmas tree. When I called Walmart.com the lady tells me I either have to wait another 10 days for a replacement TV, or wait 5-7 business days for a refund. When she called my local store, the TV was in stock but for some reason I can't just go pick up a TV, even though I paid for one. When I asked the lady what am I supposed to do with the tree, she tells me I can keep it! I don't want the tree, I want my TV! Why won't my picture upload?
I tried to return a blouse that I ordered online and was told I would have to send directly to the manufacturer. Guess what it costs to mail a package to China. $61.00. I just donated it instead, but I am done ordering online from Walmart.
I'm chalking up my online experience with Wal-Mart as a first & a last.
Their 2 day delivery is at best a straight up scam.
Doesn't exist.
2 day delivery has now morphed into a 7 day delivery scenario.
I will believe it when I see it.
Wal-Mart.
You have just lost a 20 year customer.
In the vain of you could not pay me to ever shop your stores or online ever again.
Y'all a scam $#*! joke.
See ya.
Bye.
Wal-Mart.
PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE. EASY TO RETURN. ALWAYS SATISFIED WHETHER SHOPPING ONLINE OR IN STORE. MOST OF THE PRODUCTS ARE AVAILABLE COMPARED TO THE SIMILAR STORES. DELIVERY IS FAST. STAFF IS KNOWLEDGEABLE.
