The Walton family is the richest family in the world with almost $150 Billion in net worth. This is more than the bottom 42% of the whole country combined. Meanwhile they do not pay a living wage or offer benefits to the vast majority of their employees. The result is that Walmart employees are living below the poverty level and receiving food stamps and medicaid which costs the country an estimated $5 billion per year.
You could argue that a higher wage and increase in benefits would result in higher costs. That would be true to a certain extent but given the huge volume of sales that Walmart we would be talking about pennies on most sales. Another thing to consider is comparing Walmart to a better employer. Costco is a good example because they pay a living wage and provide better benefits. The result is they have much higher employee satisfaction resulting in a higher retention rate and much lower level of shrinkage (theft).
Bottom line is we make a choice when we are shopping at a retailer and if we choose to shop at a store that is owned by the richest family in the world that pays their employees poverty level wages then we are supporting this practice. It is good business to take care of your employees and treat them the same way you would wanted to be treated. Until that time comes I will not even consider shopping at Walmart.

Twice ive tried to order off there website... Twice its become a mjor ordeal. Both times my initial purchase was rejected with no reason given. The first time. After countless emails and phonecalls i was finally told that my bank rejected it. Though my bank denied doing this... And i could see in my transaction history that each attempt. Walmart took money from my account. And a few minutes later. Deposited it back into my account. After calling their BS several times. They finally admited it was them rejecting the card but failed to give reason. I finally was allowed to make the purchase. A phone. To be picked up the next day. But after the transaction i recieved an email stating the item would be ready for pick up the following week.
Second attempt at making another purchase on this site... Same game. Same song and dance.
I make many purchases online. I have never had problems... Ever... Except with walmart.com
Its walmart for better or worse the prices are decent compared to the crappy service.
I was unable to get to the store in time to pick up a small electronics item over Christmas. They refunded me in a timely manner and I appreciate that.
I read reviews on Walmart.com about the tv failing too soon. I purchased mine July 2015, and this is Jan 18 2016- about an hour and a half ago, i was turning down the sound, in order to switch inputs. All of a sudden, the tv(which was, at the time, displaying hdmi input from my desktop pc) began to cycle through about 10 or so, vivid, full screen colors. It would not register any input from the remote, also. I then unplugged it and waited a few seconds... when i plugged it up again, it powered on with the sceptre logo, on its own, i did not power it on... then it began to cycle the same colors, but there was audio coming through the speakers from my coaxial antenna connection.
I contacted walmart through live chat, and the representative was about to issue a refund... she then told me that it had been too long to give a refund and gave me a toll free number and website of Sceptre. When i called sceptre there is no customer support available... the machine prompted me to leave a message. Sceptre's live chat only sent and email to sceptre.
I will try and contact sceptre again in order to get fair compensation, but i advise anyone considering purchasing a tv from walmart to buy the protection plan. I wish that I had done that 6 months ago.
HAVE USED MANY TIMES FROM DOG STOCKINGS TO LAWN FURNITURE... ALWAYS ON TIME, DELIVERY IS ALWAYS CORRECT, EASY TO PICK UP FROM LOCAL WALMART

Every item that I have ordered from them that I have picked up at the store or have had shipped to my home has been in great condition has been exactly what I thought that I was ordering and when I didn't pick something up that was shipped two shirts the store on time because I had changed my mind and didn't want the merchandise they immediately credited my my credit card back the amount that I had paid for that item would that I had not picked up with no questions asked very good customer service
Couldn't get an order correct for anything. Around and around you get stonewalled exactly where you didn't want to go. Beyond frustrating. No customer service, no resolve, no trust.
Not long ago, I was visiting a small town that had an extremely limited choice of stores, and ventured into Walmart. What a ghastly, ugly experience. Disheveled, dirty, shoddy... Walmart had it all! I didn't expect to find a Macy's or a Nordstrom's, nor even a Kohl's. But Walmart made Target seem like haute couture! All I was looking for was men's underwear!
You can return an item at their local store. Advantage... until you actually have to do it. You will "love" the long lines of Walmart shoppers. Color shown on website was not even close to what was received. (Never ever had a problem with color on any vendor's sites,) Received the item quickly, the fact that it was not as pictured was disappointing.
I like to shop at Wal-Mart.com and pick it up at the store. There are so many more products and items at even better prices online
Employees are not paid enough to afford to shop elsewhere. They are paid too little. They end up spending their hard earned money and food stamps at Walmart. I believe that the company is guilty of fraud.

I just love shopping at Walmart. I have never had an issue with their products. My only negative comment is that their free shipping could be a bit quicker!
My little nephew picked out a toy motorcycle for $29.95. Only to have this poor kid totally disappointed. It would only go in reverse! That's only one example of the shoddy products Walmart sells. BTW They did refund it but wanted me to have it replaced. Only to have my nephew disappointed twice?! I don't think so!
