Going to the physical Wal-Mart is a hassle in itself so I've given their online site numerous chances. I ordered a high chair for site to store pickup, it took quite a while to get to my store and when it finally did it was the wrong one, they explained it as a mix up between item numbers in the warehouse, so I reordered the chair and this time had it sent to my house, delivery took about the same amount of time and once again wrong chair! Customer service was really awesome about the mix up but I ended up ordering a rocking chair instead because I didn't feel like getting the wrong item yet again and the representative couldnt assure me that that wouldn't happen. I gave their site to store option quite a few more shots sometimes getting a decent expierence but more often getting a bad one, between employees not being able to find my order in the system, not arriving when scheduled, not getting the right item, waiting forever for an employee to be paged to even helped me at the pickup desk I've been looking into different options for site to store services.

This review is for ordering items from Walmart.com when Walmart is the actual retailer. The negative reviews on this site seem to be related to 3rd party merchants who pay to be included in the Walmart.com search engine but are not part of Walmart. I always choose walmart.com from the retailer list on the sidebar to eliminate other merchants popping up.

Walmart.com has become my go-to online retailer. Although the service had some quirks when it started several years ago, it is now a solid service with a wide selection of items. I was inspired to write this review after my third negative experience ordering from Amazon.com where my item sits in the "preparing for shipment" for three to five days. I was able to cancel my delayed amazon order, place an order at walmart.com and still receive it on time with free shipping.

A huge plus with using walmart.com is being able to return items to the store without being charged for return shipping as happens on amazon.com. This alone puts walmart.com ahead of other online retailers.

Let me start by saying I am a die hard Walmart shopper. If I'm going to a brick-and-mortar store for ANYTHING, that is where I go. However, sometimes the store either just doesn't have what I'm looking for or online shopping is just more convenient. The Walmart.com site is not just an online version of the store. It has so much more available than you can find in the store. There are things you can't even find in the store. An added bonus is that if they don't even carry what you're looking for, they provide the ability to purchase from different merchant right there in the search. I highly recommend the site.

I ordered an item off the Walmart website. It came and a piece of it was broken. I contacted Walmart as I bought it off their site and they charged me. However Customer Service said it was not their responsibility because they were selling it for another company. I told them that I bought it from Walmarts website they should stand behind what they sell. They said they only stand behind their products. Great Customer Service. NOT

I placed an order on line but as soon as the order came up I cancelled same because of the date of delivery. They did not cancel the order but shipped one item and Walmart cancelled the other two. My account was charged for the full amount. When I refused receipt of the item that was shipped my account was credited for only that amount. My bank called Walmart and disputed these transactions. Nothing was done. I called Walmart and they said only the bank can dispute these transactions. I called my bank again and they are going to take care of this matter. They claim the bank messed up. This is not so. I have a memo from WALMART stating my account was not charged. It was. Do be very hesitant when ordering on line from Walmart. THEIR SERVICE IS THE WORST.
