Beware of another company using a web site very similar to vitalrecordsonline.com - I had a very nice conversation with a gentleman in Atlanta representing vitalrecordsonline.com - the company I purchased a NY birth certificate from and within 1 hr cancelled it was vitalrecords-online.com. NOTE THE DASH. They are based in Badalona Spain and are a scam outfit - that denied my refund (by email) no phone #. While I cannot vouch for any transactions with vitalrecordsonline.com, I will certainly say that vitalrecords-online.com is a SCAM, fraudulent company, and that is the company that took my $47 and denied a refund.

So my daughter used this service to try to get her birth certificate. It hasn't arrived yet so I called to see when it would arrive. I was told 4-8 weeks from the time vital statistics cashed her check. I stated it was a money order. So the answer is 4-8 weeks from some undetermined date in the past. When I asked what she had spent $70 on, I was told a shipping label and customer service. I asked if this was the customer service and was told yes. What a total ripoff.

After paying my $49.00 fee for Vital Records Online, they sent to me a wrong detailed "return envelope" that was to be sent to my state record office. All you had to do was include your application and other necessary paperwork, place in return envelope. After it was sent to post office for delivery, it was returned to me. Vital Records used my name as a mailing address instead of a return address. It was returned to me; I had to fix THEIR mistake, in order to remail. I lost time in their mistake. If you can, call your OWN state office and go through them directly.

I paid for a copy of a marriage certificate, which I did not receive. I should have known something was incorrect after I printed out the application for the marriage certificate and mailed it to the address that was provided. The address that the request should have been mailed to is incorrect. The service is a fraud and I would like my $55.00 returned. Oh did I mention that I had to pay an additional application fee of $15.00? The turn around time, from the time is extremely long. If you have money and time to waste, this service is for you. Otherwise STAY AWAY!

This company is a joke in November I paid $118 for two birth certificates through this "simple in minutes" scam of the company. I didn't receive ANYTHING until I contacted them for a refund 2 days ago (4 months had passed) they sent an email informing me that I needed to complete 3 more steps including paying more money! And the original email from months must be in my spam folder (which would be my fault). I responded explaining that I'm not paying anymore money to receive nothing once again I shouldn't have to do more including faxing and mailing copies of my documents and that I would simply like a refund since it has been months! They responded this morning with a very generic - no refunds at all for any reason. Waste of time and money!

I live across the country from my home state. I know from experience that some sites can get the certificate delivered to me upon the initial request. I thought this site did that. NO! I paid 69 dollars to receive a pretty packet of envelopes and a form to send to the state of my birth, along with another 15 dollars! I gave my information for the form electronically, thinking that would get the birth certificate sent. Instead I get an application form with the SAME information I gave this site. It came in a pretty envelope with nice writing and instructions to do it myself. WTH!? So, I now have to send this packet to my birth state, with MORE money to get my certificate of live birth. I waited a week to get an application to send and now will have to wait another week or more. I needed my birth certificate to get an enhanced drivers license to use for flying in our country now that my present drivers license will not be suitable for that soon. My license expires in a week, so the heck with the enhanced for now. Now I need to get just the regular license, fill this stupid form out from these fun loving bait and switchers, pay 15 MORE dollars for the certificate, then go BACK and get ANOTHER license at an additional charge. The site said it's easy to apply online for my certificate. I now find out its easy and expensive to apply for an application for my birth certificate. Great. Good Job. Enjoy my money. You ain't getting any more from me or anyone else I can tell; my family, friends and all the social media exposure I can give you. And it would be GREAT for someone at the site to refund my money. I will gladly send all this pretty paper back to you.

The Vital Records Now is a scam, they will state you didn't send appropriate form of ID and even though I sent my 6xs and various different ways they charged my account the $11 and never approved my ID to get the birth certificate I needed, you have to go through their automated phone and email service and no one can ever help you stating you agreed to their terms. THEY ARE A SCAM! I don't understand why they are in business, don't use them.

We paid $69 to receive the application to get a raised seal marriage license. We completed the application and spent another $12 for the required money order to send it to us. Our tracking number shows they received the application to process This was mid November 2018. It is now mid January and we have not received it. We have sent made numerous emails and calls and no one ever follows up. I would NOT recommend this service. We could have driven to SC and got it faster than this service.

I'm not sure how I arrived at vitalrecordsonline.com--I *thought* it was through a link on the. Gov site--but somehow I must have clicked on the wrong link on Google. At any rate, I filled out all of the information at vitalrecordsonline.com, paid my $39.95 (after receiving a 15% discount) and downloaded an electronic file with a birth certificate *application* which required me to copy my state I.D., get the documents notarized, and include *another* $15.00/certificate. Confused as to why I had to pay even more money, since I had already paid $40 to download what turned out to be merely an application, I went back online to find their telephone number. This time I ended up at vitalchek.com--the only *approved* service that the government uses to process birth certificate applications.

The nice lady I spoke to on the phone said that vitalcheck NEVER: gives discounts, asks for notarized documents, or provides the kind of expedited service described by this site.

Needless to say, I will not complete their version of the application. And because I'm freaked out, I'm going to the office in person, where the nice lady said I might even be able to get my birth certificate while I waited.

So, vitalrecordsonline.com now has all of my personal information and my credit card number ( which I immediately canceled).
