Scam
August 19, 2020

They don't file anything for you, they review for you to 72 hours and just generate a form that you still have to send in. Not expedited at all.

I ordered my birth certificate and had my document filled out in front of a notary. Vital chek said that my document with the notary is incorrect (which all it is is signatures so that's impossible). They charged $25 extra WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I've called over 9 phone numbers that claim to be VitalChek. There is NO real phone number to get a refund or ask what else they need on ducuments. Save yourself the time and money and don't go through VitalChek.

No Complaints At All
August 9, 2020

Placed an order on Tuesday 8/4/20 and realized that I only ordered the application and not the birth certificate. I immediately emailed customer service and I was fully refunded on Thursday 8/6/20. Thanks for the great service! No complaints here!

The run around
July 16, 2020

We have been waiting 6 weeks for our marriage license. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. We requested a refund last week and it hasn't happened. JUNK! That's about all I have to say.

A complete joke!
July 15, 2020

I placed an order for my birth certificate with Vital Records online 1/25/2020 and received application 1/30/2020. My application was notarized and sent back along with an official check for $15.00 which was redeposit back into my account due to be void over 90 days. Vital Records status was received on 2/03/2020. As of today 7/11/2020 I still have not received my Birth Certificate. On 6/29/2020 I called the phone number on this website and was told to call another number which was Vital Status Records. I called Vital Status Records and the customer service asked for my order number and when I gave my order number, I was told that they don't use those order numbers because it's a 3rd party website. So, I had to reorder for another Birth Certificate on their website which was much cheaper and as of today 7/11/2020 I have received my birth certificate from Vital Status Records and not Vital Records Online. Since Vital Records online was not helpful at all and I paid $60.00 to use their services. Then, I am entitled for a refund of $60.00 back. Yes I am happy to get my birth certificate but it was not through Vital Records Online and it is the principal about the whole thing. So yes I am entitled to my refund.

Vital Records is a despicable and very deceitful company. Unfortunately I was naive into thinking that this type of thing exist, but it does. I honestly thought I was in the Los Angeles County supported website Vital Check, which is similar in name to the fraudulent company Vital Records. By the time I realize it was a scam I had already paid $47 to get the process started. So after back and fourth correspondence they finally sent the application form and instructed me to have the document notarized ($15), include a payment of $28 for the birth certificate copy, and then mail it. After the realization I paid $47 for a PDF file I could of downloaded and filled out myself for free, I proceeded to cut my losses and not continue with the process. I went with LA County supported website which was far less and the same amount if I were to continue with the notarization and copy payment. The Vital Report website is a scam, they do nothing but provide the application form which can be found online for free.

Total scammers
July 4, 2020

After paying $47.00, I received a message the next day to check my email and spam, then follow the directions. I sent them a message back saying I didn't get an email and please resend. No response. I called the # the message came from, constant busy signal. It's been 3 weeks now, and still no contact. I've been scammed

COMPLETE SCAM
July 3, 2020

On Jan 2020 I paid the 47.65 administration fee to Vital Records and the 15.00 fee to the state of New York for my certified birth certificate. The web site stated that it could up to 16 weeks to receive the document. It's July 2020 and still no certificate. After holding for almost an hour a spoke to a rep to request a refund and was told that I could not receive one because my application was more than 120 days old. I was given a number to call that did not address my concern. Why say it takes up to 4 months to receive a document and then say you can't get a refund after 3 months? I placed another order with VitalCheck! Will be contacting the Better Business Bureau!

Scam - Avoid
June 26, 2020

This is a scam site - avoid at all costs. They take your $47, provide nothing of value, and don't send you any kind of follow-up or email. There's no communicating with this company.

I've ordered various certificates online in the past, I thought this was the same Vital Records site I used before. Turns out, this is a total SCAM! I filled out the forms expecting the Birth Certificates to be delivered to me when in fact they send you an electronically filled out form which leaves YOU to do all the work of submitting the form! Moreover, I ordered 3x so my price tripled - and I did this for 2 kids. Anyone using this service is sucker (like me).

I will be posting negative reviews to for these criminals as many places as possible!

I thought I was in vitalchek to order my docs. Stupid me for not paying attention. They basically put your responses in a form for you to print out, notarize and mail in with a check to cover the cost for your records. I paid $40 to these jokers and vitalcheck is $37.95, which covers the cost of the document, it is electronically submitted and you get your docs mailed to you after processing.

I'm so pissed at myself for falling for this crap scam site that makes them look like vitalchek.

This is scam, they do not do anything apart from generating pdf form. Total waste of money.

Initially when navigating site I thought I was on correct site to order birth certificates, but actually they are just collecting information and generating pdf only. You will still need to submit actual form and fee to us gov for you certificate.

Like everyone else that has used them they are a complete SCAM. Why our government hasn't done anything about them amazes me. No matter what the cost I will contact an attorney and file a lawsuit. They will have to pay for court cost and my attorneys fees and refund my money and pay me punitive damages. Maybe that will shut them down.

No one in there right mind would pay $60.00 for what this company offered. The company does not do anything but mail you a pdf form which is available for free and in addition you will have to pay the real company that actually does the certificates money. This should be illegal. These people are just preying on people.

I was born in the United States but I have Argentine parents and currently live in Canada, so you can imagine I always have to be doing documentation for everything. I needed again the copy of my birth certificate for a procedure in Canada and the customer service department helped me during the whole process. It was fast and professional

All they do is fill an application form and email you to print and send for $47 which you can do by your self for free.
They also try to cheat you when you ask for refund by showing you error message on refund form even all details are correct so you give up.
