This page is huge rubbish, it's a huge monopoly, they never answer call or email questions. This is just a scam website. I did everything they said and nothing happened. Coronavirus helped them to get just a big monopoly. Stay away from them.

I was in desperate need of a Birth Certificate. I signed up for one from Vital Records and paid an outrageous amount for it to be expedited and Overnighted to me.
A week later, I gave up on them and dealt directly with my home town Clerk and Recorders office. $8 and two days later, I had their Certified Certificate in hand!
It has been over three weeks and I finally received a packet from Vital Records in my mailbox. It was NOT a birth certificate, but an application I was to submit to them along with another $12.
Meanwhile I disputed the original amount paid at the bank and then got a letter from an attorney (or at least it looked like a letter from an attorney) saying he was going to request the money from the bank - even though he had no evidence it had ever been sent.
I HONESTLY believe this was a scam to steal money.
They are lucky I don't live just down the street from them!
BE SAFE... don't deal with these thieves.

Don't waste your money this place takes forever to send your birth certificate. I sent in all my doc on March 1 and on March 23 they sent me an email saying My certificate would come at the end of May! I ordered my sons birth certificate from vitalchek and it took 3 business days! I paid the same price and it's the same city! Order from vitalchek they update you on every step. This place is terrible! 3 months is ridiculous! Wish I would have read the reviews before I ordered.

I paid $47 for my son's birth certificate and I get NOTHING! NO email no NOTHING! Now I have to wait an extra month to sign him up for school! DO NOT USE THIS SITE!

How can these people even be online? I just paid them $47 to email me a form that I had to print out a form and then send with another $25 to the records hall. Such bull$#*!! I am reporting fraud to my card company.

SCAM! Just steal your money for nothing! The application form is available online for free. Don't pay $47 to this SCAM site to email you just the application form!

As many people said I thought I was on Vital Chek which I was not they take your money and do nothing

Please read this reviews before give your 47 dollars to this scammers! They do not do nothing for you! They just print whatever you fill up in the form and they email it back to you... even when I went to the vital record building they told me this websites are scam! You can fill up the for and the vital office for free in 1 min. I do not know why nobody do not do anything about this scammers or take this websites a way, they are not even somewhere else, they are here in united state!

Phone number is 917, a New York number, the contact trace done by Navy Federal Credit Union was Barcelona, Spain. A week later from payment, I saw an email in my spam, the email which the links dont work and phone number resorts you back to the online sight. Absolute scam.

It has been 9 working days since I made my request. I have emailed the company several times. I can not get a response and I am guessing they will keep my $47. There is not a phone number to call for help either.

I googled birth certificates online and this showed up in the search results, what seemed legit at the time wasn't clear to me until AFTER I already paid them. They just fill out an online PDF form for you and send that to you, it's still up to you to print, notarize and mail to the vital records office at whatever state you need your certificate from. It's a total sham! I've completed a request for refund, we'll see if they refund me or not.

Since this website was listed on the paperwork to get my child's birth certificate to use a credit card instead of check, I thought this would be credible. It is not! All they do is take your money. Just send the check to the office of vital statistics yourself. That's what you end up having to do anyway. Just cut out losing $60 to these scam artists like I did. Shame on them and the state for providing their information! Should be a 0 star review!

It a disgrace that some states only use VitalChek as it's source to order important documents (ex. Death certificate) because VitalChek is unable to get the document to you any sooner than over a month. The only phone number they give wastes your time because your on hold for an hour or more just waiting for someone to pick up. Your basically helpless after they take your money. Why can't we just call a county office like a normal business?

When I first started using the site for the needed certification, I noted it was run by LexisNexis which is one of the databases we use in collecting information for developing contacts at my job and tracking people. This data can easily be obtained by anyone. But, I overlooked my concerns because Vital Records initially doesn't ask anything personal. It's once they obtain and supposedly processed my payment and all should have been completed that the site demanded my social security number, more personal information, and copies of my identification to be uploaded. There's no turning back at this point. Then the wait time turned from being the quickest method of 10 days to deferring to the health departments' timing of 20 days or longer. So, it does feel like a scam, because they are basically collecting your imperative information and you still require the direct services of the state department. So you gave your important data to strangers and actually paid for it. They will in turn also get paid by the companies that buy data and use their database services. It's best to just wait for the state department and skip this third-party "service".
