Stay away from them. They do nothing but take your money and then disappear. They do send back an order id but that is all.
I needed to get a copy of my sons birth certificate and was told I needed to order it through the state because he was adopted.
I submitted application through them over a month ago, and requested it be expedited. Now, I still haven't received it. I am out the cost I paid to receive a document, and I am very uneasy that I provided very sensitive information to such a scam company.
There is no phone number to call them. I did receive an email stating they are approving the refund that I demanded in the form I sent.
Skip this website and save yourself some grief.
You can obtain same records for half cost on your state' vital statistics website. They mislead you on their service. They charge you for a link to a form you have to print off and mail to your state vital statistics office. I'm reporting them to the Better Business Bureau
I thought I was on the VitalChek website to obtain my birth certificate. I paid $47 on 10/07 approx. 5pm CST & was told I would get an email to confirm my purchase. I never received the email after my purchase. I was thinking maybe it's because it's after working hours & I should get it tomorrow. I check my email 10/08 & still no email. They have no contact number. I sent a request for a refund but each time I submitted the request, I got an email back saying my request couldn't be submitted. I will file a dispute with my bank to try to get a refund back. I don't have $47 to waste. With COVID going on, funds are limited & I needed this birth certificate for a job. Now I have to find a way to get my $47 back so I can purchase my real birth certificate.
The following message is what I wrote to them after realizing that I was scammed. I wouldn't mind paying the $40 if they were going to handle getting the certificate and mailing to me. However, as you will see, they emailed a form with instructions for completion to be mailed and include the $15 actual certificate fee!
BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE... THIS IS AN UNSCRUPULOUS BUSINESS. DO NOT TRUST.
"Yes! I am going to dispute this $40 charge with both PayPal and my Chase Visa credit card because the $40 fee is simply to send me an email with Birth Certificate form and instructions on filling out and mailing myself. I'm also going to report you to BBB and leave you negative reviews. I agree your service deserves a fee BUT not $40 for sending me a form that I am to fill out and mail it in myself! Your competitor Vital Check costs a total of $23.30 which includes an $8.30 fee and they finish the process and the certificate mailed directly to me. You are shameless."
I had been waiting on a copy of my marriage certificate for over a month. I was being patient because of Covid. However, they cancelled my order with not one person emailing me or calling me to tell me that they did that. Also, you can't call or talk to anyone over the phone so now I must wait on an email back. I lost a month trying to get something that I needed asap. No communication.
I ordered a Birth Certificate and they immediately charged my card $47 but have NEVER contacted me as it says they would! I have tried 5 times to " contact" them via email on their website and it always comes back " undeliverable"! So they gave my money and all my private info and have done nothing snd it is impossible to contact them! SCAM!' DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I had to change my credit card number and everything!

Hi I recently used Vital Records Certificates thinking it was the actual part of the cities records. When I realized the mistake, I emailed the company and they told me I would be refunded and in a day, the funds were put back into my account.
I legit just got ripped off! I thought I was filling out paper work to get receive my daughter's birth certificate, plus one copy. They even charged me for the extra copy $47.00 I get an email where they send me back a pre-printed one page form where I have to mail it in and pay the State for the certificate AND a copy. THUS, for almost $50, they put my kid's name on a piece of paper! I don't even know how this company is still in business! Please do not get ripped off like I just did!
Sent my order in on April 4th, 2020 and as of 9/11/20 I have not received a thing! I have emailed them more than once and received NO RESPONSE, NOTHING! They have not refunded me my $47.00 either! DO NOT USE THEM. If you are unable to go to the bureau you need, use VitalCheck. This site is a waste of your time and money!
Is a sham site which fools you into paying for the transaction before telling you that all it does is sent you a filled form which you'll have to get notarized and sent to the govt office along with fee. Yes the entire money you paid online to them was not the govt fee. STAY AWAY

Seems really easy so far, but would be nice to know what the time frame is as to when we can expect the certificate.
It was simple to fill out. I have not received the certificate yet so im hoping this is not premature.
It was fine. I got it done. Not exactly sure what I'm confirming that I received. I got an email confirmation of my order for a birth certificate but have not received application yet.
