I am done with ordering from this company. An order placed on February 14th has still not shipped on February 22nd! When are these online companies going to learn their roles are to make shopping EASIER and NOT MORE DIFFICULT.
Florida is famous for stories about the most devient behavior in the U.S. on the internet and supplement companies who think not shipping something for 9 DAYS is acceptable!
Will advertise miniature sized products at normal sized prices, to scam you. Avoid this site at all cost!
I have 4 items missing from my order and reported the issue right away. Their incompetent chat line rep said that he will refund my money but never did and I asked for the refund confirmation email but that also was never sent. I threatened to take the issue to the media and get my bank involved but since they're a thief they didn't seem to care. This company should be wiped out and get out of business and more people should come forward with their experiences, then more people will get informed and take their business somewhere else. I can not believe how they send you incomplete order and yet they charge you and don't give a damn about that, only a thief can be like this. I will definitely go and share my negative experience on other media sites or blogs too. This company is a scam and should be exposed.
This company, Vita-cost are liar's and thieves. I accidentally made 2 orders of the same item and wanted to cancel within 12 hours on a weekend order. It states, processing orders are taking longer then usual, so, that gave me plenty of time to cancel the extra item. I was then told that it was already processed. I said " Really"? It hasn't even been deducted from my account or on hold and they already processed it? I told them to stop the BS and process the refund for the extra item. They don't want to give refunds for ANY reason. I've dealt with companies like this with the pandemic going on and I'm not buying that it's already processed and sent out because so many people have to wait a long time to receive mail orders. I'll never ever order from them again they can stick their products up their $#*!. That's the way I feel about them.
Vitacost>The worst customer service ever
The worst customer service ever! Ordered 7 large jars of zoup bone broth. Arrived on doorstep( fed ex) in soaked, smashed up carton.
Immediately called vitacost. Was told my order didn't exist on their site; Then magically appeared with a tracking # from USPS (the tracking number went to Texas. I am in Georgia.) The heavily accented woman gave me a fake tracking number! Each time I try writing to customer service: I am told" no such order exists!" I have the receipt in front of me with that exact order#.
Today spoke to another "agent" whom I could barely understand. She informed me she is caribbean
( arrogantly) I am out $53 and realize

What an absolute mess!
I was given a 20% discount to return as a customer so placed an order for $230 worth of goods. I received no notification of any delay and placed another order of 3 items that came within the 4-5 day window. I called 2 days ago and the customer service rep stated it would be shipped later that day. I checked today and still no notification and nothing has shipped after 11 days!
I called and cancelled my order and will be buying items needed from the store and not ordering from them anymore.
Never had a problem with vitacost after years of ordering from them. But now they just don't care about their customers any longer. Had a package delayed then said it was delivered. Called fedex said they marked it delivered by accident after I looked everywhere in the neighborhood without success. After they did deliver it my products were frozen and damaged. Tried contacting vitacost through chat and phone numerous times for a refund or replacement and numerous times I was hung up on after waiting hours for them to respond. Never got any solution for the problem. Looks like I am now a ex vitacost customer. Shameful that they are using long time loyal customers with such disrespect. They are no longer worth me spending my money with them. They are not that cheap anyway. GOODBYE VITACOST!
I came to give a review because I saw that reviews were so low here. Vitacost has been a life-saver for me during all the shutdowns and local shortages of the past two years. I just placed my third order in three weeks. They have much better prices and more selections that I want than my local natural foods co-op, like the range of Fody products that they have. When I ordered three 32 oz. Bottles of organic carrot-orange juice last December and one broke, I simply sent customer service an email, and Vitacost refunded the price within a few days. I am very happy using Vitacost!
Sent wrong items (packed with care by Maria R), called customer service and they were useless. As soon as I asked to talk to a supervisor, they hung up on me. Called back and supervisor Tracy told me that it would now be 7-10 business days to reship my items due to a "Bin search" that is Vitacost policy! Since when did their mistake become the customer's problem?
Long time customer here. It's sad to see how Vitacost has gone down. Maybe the products are still good. I don't know. I don't trust them after several packages were lost and they only refunded part of one. Why? According to their customer services, only one package came back to them. The other are lost so they don't reimburse them. And they don't reimburse shipping and VAT for the one coming back.
So why do they male us pay the VAT before if they know they have so many delivery problems? Why they don't take an insurance with their shipping companies?
At the end they choose to make the customers pay for their mistakes and poor services.
Also the customer service is just horrible. Totally inefficient and impolite sometimes
I ordered Pacific Foods' organic unsalted chicken bone broth, 12 32oz cartons from VISTACOST, expecting the cartons to come in a manufacturer's 12-pack box. Instead, the order came in two separate boxes, both with VISTACOST's logo; one with 11 cartons and the other with a singe carton in a Ziploc bag. Very unusual.
More surprise was that the bagged isolated carton had its cap lid opened (no "click" at opening). It is obvious that the VISTACOST shipper was aware of the open lid because the carton came in a Ziploc bag probably to prevent spillage.
Can you believe this?
AN OPEN FOOD ITEM IS NEVER ACCEPTABLE.
I filed a full refund request. After 2 business days, no contact.

Contacting company to ask why not items were sent was impossible online & long wait on phone. Cannot recommend.
I placed an order. I didn't see the fed ex truck but I got an email saying it was delivered. We have an enclosed, unlocked porch & never have trouble with deliveries but the package wasn't there. I called and the agent said they'd resend the order. I confirmed the address. Again, I got an email saying it had been delivered. Again, it hadn't. This time when I called the agent seemed entirely unconcerned that there might be a problem with the delivery service. She offered me a discount code but what good is that if I can't get it delivered?
I orderred a product from Vitacost with promised delivery in 30 days. After it did not arrive I was then promised delivery in 60 days, and after another non-delivery I was then promised delivery within 75 days or I would receive a refund. After waiting past the 75 day deadline and without product being delivered Vitacost decided to refund to me 75% of my cost. So not only did I never receive the product that I paid for within the various and extended time limits Vitacost promised, I also was charged more than $10 by them for my inconvenience. I urge anyone interested in ordering from this company to please, for your own sake, find some other more trustworthy company. They are using shameful and likely crooked tactics to bilk customers of their money. You should NEVER order anything from Vitacost. A 1 star review is one star too many!
Be careful buying digestive enzymes they will send you a damaged box that have been opened and you will have to eat the cost for it. They consistently do this. 5 out of 7 of i requested a refund and replace ments You will get lotion and shampoo thats open that has been tampered with leaking out of its container. If you buy there synergy products, There is a good chance that it is expired. They act really willing to give you a refund or replace your product at first but they will make mistakes like this all the time. You will then be stuck with an $80.00 order that you cant use. They also will not allow you to send unused products back as proof for the refund Beware! They cheated me right before Christmas
I suffered a negative reaction from eating almond butter. There was no date of expiration. When i called the company, they were unresponsive to my concerns. I paid close to $ 9 and i suffered stomach pains. There response was that since i didn't return the item sooner, i cannot have a refund. While it is true that i received my food item in march of 2020, i didn't suffer a negative reaction from eating the almond butter until recently. There was no "use by" date or expiration date and the company should have replaced the item. The representative with whom i spoke was unwilling to work with my complaint and i would encourage others not to do business with this company. They only give a 60 day period for requesting a refund or a credit and their items are very expensive. I would encourage others to take their business elsewhere and not do business with such a company.
I placed an order, the next day they cancelled my order with an excuse that the billing address was invalid. They are doing stupid jokes. Im placing multiple on same card from different website. They never cancelled it.
One star for lower price. Watch this site like a hawk, for errors. The site will add products to your order from previous orders. If you leave and come back to your existing order it takes away discount. Each time you have to check it is still there. I have put in send to my billing address, only to have it sent to my old billing and no matter how I showed the error had to arrange to drive to my old address to pick up a very heavy box. They charged me (pending) for a gift order on my credit card and told me there was no record of it. I called because I didn't get a confirmation after placing the order. I know there was no record. Duh! They suggested I reorder. I find the incompetence at a level previously unmatched in my online experience and I've ordered directly from other countries where English isn't the first language. Don't get angry with the person who is incompetent though, they're really sensitive. If they talk to you in a soft voice and say " sorry", you'll be expected to jump through hoops and apologize for their blunders. If you still want to shop at Vitacost, I suggest you take screenshots of your completed order, track the charge with your bank and keep good records. There's a good chance, you may wish you had when you need to dispute charges with your bank card.
I've been doing business with Vitacost for many years. I gave them a LOT of business. But if in a rare instance you finally need to return something or receive a credit because of something that's not your fault? They turn the other way. VERY poor business ethics. After all of the money I spent on Vitacost in all of these years, I received a bad product and they pretty much say, 'screw you'. Another time about 10 years ago, I received a unsealed product and they finally did issue a replacement, but they indicated it was a one-time courtesy gesture. ONE TIME COURTESY? It was NOT my fault! Normally courtesy gestures are given when the customer makes a mistake. Terrible.
Answer: Yes they sell brand names and reputable products. They may not sell everything though depending on what you're looking for. I couldn't find the product I wanted anywhere other than through Vitacost so I was quite impressed.
