The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

I bought tickets for my boyfriends daughet, her friend and me for a Justin Bieber concert that would have taken place in september 2017. Justin cancelled all his concerts. I never got reimbursed. When you want to contact Viagogo, you just get a message that indicated they are an online company and that therefore they are only available online. I keep sending them messages but I get no feedback... It's 920 CAD...
Avoid this company at all costs.
I purchased 2 tickets to go and see England pay Italy in the six nations rugby at Rome. 2 months before departing they advised me they could not provide the tickets I ordered and offered me tickets 50 rows higher up at the top of the stadium. These were politely rejected and after many contacts I accepted their assurance they were working hard to resolve this matter. 2 weeks before the match i was advised my tickets were ready to download. When I did this I found they had sent me tickets for high up in the stadium near the top. Again when I raised this as a complaint I was advised they would give me 80 euros back if I accepted them. I pointed out they had seats in the same section at the opposite end of the stadium for sale at instant download of tickets that would meet there guarantee of offering comparable seats in the event of a problem. I was amazed to find the next email from them was to tell me that they had issued a full refund and my tickets were now void. This left me high and dry after booking holidays, flights and hotels to take my wife to see this match for her birthday.
Dreadful experience Bought two tickets October 2017 for two David Bowie tickets 12th January. The best seats at Manchester Opera House for my Grandson's 21st present. I was pressured into buying the best seats over the phone as I was told that only the expensive seats were left. They cost me 167.34 pounds and I was told that the tickets would arrive a week before the event was due to take place. At the time I felt some measure of concern as Viagogo didn't send me a confirmation of the purchase I had made. However on the 7th January the tickets arrived. Face value was 60 pound for two tickets (They cost me 167.34) Unfortunately the tickets were for the 13th Jan at the O2 Ritz instead of the 12th January at Manchester Opera House. The OI2 Ritz is a young trendies stand up event and I am a Grandmother with bad knees. I would never have booked such a place as there is no way that I could stand up all night. Added to that my Grandson had book booked a coach trip away for the day on the 13th. The tickets were useless. I tried to contact Viagogo through the help line but the only way to contact was to allow them access to my face book account and by this time I realised that they were a rogue company and didn't want to do that. So I tried ringing them to be told that I could only speak to them 72 hours before the event. When I eventually got through they accepted that they had changed the date but would not accept that they had changed the venue. They would not give me my money back. I spoke with my bank and they could not help me as I had no proof that I had ever purchased Manchester Opera House. Viagogo had not sent me any confirmation. They have all angles covered and are very clever. Why is this company allowed to continue. The Government knows about it! If stole a 20 pence apple I would be up in court. Who is soooo powerful they can give the thumbs up to Government and steal thousands and thousands of our money? They are Wicked!
Order #*******. I ordered tickets for a January 7 football match for my brother's visit. Confirmation emails all stated the January 7 date. Ticket arrived a week after the expected arrival date, during my guest's visit. Event was actually the day before and my brother missed it. Customer service was atrocious. They refused to refund my ticket and said they didn't know why I couldn't "open an envelope"when literally ALL of the information on their website was wrong. Agent was patronizing and condescending. TERRIBLE experience for an expensive and worthless ticket.
DO NOT RELY ON THIS WEBSITE! It's a SCAM! I bought a ticket as a christmas present for my husband in September. Got him flights and a hotel room and 4 days before the show they told me the ticket was NOT AVAILABLE?!?! I was heartbroken! NEVER AGAIN!
I ordered these tickets for over 200 euros. They didnt arrive and I cannot contact them! Ripped off! STEER CLEAR
For the HK 7's I bought what looked like 4 tickets for the first + second day of the competition at around HKD179 each. At no point did the site inform me that the tickets for the 6th and the tickets for the 7th were billed separately at the same rate. The payment portal also didn't make it clear what I was actually buying. In fact, the ticket confirmation sent by email claims I bought tickets only for the one day instead of the two. No way to back out. Can't sell them via their site for 25% of the purchase price either. I've been suckered good and proper.
Must be a gold mine. Well done you guys!
Do NOT use Viagogo. I purchased Grace Vanderwaal tickets from this site and didn't realize if I went with a different venue it would have been WAY cheaper. Tickets at door were $25 and I paid $150 per ticket via Viagogo website. They completely rip you off and the fact that a company operates like this is just appalling to me. Most of these fans for this show are kids and families that can't afford such prices. NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT BUY FROM VIAGOGO! Live and learn I suppose
The "company" is nothing more than just a bunch of thieves, who profit from loopholes in the law. Disgustung!
Let's put it that way - the "Service Fee" that they charge you is higher than the ACTUAL price of the ticket. Sad to see that reputable people such as Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf are investors in such a scam.
Daylight robbery - I purchased tickets for The Cure in Hyde Park, they told me they were the last 2 tickets available, there was a 'countdown clock' on the website; all absolute bollocks of course... The tickets were massively upsold by this site but it was very misleading, didn't realise normally-priced tickets were still available so ended up paying £270 for 2 tickets when I could have got them for £140. I hate this website with a passion - they are evil and greedy!
They asking my email. I say forgotten. They can give me 2 different email... what is happening. Their viagogo website. I cant log in... what a poor site. Pls dont go into it anymore... poor handling of situation... now I have to buy from more secure website..
I bought 2 tickets to see Rigaletto at the royal opera house.
I had been rushing around trying to find somewhere special to take my wife for our anniversary.
I have quite a hectic work schedule and was trying to get the tickets at short notice.
I foolishly believed the scarcity claims on their site and later found out that I had paid about 10x the price for a normal ticket.
Disgusting!
Don't use this site, beware it's a con, no point giving details only to say there is nothing fair or honest about the way they are trading, and consumers should be better protected but unfortunately we aren't
Unbelievable fraudulent operation! I am somewhat surprised that they have not been shut down yet. Isn't there some regulatory body for scam businesses?
Bought World Cup tickets in late November. In order to attend a World Cup match, a Fan ID is required. Fan ID also functions as a visa to Russia, which I obviously need. Fan ID can't be issued without a ticket number. When I contacted Viagogo about ticket number, they completely blew me off and said I have to wait indefinitely. No other information is available. Most frustrating, this scam of a company does not have a way to contact them. Yes, this is right. You have to pre-select from a list of questions which they put together for you. If answer is not there, which of course it is not, you have to contact them via email. Much later you get a response saying "seller of tickets hasn't contacted us yet." I'm going through my bank to dispute these fraudulent charges since I have no way of getting a visa or attending a match without a ticket number. Viagogo, no legitimate company would ever operate without a customer service number. You are a scam and a fraud
RIP OFF. I can only repeat what others before me already said. Booked a ticket to see Queen@ Wembley on the first official day of the sale and Viagogo was the first link to pop up so I purchased my ticket from them. I am a huge Queen fan and, as apparently tickets were selling extremely fast, I clicked pay as soon as I could. Now, A few days a go I checked ticket availability on other ticket-selling websites and the tickets were still available at half the price I had paid! But guess what, the extra almost £80 were the Viagogo fees! RIP OFF, AVOID, THEY SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE MARKET.
It's an embarrassment that this company is continuing to operate. It's reputation is appalling and yet it continues to swindle customers every single day.
It has no regard for consumer law in the countries in which it operates and more generally it has no respect for people. It's sole interest is making vast sums of money, at whatever human cost.
I have never known a company to use such a range of dirty tactics to mislead customers. It deliberately positions itself at top of search listings (so unaware customers end up thinking Viagogo is the official ticket seller), the website is filled with tricks to pressure customers into buying quickly, and the customer service is, without question, easily the worst of any company operating in this marketplace. Viagogo doesn't seem to mind telling lies to customers and they make it near impossible to contact them. So when things go wrong, you can do very little indeed.
With a Head Office in Switzerland, they've deliberately made it very difficult for consumers to take Legal action against them.
The UK Government earlier this year said that Viagogo is routinely flouting laws designed to protect consumers and summoned the company (and others) to a parliamentary hearing. Guess what? Viagogo failed to show up (but the other re-selling websites did). I think this tells you everything about how Viagogo operates.
As consumers, if we stand together and use alternative reselling websites we might help to do damage to Viagogo's dominant position and hit them where it hurts - financially!
Governments must act now to close down this business.
Ripoff merchants
£657 for 2 Peter Kay tickets outrageous.
Case ID: ******* and Case ID: *******
Viagogo should refund money due to this legislation http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/15/section/90
Tickets were finally sent to us within 24 hours of the event, we bought them as a gift.
Called and emailed for days and could not get a true answer.
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
